Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 415: Chapter 221: Chaotic World_3

In the end, he even gave himself a hard slap.

The pain brought him back to his senses.

He saw the sea in front of him suddenly begin to rise, the entire ocean starting to spread toward the sky. It wasn’t something emerging from the seabed; rather, the sea surface itself was arching upward. It was like a ribbon of silk, forming an arc in the sky before falling again. The sea ahead and around them rippled like a flat piece of cloth disturbed by a breeze or some external force, becoming uneven.

Watching the sea beside them arch up as if a Mountain Peak had risen, everyone was stunned.

”Is this... the unimaginable change Maldo talked about?” Alka couldn’t help but mutter to himself.

Even though the seawater arched up and floated, extending all the way to the sky, its surface remained calm and undisturbed. There was no slippage due to inertia, as if it were still on a flat plane.

Then, their ship had to touch the slightly raised, hill-like sea surface beside them. However, sailing on it felt no different than sailing on a normal sea; they even felt a breeze suddenly blowing from below. It seemed as if they were still sailing on sea level, not upward. It was as if all the surrounding changes were illusions.

These changes left them bewildered. They couldn’t quite tell if what they were experiencing was an illusion.

Julia frowned deeply, sensing the strangeness of the surrounding environment. Then she spoke, ”The spatial Rules around us have become chaotic. This is the phenomenon caused by Rule disorder. The sea surface we’re sailing on is still flat, but Rule-induced chaos makes this flat sea surface appear irregularly bumpy, yet other Rules remain normal and orderly. Why is this?” As Julia spoke, she herself became bewildered.

How did the Rules around us become chaotic so suddenly when they were perfectly fine just now? And how is it possible that only the spatial Rules became chaotic, affecting only the sea surface and nothing else? Logically, the sky should also be distorted; they might even have floated in the air, which would align with a phenomenon of complete spatial chaos. But this current situation... it feels like a deliberately designed phenomenon. Yet, what purpose would such a deliberate phenomenon serve?

Julia’s mind was filled with questions. Having just arrived in these waters, the very first change they encountered was already challenging her worldview.

Jason watched as their ship reached the summit of the watery Mountain Peak, then started to sail downward. However, even sailing on such a gentle slope, the ship’s speed did not increase; it still felt as if they were sailing on a flat surface. Jason stood on the deck, his body tilted by the ship’s downward angle, yet he remained perfectly upright. He remained perfectly steady, seemingly unaffected by the gravitational pull that should have accompanied the ship’s tilt.

These changes filled his face with delight. He couldn’t help but exclaim, ”This is so interesting!”

”Look at me, look at me!” a voice called from above.

Everyone turned to look. They saw a figure hanging from a thread. However, her descent wasn’t straight down; due to the slope, she was descending at an angle. This completely defied the natural phenomenon of gravity.

When this realization hit Alka, he couldn’t help but pat his head.

Forget it; I just need to put these things out of my mind. This place can no longer be described in terms of the normal world. I should completely abandon my former worldview. As Maldo said, this place is chaotic. Everything is chaotic.

At this moment, the raised sea surface beneath their ship suddenly sank, and they were once again sailing on the normal sea level. Then, the sea ahead suddenly began to curl, the rolling water carrying them upward into the sky. This phenomenon instinctively made everyone grip nearby objects, yet they felt no sense of weightlessness; their feet remained firmly planted on the deck. And the ship continued to sail steadily on the sea surface.

The seawater continued to shift until it had completely inverted, forming a tunnel-like cylinder with the surrounding water. Their ship sailed along the upper, inner surface of this cylinder, as if they were upside down in the sky. Even so, they still stood firmly on the deck, even when they were at a 90-degree angle.

”So... are we up or down now?” Pororo scratched his head, unable to stop himself from asking.

From their perspective, flowing seawater was also above their heads, yet they felt no sensation of being vertical, as if they were sailing on flat ground. If not for the fact that they had just been lifted into the sky by the seawater beneath their feet, they might have believed that seawater was simply floating above their heads.

Such an exaggerated transformation left Julia standing there, utterly dazed.

This was no longer just an issue of chaotic spatial Rules. It was as if a child had taken flat space and rolled it up like paper to play with.

Matilda, who had been beside her the whole time, saw Julia’s unusually dazed expression and gently patted her shoulder in comfort.

”What a damn mess...” Alka muttered to himself, gazing at the seawater above.

The ship continued to sail.

Before long, they could clearly see the seawater beginning to return to normal. Within a very short time, the surrounding sea surface reverted to a normal sea level, as if the changes they had just experienced were merely a figment of their imagination.

At this moment, a dinging sound came from the watchtower. When everyone looked up, they saw the lookout poke her head out of the window. She had already fully accepted the changes in this place, some aspects even becoming unremarkable to her, yet she remained vigilant at her post.

”An Island ahead? Should we approach?”

Upon hearing this, everyone looked forward, and after a short while, a tiny black dot appeared within their line of sight.

To think they’d spotted an Island after only half a day!

”Approach it.”
