Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 229: Chapter 159 Frost Blade_3

He waved his hand, and the ship set off once more.

Looking at the bodies in the sea beneath the ship, Alka thought they resembled seals he had seen before. Only, they looked more bloodthirsty and savage, and they were white.

”These monsters, aside from their numbers, don’t seem particularly special,” Jason remarked, gazing at the bodies drifting farther away.

During the attack, the monsters had charged upwards from both sides. It was evident they fought in a group, numbering at least fifty.

Pororo, beside them, shook his head.

”More than that. Their movements in the water are completely silent; very stealthy. True aquatic predators.”

He had a point. After all, Alka and the others had only noticed something was amiss when the monsters actually launched their attack.

It seems this sea area is indeed very dangerous for ordinary ships.Perhaps no ships have passed through here for a long time.

For any ordinary vessel passing through these waters, these Sea Beasts were nothing short of a nightmare. They could easily pierce a hull, causing the ship to sink. The reason the ship’s alarm had sounded earlier was precisely because these Sea Beasts had first attacked its hull. However, being a Spell Ship, it wasn’t so easily harmed by these common Sea Beasts.

It seemed those Sea Beasts had learned their lesson. The rest of the voyage continued without any further attacks from them; they appeared to understand that this ship was not to be trifled with.

After this small interlude, life onboard returned to normal. Bored, a few of them picked up shovels and resumed clearing the snow from the deck.

Alka looked at the map of Icecap Island in his hand, focusing on the sole blue dot marked on it. Even though he knew this spot wasn’t their mission target, Alka still intended to go there because of that blue dot. It has enough value.

[Frost Blade]

[Difficulty: Icefield Hunter (Two Spirals)]

[Fame: 16]

[Treasure Information: A member of the Frost Cold Bloodline fell here, his weapon buried with him in the Frost.]

The so-called Frost Cold Bloodline referred to the family from 800 years ago who had possessed the Frost Treasure. However, the Treasure Information was sparse, indicating that this individual of the Frost Cold Bloodline was not the elder who had departed with the Treasure. But from the information, it was clear that what remained at this location was a weapon. And Magic Weapons were usually high-grade, let alone one belonging to a person of the Frost Cold Bloodline. Weapons used by such a family were generally not low-level.

This is worth the trip. We can detour to the other side later; it won’t be too late.

However, the Extreme Cold Triangle Zone was much larger than they had imagined. They had been sailing in this area for nearly three days when Alka, standing at the bow, finally caught sight of a small island in the distance, shrouded in pristine white snow.

It was around noon, with the sun shining directly down, but it only provided some warmth to their bodies, having no effect on the surrounding snow.

As they drew nearer, Alka finally saw the island in its entirety. No wonder this island was called Icecap. From afar, it appeared as an irregular, circular island, almost entirely flat, without any significant rises or depressions. It was remarkably smooth, even barren of plants, truly like a cap made of Frost. The entire island was a boundless plain of ice and snow, covered in deep drifts.

They maneuvered the Spell Ship in a wide circle around it.

”It’s no use,” Chadite said. ”There’s no suitable place on this island to dock the ship. We’ll have to leave the ship here. You all take the Swift Flyer to the island; I’ll remain onboard.”

In such situations, someone had to remain on the ship to guard it.

”Then I’ll stay too,” Julia volunteered, raising her hand.

Alka nodded, agreeing with their decisions. A map of the island already existed, so there was no need for Chadite to go ashore to survey and map it. Besides, Alka’s real reason for coming to this island was simply to retrieve that blue Magic Weapon. He had previously informed everyone that they weren’t coming here for Treasure, but for potential clues. The Two Spirals difficulty should be manageable for the three of them.

After saying goodbye to the two who were staying, they lowered the Swift Flyer to the sea. Alka, along with Lucilia, Jason, and Pororo, then rode the Swift Flyer, rowing quickly towards the island.

The lightweight Swift Flyer reached the shore in an instant and was pulled ashore by the three of them. Alka waved to Chadite on the Spell Ship out at sea. The ship’s Vibrating Stone Cannon remained aimed at the shore, incidentally also guarding their Swift Flyer on the beach.

The three of them then set off onto the island. Lucilia also slipped into her doll’s body and perched on Alka’s shoulder.

Alka consulted the map, looking for the blue dot’s location. It looks like it’s roughly in the center of the island.

On this vast, flat icy plain, everything was clearly visible. However, every step sank deep into the snow, severely hindering their progress. The icefield, basking in sunlight, reflected dazzling rays, making the entire island shimmer like a diamond in the sea.

”This place is really beautiful,” Jason couldn’t help but say, having never seen such a landscape before.

Alka nodded in agreement but still warned, ”Be careful and stay vigilant. The information stated that these islands aren’t safe, nor is this sea region—the Treasure Hunting System also clearly marked it as such. There are beasts here with strength comparable to Two Spirals.”

Hearing this, Jason nodded, taking the Vibrating Stone Gun from his back and holding it ready.

At this moment, Pororo suddenly stopped. He slowly crouched, pressing an ear to the ice beneath them to listen intently.

”There must be some kind of monster hidden beneath this ice,” Pororo said. ”The movements are quite large, and I can hear them from a long way off.”

Upon hearing this, Jason’s brow furrowed.
