Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1012: Chapter 1006 Delicious Shrimp Cake_1

The family enjoyed chatting and nibbling on snacks before they began preparing the ingredients they would use the next day. Qin Xue initially planned to close the shop for the New Year and reopen it after the holidays. However, her mother suggested operating it for one more day, leaving Qin Xue no choice but to help prepare the necessary supplies.

After all the preparations, it was time to make dinner. Qin Chaoyang and his wife ended up having dinner at Qin Xue’s place before they went home.

Before going to bed, Chu Molin watched his wife undress their son. She had been busy all day, which made his heart ache.

“Xue’er, take a break soon. I’ll change their clothes,” offered Chu Molin, stepping in to relieve his wife from her duties.

“No need, you rest first. I’m almost done,” Qin Xue insisted, continuing to undress their children herself.

Seeing her like this, Chu Molin didn’t push any further. Instead, he hopped into bed and stared blankly alongside his elder son.

Tonight, their son decided not to sleep with his aunt and had to share the bed with them. Four people sleeping in one bed was a bit much, meaning Chu Molin would have to sleep alone without the comfort of holding his wife. This made him quite upset.

“Weren’t you sleeping well with your aunt last night? Why don’t you want to sleep there tonight?” Chu Molin asked, staring at his son’s widened eyes.

Looking at his father, Yu Ze was speechless. His aunt kept him up all night, always asking him questions. It was truly irritating! He wanted some peace and quiet, but if he went to her room again tonight, he wouldn’t get any sleep. On the other hand, did his father seemed unwelcoming?

After glancing at his father and then at his mother, Yu Ze quickly understood. Did they find him a nuisance here? If that was the case, then he had to insist on sleeping here. His brothers were still young. If they got used to sleeping alone or with other people instead, wouldn’t it become a luxury to sleep with their mother as they got older? No way, he decided to stick with his mother as much as he could in the future.

Chu Molin didn’t realize that this single question and expression would end up causing his elder son to compete with him for his wife’s attention in the future.

“What are you two talking about? Isn’t it cold? Why aren’t you resting yet?” Qin Xue asked, laying her youngest son in the bed and noticing her husband and elder son exchanging glances.

“We’ll sleep now. Since this little guy is sleeping here tonight, I’ll take one of them to the smaller bed. You can just take care of one,” Chu Molin suggested. Since he couldn’t snuggle with his wife tonight, he figured he might as well sleep with one of his sons. He didn’t want his wife to have to take care of both children during the night.

“Can you manage?” Qin Xue asked skeptically. She knew he had minimal experience caring for their children overnight.

“Absolutely. Don’t worry,” reassured Chu Molin as he lifted his eldest son to the other bed. Yu Ze was at a loss for words. Why had his father chosen him instead of Yu Chen? Although he too preferred to sleep separately from his mother, his father’s choice was unsettling.

Regardless, he had been intending to sleep separately from his parents once he grew older anyway. This seemed to be a good opportunity, considering his parents wouldn’t be sleeping together tonight so there won’t be any inappropriate situations. He decided to just sleep with his father.

Seeing her husband taking their oldest son away, Qin Xue just shrugged. After tucking in their youngest, she lay down next to him, ready to cuddle with her son through the night.
