Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 221: Chapter 157: A New Journey

Great Cathedral.

Alka and the others had been resting on the island for nearly a month. Chadite had also finalized the arrangements for the treasure. Now, they just needed to wait for the opportune moment when the right people would sell it. The expected return was between 4,500 and 5,000 Golden Sail—a definite fortune. However, considering the cost of resetting the Music Ship, there wouldn’t be much left.

Alka had also received the primary intelligence for their mission from the Archbishop. Again, it was a suitcase. Alka took the suitcase to the living room.

Speaking of which, it was a bit embarrassing. They had been staying in Bobby’s villa for a whole month. Bobby didn’t mind at all; in fact, he was quite happy about it. After all, the whole villa had become much livelier, which was perfect for an elderly person. As for Andre and Vanessa, they hadn’t yet decided what to do next. It wasn’t because there were no options, but rather because there were too many.

Alka placed the suitcase on the coffee table, opened it, and started going through the documents inside. It still contained some papers with recorded information along with several maps of varying sizes; this time, there were even some illustrations. Alka first picked up these documents and casually browsed through them.

The doll at his waist suddenly moved twice, and Lucilia slipped into the doll, jumping onto the coffee table. She also started going through these documents.

These materials were very detailed, covering the Treasure’s origin, its name, general abilities, and the hands it had passed through before disappearing. For others, this information undoubtedly wouldn’t be enough. Locating the Treasure precisely would still be a distant prospect. But for Alka, this was completely sufficient, not to mention the general maps provided for precise localization. This would significantly reduce Alka’s time. With maps, Alka could locate the Treasure. Having more information was even better.

After briefly processing these documents, he already had a rough grasp of the information about the Treasure. He then picked up the map most important to him: a detailed map of a small island and a regional map.

The small island was one of the islands in this area. The Church suspected the item might be on this island, but they weren’t certain. However, it was certain to be within this area.

Alka first looked at the detailed small island map and blinked. A single point of light glowed on the map. There were no white ones, only a single blue point of light, situated in isolation on the small island.

Wasn’t it supposed to be gold? Alka frowned. It seemed the Church’s hypothesis wasn’t very accurate.

He then turned to look at the regional map. With another blink, points of light appeared one by one on the regional map. Alka counted them: three blue, one gold, and a few white.

The presence of a gold spot was good. At least there was some accurate localization. Even though the Church hadn’t pinpointed the exact island, the general area was identifiable. For Alka, that was entirely sufficient. According to the marked location on the regional map, the gold spot was on a larger island.

A map appeared in Alka’s hand... no, it can’t be called a world map now. A map of the Northern Homeland Sea. He began to examine in which direction this area lay within the Homeland Sea.

The Extreme Cold Triangle Zone. This was where the regional map indicated, located in the southernmost part of the Homeland Sea. It wasn’t too far from them. The journey, depending on the Spell Ship they were currently on, would take approximately two to three months. The exact duration of the journey would still depend on sea conditions.

[Extreme Cold Triangle Zone]

[Treasure Quantity: White - Small Amount, Blue - Medium Amount, Gold - Small Amount]

[Zone Difficulty: Difficult]

[Zone Introduction: Situated at the southernmost part of the Homeland Sea, this area is perennially covered in frost, and the entire cold region consists of three large islands connected in a triangle.

800 years ago, it was a famous food-producing island chain, producing premium meat, fruit, and grain from the three islands.

The eruption of a Holy Grail-grade Ice Elemental Treasure affected this area, and now the population on the three islands does not exceed 1,000 people.]

While Alka was reviewing the map, Chadite also entered the living room and started going through the documents. Looking at the recorded information, Chadite couldn’t help but ask, ”A Treasure that went missing 800 years ago? Isn’t that a bit too long? Could this information be outdated?”

The Church had assigned them to search for a Treasure that had last appeared in the Extreme Cold Triangle Zone 800 years ago. This Treasure had once been held by a very famous family, which, because of it, produced a large number of practitioners with the Ice Attribute. In a place like the sea, practitioners whose Magic Power carried such an attribute could more easily learn Spells related to frost and freezing. They inherently had some advantage in naval combat.

However, a family elder later disappeared with the Treasure, and the family rapidly declined over the following 300 years. Without the Treasure, they naturally lost the ability to produce such practitioners. Rapid decline was inevitable. Their ability to persist for 300 years already demonstrated their strength.

And shortly after that elder vanished, the area became an extremely cold place. Previously, the region had been like spring all year round, and the surrounding environment could not possibly have created such extreme cold conditions.
