Maybe My Soulmate! (GL)

After hearing Mo Yuxin talk about the black thunder, Su Yubing immediately remembered when they saw a wisp of black thunder quietly floating in the ’Thunder Elemental Territory’ and it seemed like a harmless little thunder. If they didn’t know the horrors of black thunder, probably no one would think that a small wisp of it could kill a normal golden core Cultivator within seconds.

After learning her purpose, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing first began to observe their surroundings to see what surprises this ’Thunder Elemental Territory’ holds.

And the first thing that was extremely eye catching was the densely packed thunders in every single part of their surroundings.

These thunders range from extremely small thunders without much power to extremely large ones which keeps flashing in all over the surroundings.

The thing that surprised them most was these thunders were actually striking their bodies all the time, trying to break through their outer layer of spiritual energy barrier and enter their bodies!

Even the tiny sparks of lighting kept trying to break their energy barrier.

Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing observed these lightings for a moment before they also noticed that the whole thunder elemental territory seemed to shrouded in a golden mist from afar but if looked carefully, all of these are densely packed golden and yellow lighting.

Even the ground here seemed to have become filled with lightings as the colour has also turned golden yellow.

And in the distance, they could see a mass of densely packed beasts, probably the beasts they need to kill in this thunder element territory.

Even from their position, they could see the thousands of beasts densely packed in that place. The beasts also looked golden yellow in colour and the tiny sparks of lighting coming out of their body made it evident that they are also thunder elemental.

But for some reason, all these thousands of rank 3 beasts gathered in one place for something and this is what caught the eyes of Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing the most.

After all, all these rank 3 beasts would definitely not gather in one place like this if there wasn’t something that attracted them.

Thinking of this, Mo Yuxin looked towards Su Yubing and said,

”Let’s go.”

Su Yubing also nodded and they both immediately flew towards the position of those thousands of beasts and the closer they got, the more they saw that the beasts here were all sorts of weird creatures, some had the body of a snake but the head resembled that of a human, some looked like a bear but had no hair on their body instead their whole body glowed with a lighting armour, some even looked like wolfs with a strange pointed spiral horn on their forehead which also crackled with golden lighting. All of these beasts exuded the aura of low level rank 3 to mid level rank 3 but what caught the attention of Mo Yuxin the most was the few really powerful peak level rank 3 beasts in the center of this large gathering.

For some reason, even when Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing approached these beasts, they didn’t seem to bother paying attention to them at all but instead looked towards the center of the gathering where the peak level rank 3 beasts were gathered in a circle and we’re looking at something.

Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing flew directly above these beasts and even saw some flying beasts in the sky but they also didn’t seem to pay any attention to them and continued to look forward towards the center.

From above, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing could see the whole gathering in this place and the gathering of these thousands of beasts spanned an area of thousands of meters and from from position in the sky, it looked like tiny golden yellow dots covering the whole ground below.

But the most important thing was that all of them seemed to have all their focus on the center of this gathering where the peak level rank 3 beasts were gathered in a close circle and were clearly immersed in something.

At this point, Mo Yuxin also noticed that from the center of the gathering, the more closer to the center, the more powerful beasts there were and the more distance from the center, the less powerful the beasts are. At the end of this gathering resides the low level rank 3 beasts but almost 2 third of these beasts were low level rank 3.

Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing were observing this whole peculiar gathering with visible interest on their faces and seeing the gathering, Su Yubing was also happy that they wouldn’t have to go around looking for beasts all over the territory like before as from this gathering, they could already make a guess that probably all the beasts in the territory has gathered in this place.

After a few moments of observation, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing finally looked towards the center where the peak rank 3 beasts were gathered in a small circle. They flew down a little and came closer towards them and seeing that they still didn’t react, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing looked towards the middle to see what it was that made them all gather here.

But the moment they saw it, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing couldn’t help but be stunned by the scene before them!

Su Yubing looked towards Mo Yuxin and happened to look directly into her eyes when she also turned around to look at her and couldn’t help but ask,

”Isn’t this the black lightning you were talking about?”

Hearing her question, Mo Yuxin directly nodded and then they both looked towards the center again.

But what made them stunned isn’t just the black lightning but what this black lightning was doing actually.

Because, they both saw that the thousands of beasts were actually getting all their thunder element sucked out of their body at a steady speed!

They didn’t notice from above but all the thousands of beasts and even the flying beasts in the sky were connected with single thread of golden lighting and this single thread of lighting was connected to the hearts of all these beasts and the end of it was actually directly connected to the black lightning.

But most importantly, when they saw the black lightning from the safe zone, it was only a single wisp but now this black lightning has actually grown to a medium sized lighting with a length of almost 15 meters!

What was even more stranger was that the beasts were actually slowly dying as the lighting element was slowly getting sucked out of them and went towards the black lightning. But even then, the beasts didn’t move, and if looked carefully, their eyes didn’t actually have any colour and were completely gray as if they were Bewitched!

The black lightning was definitely using these thousands of beasts as nutrition to gain more power!!

This was unprecedented! A lighting was actually gaining more power like this which almost makes it seems like it has it’s own consciousness. But that shouldn’t be possible.

Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing could only look at each other as the things they saw were truly something never seen before, but it didn’t take long for them to calm down and accept everything as the world has always been full of mysteries and there could be many thing that haven’t been discovered by humans.

”This..... What should we do?” Su Yubing couldn’t help but ask to which Mo Yuxin just said calmly,

”Nothing. Let’s just watch. From what it’s doing, it wouldn’t take long before all beasts died and we also don’t have to fight at all. But from the looks of it, after absorbing the thunder elements of all these beasts, this black lightning would probably go through some transformation.”

Hearing her answer, Su Yubing also nodded as the only thing they could do now was to just watch.

Mo Yuxin also said,

”Anyway, I wanted to take this black lightning and try to cultivate into a weapon of sorts but seeing that it now, it’s better to wait until after it’s transformation and capture it and subdue it. After all, it’s power is growing at a frightening speed and it would be better to catch it after it has become much more powerful.”

Su Yubing nodded slowly after hearing what Mo Yuxin said and then they both continued to watch the whole thing from afar so as to not disrupt the whole process.

And within a few minutes, the black lightning also completed absorbing the lighting element from all these thousands of beasts and the beasts getting their essence sucked out completely disappeared into tiny particles.

Just when Mo Yuxin thought that it has taken enough and something would probably happen but the black lightning didn’t seem to have any intention of stopping and continued to absorb lighting elements from the territory itself!!

..

But just then the black lightning suddenly burst with a loud bang!!

”Boom!!!
