From Arsenal to the Ball God

Chapter 301: Chapter 94: Can Arsenal Win the Premier League? Ma’el Breaks 15 Million on Social Media! The Pricey Cryotherapy Chamber_3

”3-2! Arsenal wins the derby! Ma’el scores twice and is named the Premier League Man of the Match for the second time in his career!” - BBC Premier League Column

”Incredible! Two goals in the first match of the month, Ma’el is once again in the running for Player of the Month!” - London Evening Paper

”It’s only the 7th round and the season isn’t even into March, everything has just begun... Don’t rush, keep moving forward, and you’ll get what you want.” - Aguero’s latest social media post

”Stay focused, aim for the 13th trophy!” - Rooney posts a training photo

”Ma’el’s Golden Boot odds rise to 5th place! Just behind Van Persie, Rooney, Aguero, and Dzeko! Entering the league of top scorers after 7 rounds!” - Stats Website

”Ma’el 10 goals, Dzeko 9 goals, Rooney 8 goals, Van Persie 6 goals.” - Premier League Top Scorer Rankings

The next day, the news of Ma’el topping the Premier League scoring chart swept across Europe, reminiscent of the hype when he scored a hat-trick on his Premier League debut.

Even though the season has just started, anyone could potentially lead the scoring chart at this time... but the hot topics surrounding him make it understandable why the excitement is so high.

”Let’s calculate, Dzeko has already had a four-goal game and a hat-trick against weaker teams, he might run out of steam... In the next 3 rounds, Ma’el only faces Rooney as a real opponent.”

”So, does that mean he could hold the top spot for the rest of the month? Perhaps even win it all?”

”Winning the Premier League Golden Boot at 18 seems rather fantastical, but holding it for a month is possible, he’s on fire.”

”Dzeko beats up weaker teams? Didn’t Ma’el also score well against weaker teams? Why doesn’t he beat weaker teams and score four goals?”

”Isn’t scoring many goals against strong teams more impressive than scoring against weaker ones? What kind of logic is that... can’t even defend their own players properly.”

”Classic comparison - Ronaldo Comparison Method, Ronaldo joined the Eredivisie giant Eindhoven at 18 and in 64 appearances including friendlies, scored 68 goals and assisted 13. Who’s stronger?”

”Without including friendlies?”

”57 appearances, 54 goals, 7 assists.”

”In that case, reaching a consensus that 17-year-old Ma’el is stronger than 17-year-old Ronaldo, I still irrationally believe that 18-year-old Ma’el is stronger than 18-year-old Ronaldo.”

”Moreover, can the Eredivisie compare to the Premier League?”

”That was the 90s, back then the Eredivisie probably had more dominance than the current Premier League, right?”

”Pretty much, if you put it that way, it’s really a good comparison... hmm, I still think Ma’el is stronger, let’s see if he can maintain that stability.”

”But Ronaldo didn’t win many trophies, slightly unfortunate timing, hopefully, Ma’el can win more championships.”

Once again, the online debate about who is stronger, Ma’el or Ronaldo, flares up, invariably attracting heated discussions among fans every time.

At the core, it’s clear they’ve always regarded Ma’el as a top-tier talent from the start.

Otherwise, they’d be comparing him to other already retired players instead.

Overall, having some hype is a good thing, as Ma’el’s influence is gradually permeating the entire world of football, reaching every corner of the globe.

When he truly becomes an international football superstar, he will step beyond the football circle and expand into other industries, gradually becoming a global phenomenon.

......

”Ah...!”

In the villa’s therapy room, Ma’el let out a scream akin to a pig being slaughtered, nearly bouncing off the therapy bed.

”Three consecutive high-intensity games have really taken a toll.”

Harry looked very serious as he massaged Ma’el’s sore areas, ”The Premier League schedule is still too tight, running this way will cause issues in the latter half of the season.”

Safina by the side didn’t say a word, she continued massaging other parts and had been helping for a few months now.

”Is there any solution?”

Ma’el tensed his leg muscles, realizing how severe the fatigue really was.

His legs almost never had a moment without pain, the last time he felt relaxed like a normal person was right after he had just crossed over.

Day-to-day, it varied only from slightly painful to very painful.

”The liquid nitrogen freeze therapy chamber is a must.”

Harry eased up on the massage pressure, saying as he worked, ”I’ve mentioned this to you before, this is a piece of high-tech equipment, with temperatures reaching as low as negative 200 degrees, great for relieving fatigue.”

”An oxygen chamber should be added too, the rest of the equipment you already have in this house.

”Don’t think these things are unimportant, the focus isn’t on treating this vulnerable area, it’s about preventing issues in other parts, that’s the key.”

”How much would it cost?” Ma’el, seeing the logic, asked about the price.

”If you choose the best, it might be over a million pounds.” Harry hadn’t checked the market for this kind of equipment recently, so he could only give a rough estimate.

”A million pounds.”

Ma’el instantly felt troubled, his savings right now should be over 300 million pounds... basically, all earned after he came to London, as he’d almost spent all of it at one point before.

Goes over it simply, the signing fee was 2.1 million pounds, endorsement fees after-tax and division was 430,000 pounds, and with the pre-raise salary earned being about 400,000 pounds, that would nearly reach 3 million pounds.

Post-raise, he collected 6 weeks of salary, around 380,000 pounds after-tax.

But the major part is bonuses, although he hasn’t triggered substantial championship bonus clauses yet, attendance and goals added up quite a bit.

He earns 20,000 pounds for each goal, 15,000 pounds for each assist, and attendance also gives around 10,000 pounds.

Plus various other miscellaneous amounts, his bonuses currently total around 550,000 pounds.

Overall, deducting all sorts of expenditures, he holds about 3.5 million pounds.
