From Arsenal to the Ball God

Chapter 326: Chapter 100: Bulldozer-Style Violent Break-In! Ah Bu and Mendes Open Up! Acrobatic Goal!!

Boas on the sidelines shouted nervously as Chelsea rapidly launched a full retreat back to their defense, the sight was quite spectacular.

With Walcott appearing more in the midfield position in the second half, not very conspicuous, their defense on the right was a bit lax.

In an unnoticed corner, Arsenal’s right-back, the famous singer Sagna, charged up from the right flank, heading straight for the penalty area.

”Boom!”

Alexander Song took a few steps with the ball and then made a long pass, the landing point of the football was very precise.

Without stopping the ball, Sagna used the arch of his foot to flick it towards the far post, the ball smashed into the goal net.

Goal!

Two to two!

Iron tree blossomed!

”Oh.....!”

All the Arsenal players rushed towards Sagna, tackling their usually non-scoring teammate to the ground.

”Dang dang dang dang.....!”

Sagna pretended to hold a guitar, joyfully dancing on the sidelines, singing and celebrating, ”I have a friend! He is dangerous on the field, he charges forward like a demon! He always steps up when needed!”

Ma’el and Van Persie followed beside him, imitating his dance moves.

Everyone was in a good mood, seeing the hope of achieving an unbeaten October!

Charge forward!

For the hope of revival!

”Come on!!”

”We are the best!!”

Arsenal players encouraged each other, and after celebrating, they all ran back to their half.

No one can clearly define what cohesion is or how exactly to enhance it.... it isn’t something Wenger can solve by reading a few books like ”If You Can’t Lead a Team, You’ll Work to Death” or ”18 Challenges of Leadership”.

But one thing is certain, if a team can continuously win and remain in an atmosphere of joy, it will slowly build cohesion!

Few people would suddenly burst with dissatisfaction when they are in a good mood, causing friction with others.

On the sidelines, Boas felt the pressure mounting, and this time he didn’t yell at his defense, a goal conceded in such a transition couldn’t be blamed on the players.

But..... what to do now?

Before the match, he had confidently promised the boss that he would secure this important victory and lead the team to change their status, making a push for the top of the league table.

Ah Bu had also waved his hand grandly, promising everyone a £3 million bonus to share if they won this match.

The money wasn’t the key, each person might only get around £100,000.

But importantly, if Ah Bu couldn’t even deliver on his ”promised” money, wanting to spend but unable to, the boss’s anger would be imaginable.

”How about strengthening the defense?” An assistant coach approached him with a suggestion.

”No.”

Boas refused decisively, saying: ”Find a way to seize the transition, seek more goals, overall, the team’s defense today is pretty good.”

”Huh?” The assistant thought he misheard, how could a team say their defense is good after conceding two goals.

”Ma’el didn’t score.”

Boas stated his criteria, adding: ”Arsenal is also a team strong in attack but weak in defense, conceding 2 goals is normal, we just need to score more.”

...

In the 56th minute, after Chelsea pressed forward in attack, Arsenal countered with a fast transition.

”Boom boom boom!”

After a few consecutive one-touch passes, Arteta made a long pass to Walcott, who brought the ball to a dangerous area before passing it horizontally to Van Persie.

This time, Ma’el didn’t drop back to receive the ball, he stayed ahead on the leftmost side, accelerating to insert himself into the opponent’s defensive line.

Terry specially marked him this time, following him to block his path after noticing his intention to move forward.

Realizing Van Persie had no intention to pass, Ma’el stopped, moved out of the penalty area, and awaited another chance to accelerate.

”Pa pa!”

In the center, Van Persie’s feet quickly made contact with the football, evading Chelsea’s midfield and defensive players.

He noticed Ma’el’s earlier run but wasn’t sure how to send a direct pass.

In fact, with his technical finesse, whether it’s toe-poke passes or through-balls, he can execute them.

But in terms of creativity and imagination, these usually only manifest when he’s shooting himself, while passing to teammates, he considers more about responsibility.... if it’s easy for the teammate to receive, whether it can create opportunities, and so on.

”Pa pa...”

He was still controlling the ball, the longer he dribbled, the more dangerous his position became, as the opponent’s encirclement was closing in.

”Aye!” Just then, a shout came from his left side.

Van Persie knew it was Ma’el’s voice, and it reminded him to try to get the ball into the penalty area.

”Whoosh!”

Hesitating for a moment, with no other good options, Van Persie hit the base of the football with the outside of his left foot, instantly lifting it towards the direction of the voice, giving it a slight lead.

He didn’t have time to look at Ma’el when he passed, only relying on intuition.

After passing, seeing Chelsea players disperse and dash back towards Ma’el, he finally lifted his head to look in that direction.

”Bang!”

It wasn’t the sound of the football hitting the ground, it was Ma’el toppling Uncle Mata outside the penalty area, the latter’s small frame unable to withstand the collision.

His attempt to block failed, and Ma’el charged towards the football with an unstoppable momentum.

”Go on!”

Van Persie’s heart pounded fiercely, everything depended on Ma’el now.

In front of the penalty area, several Chelsea players glanced nervously at the referee, and after realizing the referee didn’t plan to blow the whistle, they gritted their teeth and charged towards the landing spot of the football along with Ma’el.
