From Arsenal to the Ball God

Chapter 302: Chapter 94: Arsenal Competing for the Premier League Title? Ma’el’s Social Media Surpasses 15 Million! The Expensive Cryotherapy Chamber (Part 4)

”Buy it.”

Ma’el quickly made a decision, gritting his teeth, ”Contact the best for me, I can accept it being slightly more expensive.”

It’s really hard to make money, but easy to spend it... it’s the same no matter how much you have.

Have to aim for the championship to make a charge, securing at least a million pounds in income, sometimes even more.

”Okay.” Harry nodded, ”I’ll go check first, and when the time comes, you contact Mr. Mendes to see if he can get a better price.”

”Alright.” Ma’el agreed, relaxing and enjoying the physical therapy massage.

He browsed through his social media apps, noticing the surge in his followers, which had begun to increase rapidly once again in the past couple of days.

Facebook and Twitter were aiming for 7 million, and under his care, Instagram was also nearing 1.5 million.

If you add the accounts from various countries, his followers across all platforms must exceed 15 million.

Though it’s not comparable to megastars who easily have over a hundred million on a single platform, for a football rookie, it’s already quite impressive.

By the end of this season, should his total followers across platforms surpass 30 million?

By then, the promotion fee for a single post should exceed 250,000, right?

Ma’el felt a bit better; seeing positive feedback from multiple fronts at such times was quite satisfying.

Next, focus on proper physical therapy, intensify training, and aim to achieve higher results on all fronts!

...

Time slowly moved toward mid-October, and with the national team match day approaching, the club’s operations across all fronts would take a two-week break.

This was good, providing Ma’el with a buffer to relieve physical fatigue... anyway, he hadn’t received a call-up from the France team yet.

Though coach Blanco called him every other week, most of the conversation was pointless chatter, like encouraging him to train hard and stating how much they believe in him.

They didn’t seem in a hurry?

Then Ma’el wasn’t in a rush either, as the European Cup was still a long way off, and their matches were just European Qualifiers and friendlies.

During this period, it would be better to enhance his capabilities and strive for better results in the second half of the league and the Champions League!

If he still hadn’t been called up a few months before the European Cup, then it would be time to worry.

As a player aspiring to achieve the Grand Slam and be crowned the Ballon d’Or, continental competitions like the European Cup and World Cup are indispensable.

These events occur every four years, and missing out means waiting another four years, which is too costly.

”Let’s check the skill level.”

Ma’el set this matter aside for now and focused his attention on his own training.

It can be seen that Judging the Situation and Ball Control are close to leveling up, while the others still require some time.

Judging the Situation can’t be rushed; it mostly improves gradually with increased experience. Ball Control, however, is more manageable, as the training time can be adjusted to intensify it.

But for Ball Control, it evidently needs to be paired with Rhythm; practicing it alone probably won’t significantly enhance his game performance.

It’s best to progress steadily on multiple fronts since they’ll all eventually level up anyway.

”Bang... bang... bang!”

On the training ground, the sounds of various touches echoed again as Ma’el began to repetitively practice some simple moves, growing amidst the monotony and struggle.

”Faster! Faster!!”

”That’s right! Just like that, you’ll eventually be able to dribble like Romario... I don’t believe others can achieve this through training, but if it’s you, I do!”

”.....”

”Stick to it! Last set!”

”Reward yourself with one more set! Come on! You can do it; you have to flirt with the edge of your limits, make the ’limit’ collapse before you, then surpass it!”

”.....”

”Hey, the therapy equipment should arrive soon, and by then, your body should feel better.”

”Next time, I’ll have to call Jose and Davis over for a massage to check out the mess they leave us every night.”

”.....”

So, besides club training, Ma’el would follow Jose in the morning, Davis in the afternoon, and Safina and Harry at night.

He had grown accustomed to living and training with these people of diverse personalities. The days were full, and occasionally there was some small joy.

On October 13th, the cryotherapy chamber and oxygen cabin finally arrived. They were two unassuming medium-sized chambers... Anyway, they didn’t look like something worth 1.16 million pounds at a 10% discount.

After the patient explanations of the two staff members, the group of five eagerly stood before the chambers, ready to send someone in to try them out first.

Since Ma’el was the employer, it wasn’t appropriate to send him in, leaving the other four hesitating back and forth.

”Harry, you go. This was your suggestion, you must be familiar with using it.”

”No, no, Jose, you go. You’ve been training for years and your body is better.”

”If you’re going to say that, I nominate Safina. She has a regular diet and a good physique.”

”Hey! Isn’t David going... Forget it, he’s not suitable.”

”Hey!” Davis saw everyone was dismissing him because of his age. Although he suspected it might be reverse psychology, he still took off his clothes and stood before the cryotherapy chamber, wanting to prove himself.

After he stepped inside, Harry turned on the machine outside, grinning mischievously, ”Want it strong or stronger?”

Davis crossed his arms and hugged himself, feeling both tense and speechless: ”.....what’s the difference?”

”160 and 180.” Harry adjusted the temperature while helping Davis make the choice, ”30 seconds, minus 180 degrees, here we go!”

In reality, people cannot survive in minus 180-degree conditions, but the liquid nitrogen machine merely simulates a low-temperature atmosphere; the 180 degrees here is different from the actual 180 degrees.

”Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!” The cabin filled instantly with cold air, appearing to be shrouded in mist.

Davis sat rigidly inside, having shivered just moments before, but now completely still.

Outside, Ma’el and the others felt nothing and could only gesture to him, using hand signals to inquire about his condition.

Davis responded with a thumbs up, reassuring the group a little.

”It’s no big deal.” Jose remarked casually while stretching his arms, seemingly ready to try it himself.

Once Davis exited with a calm look, he immediately asked, ”How does it feel?”

”Very... refreshing.” Davis gave a thumbs up and nodded, walking aside as if nothing happened.

Jose quickly stepped in and told Harry, ”180, 40 seconds, let’s go!”

”Boom!”

”Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!”

As the chamber door closed, cold air gushed forth, and through the glass, Jose’s smile was instantly wiped.

”Ssss....!” Only then did Davis finally hug himself tightly and begin shivering, even more severely. He only felt better after sweating a little.

He stood at the chamber door, giving Jose a mischievous smile... turns out he was just pretending earlier.

When Jose came out, he wore a grim smile, squatting in place for a long time before saying, ”I saw my granny.”

”Haha...!” Remembering Jose’s expression, everyone laughed together.

Then, Harry and Safina went in to experience it as well, but their bodies weren’t as strong as the other three, so they used a temperature of 150 degrees.

This didn’t stop them from frantically waving their hands when coming out, swearing they’d never go in again.

Ma’el was the last to enter. He had mentally prepared for it, but as the cold air rushed out, his mind blanked, as if all his energy was consumed by feeling the cold in his flesh.

Countless chills seemed to penetrate his skin, stab into his muscles, and penetrate his bone marrow, causing an unbearable sensation of pain and itchiness.

He rolled his eyes upward abruptly, attempting to enter a temporary state of unconsciousness, eager to quickly pass this time.

However, when he completed the therapy and returned to the real world past the chamber, he felt an unprecedented sense of relaxation in his body.

”Made the right buy.”

After recovering, he patted Harry’s shoulder, knowing that his injury chances were yet again reduced.

On October 15th, Ma’el finished his morning training and went home to rest. The next game was coming, so the afternoon was reserved for relaxation.
