Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1685: Chapter 1683: Archbishop of Sin (Unable to Revert Cat Form!)

The radiance flickered.

In the next moment, Fang Zheng appeared in an open space; everywhere he looked, he could see the bodies of Witch Cultists wearing black robes similar to those of the FFF group, as well as the bodies of adventurers. At this moment, only the masked girl from Blue Rose and Radis were struggling to hold on, and the others were also seriously injured.

”Yo, it seems you’re in a pretty rough situation.”

”Lord Fang Zheng!!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s voice, the masked girl and Radis quickly turned their heads and looked over, revealing excited expressions. At the same time, the person they were fighting also seemed to notice Fang Zheng’s presence and stopped the battle. The masked girl and Radis swiftly retreated and left the battlefield, coming to Fang Zheng’s side.

”Be careful, Lord Fang Zheng, he’s the Archbishop of Sin from the Witch Cult!”

”Oh......”

Upon hearing Radis’s report, Fang Zheng nodded, then carefully scrutinized the opponent. It was a man whose age was indiscernible, dressed in a black robe, with wild green grass-colored hair, and a facial expression that seemed very odd.

Basically......isn’t this just like Roswaal!

As expected, the Joker was indeed a Witch Cultist without a doubt!

”You guys go take care of the others. Leave this guy to me.”

”Alright.”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s command, the two did not hesitate at all and nodded. They were fully aware of Fang Zheng’s strength and naturally didn’t question his ability to defeat the Archbishop of Sin.

”Ah.....”

However, just at this moment, Fang Zheng noticed that the Archbishop of Sin suddenly twisted his upper body as if doing therapeutic exercises, turning around in an extremely awkward posture to look at him. His eyes were wide open, as if he had seen something incredible.

”I can’t believe it...... to meet someone so beloved by the Witch here...... who are you?”

”Isn’t it customary to introduce oneself when asking someone their name?”

”That is indeed rude; I forgot to greet you.”

Maintaining a split posture, the Archbishop of Sin bent down to bow.

”I am Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti, the Archbishop of Sin in the Witch Cult, serving as the Sloth Archbishop.”

”Petel... what... never mind.”

Fang Zheng considered for a moment and decisively gave up; the name was too tricky.

Besides, he was soon to die anyway, so there was no need to worry about this.

”Now, answer my question, you beloved by the Witch......!”

But just at this moment, Sloth suddenly extended his hand toward Fang Zheng.

”Are you Pride?!”

”.........?”

”This aura, this intense Witch’s aura, ah, this is the proof of your being beloved by the Witch! Yet, I never discovered such a believer, I am far too slothful! Slothful! Slothful! Slothful! Witch, please forgive my slothfulness ahhhhhhh!!”

Saying this, Fang Zheng saw the man start screaming while frantically grabbing a nearby stone and smashing his head against it.

”.........”

There’s no need for me to take action; he’s just going to commit suicide directly like this?

”No.”

Just at this moment, Sloth suddenly stopped and once again widened his eyes to look at Fang Zheng.

”This scent, this Witch’s scent...... is it the Witch? No, I think it’s...... is not...... Why can’t I discern it? Who are you? What exactly are you? Why do you have such favor? More importantly, whose favor is this from!!”

”—————!”

Accompanied by sharp screams, Fang Zheng suddenly saw dozens of pitch-black arms extend behind Sloth, and then, like tentacles, they pounced on him.

”Hmph!”

Looking at those ugly arms, Fang Zheng snorted coldly, and in the next moment, the Magic Aura around him flickered, sharp spatial fractures unfolded, slicing all the black arms rushing at him into fragments.

And seeing this, Sloth’s expression became even more astonished.

”How is it possible? How can you see my Invisible Hand? How is this possible? My authority, the bestowed authority of Sloth, can actually be seen by others! Unforgivable! Unforgivable! Unforgivable!”

Invisible Hand? I see, others can’t see them.

Fang Zheng finally understood why those adventurers lost so miserably; it is somewhat similar to the Hand of the Mage, but unlike the Hand of the Mage, which can only move objects, this Invisible Hand is obviously very aggressive, making the enemy indeed quite challenging for those adventurers who can’t see these arms in front of them.

”You’re very slothful! How can you be so slothful! Diligence, only diligence is the true essence of love!”

Sloth was getting increasingly crazy, but Fang Zheng was too lazy to talk to him any longer. He originally thought about extracting some intelligence from this fellow named Petel-whatever, but now he decided to forget it. Spending too much time with a lunatic might make him end up crazy too.

Speaking of which, whether it’s that Joker or this guy, indeed the Witch Cult is basically a mental asylum.

Mad people should be properly locked up!

With this in mind, Fang Zheng swung his Greatsword fiercely; flames erupted in response, and Fang Zheng raised his Greatsword and swung it forward.

”Boom!!!”

The Fire Dragon formed of flames roared and rushed towards Sloth, brandishing its claws and teeth, while facing the Fire Dragon ahead, Sloth seemed fearless. He opened his arms, and increasingly larger pitch-black arms extended viciously toward the Fire Dragon.

If it were ordinary flame creations, he might truly have succeeded. But unfortunately, what formed the Dragon’s body is the flame from the dawn of the world.

Primordial Fire.

The black arms disintegrated instantly upon contact with the Fire Dragon’s body, as if a sand-made stick hit steel. Then the Fire Dragon opened its mouth and swallowed Sloth whole.

”Hahaha, so hot, so hot! This is diligence! These flames are truly diligent! But, I won’t die like this! I am Sloth!!”

Accompanied by this insane scream, Fang Zheng saw Sloth’s body instantly burn to cinders, while at the same time, a wisp of black mist drilled out, suddenly soaring towards the sky. But the next moment, the relentless Primordial Fire followed closely like a shadow, striking the wisp of black mist. Gradually, the black mist exploded like ignited kerosene, forming a scene like scattered flowers that vanished into the sky.

”Is everyone in this world doing possession?”

Watching the fireworks gradually dissipate, Fang Zheng helplessly shook his head. Both Meiyin and Mel had done possession, and that Roswaal, according to Beatrice, seemed to have the ability to possess his descendants. This guy Pei-whatever clearly wanted to transfer his soul to somewhere else, probably possession again.

Is this world a realm of possession? Always crossing souls back and forth?

Isn’t this a fantasy world? Why does it feel like I’m in Shushan?

However, at this moment, a line of system prompts suddenly popped up in front of Fang Zheng.

Matching skill?

Seeing this, Fang Zheng was taken aback.

Where do I match with that lunatic!

But speaking of which, what exactly is the witch’s affection?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng lowered his head and sniffed his body. If he remembered correctly, Sloth earlier kept saying he had the witch’s scent on him... I’ve never seen a witch, how could I have the witch’s scent.

”You agree, right.”

While petting the kitten climbing out from his embrace, Fang Zheng said, and the kitten looked at him with a meow, then stretched its head to nuzzle against Fang Zheng’s chin...

Aww, the kitten is just too cute!

Maybe that idiot mistook the cat’s scent for the witch’s scent, or are witches all cats?

This thought briefly crossed Fang Zheng’s mind.

Forget it, why take a lunatic seriously.

But speaking of which, what use is this Invisible Hand?

Back to the castle, Fang Zheng was still pondering this question. To Fang Zheng, the Invisible Hand seemed utterly useless. If he wanted to fetch something from afar, he’d use Hand of the Mage; for battle, all sorts of spells and swordsmanship are more reliable than this hand, plus when released, it feels like a tentacle monster, really repulsive.

Even if I really needed tentacles, I could summon Isaac’s Black Tentacle!

Why use this thing?

By the way, is this thing really invisible?

At least Fang Zheng could see it himself.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng glanced around, happening to see Emilia and Megumin chatting on the balcony. Though he didn’t know what they were discussing, seeing Megumin enthusiastically gesturing and Emilia’s confused expression, it was clear Megumin was in her Chuunibyou mode again.

Speaking of which, their voices are rather similar too, just that Emilia isn’t as Chuunibyou as Megumin.

Right, might as well experiment!

Seeing this, Fang Zheng suddenly had a mischievous thought. Immediately, an ”Invisible Hand” extended through the hall, reaching towards the balcony and came up behind Megumin.

Meanwhile, Megumin was excitedly waving her arms, explaining to Emilia.

”So, I’ve decided, I’ll only love Burst Magic in my life. Only Burst Magic is truth and justice! Mr. Fang Zheng just doesn’t understand this. If I learned other magic, then what about my love for Burst Magic? I’m not Yuyuu, and Yuyuu is also pretty dumb. Even though she’s also a Grand Archmage and knows more spells than me, she always loses to me! This proves...!!”

However, before Megumin could finish her sentence, she suddenly screamed, jumped up, and looked back completely flustered.

”What’s wrong, Miss Megumin?”

Seeing Megumin’s bizarre behavior, Emilia was baffled.

”Uh... this...”

Megumin looked puzzled at the empty space behind her.

”I felt like someone was touching me...”

”There’s no one there?”

Emilia also glanced behind Megumin, confirming there was nobody.

”Really? But why did I feel... ah!”

However, before finishing her words, Megumin suddenly let out a strange cry.

”You, are you okay?”

”Wait, it tickles... hahaha, wait, something’s really touching me!”

”Could... could it be a ghost?!”

Upon hearing this, Emilia’s face instantly turned pale, and Megumin’s was equally pale.

”Wait, why would there be a ghost? I haven’t done anything to be haunted by a ghost! Waaah, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, help!! Cleric!!”

As she wailed, Megumin ran towards the end of the corridor, apparently off to find the Priestess of the Goddess for help.

”Hmm...”

Retracting his gaze from the sprinting Megumin, Fang Zheng nodded in satisfaction.
