From Arsenal to the Ball God

Before leaving, he was a bit anxious, worried there wouldn’t be any cars available… After all, he was going to meet a beautiful lady tomorrow, and who wouldn’t want to pull up coolly in front of her in a Ferrari?

But when he saw the 4S shop filled with the latest Ferrari F430 models, his worries vanished instantly.

New car, infrared, convertible, top configuration!

As soon as he mentioned these requirements, he was promptly led by an enthusiastic salesperson to a Ferrari covered in a black veil, the highest configured car available there.

The moment the veil was lifted, a two-seater convertible Ferrari appeared in front of him, shining brightly in the light, looking extremely sleek and beautiful.

”This is it!”

Ma’el’s eyes were glued, drooling with desire, he excitedly went to the sales office, swiped his card and paid, totaling £235,000 including insurance.

That’s roughly eight weeks’ post-tax salary for him, a manageable expense.

”Vroom vroom vroom...!” Sitting in the driver’s seat, as Ma’el revved the engine, the 4.3-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine roared rapidly, causing both his seat and himself to tremble slightly.

”So cool.” Harry sat beside him, buckled his seatbelt and looked excited as well.

Ma’el smiled all the way as he drove out of the 4S shop and onto the streets of central London, attracting many people’s attention.

He floored the accelerator, enjoying the thrill of the convertible, reveling in the roar of the engine, and played a punk song from the 90s, feeling his emotions being lifted altogether.

”Oh...!”

”Haha...!”

He and Harry screamed and laughed joyfully all the way home, having a great time.

Parking the car underground next to a small park, Ma’el finally felt complete, everything seemed just right to him.

”Let’s take a photo.”

He handed his phone to Harry standing in front of him, smiling as he stood before the underground garage.

”Click!” Harry took several photos of him, capturing this moment, marking the real start of Ma’el’s ”star” life in London.

......

The next afternoon, Ma’el drove his beloved Ferrari to the airport, where he spotted Isabella who had been waiting for her.

She wore a white low-cut top, black slim-fit pants, with a tawny LV handbag hanging over her right shoulder, matching somewhat her hair color, her bright presence standing out among the crowd.

”Hi.”

Isabella walked over, eyes shining slightly as she opened the car door on the left side, ”You got your driver’s license?”

”Yeah.”

Ma’el watched her settle in, then he hit the accelerator towards the terminal below, driving towards central London, and couldn’t help but praise, ”You look even more beautiful.”

”Haha...” Isabella chuckled lightly, turned and said, ”If I hadn’t brought a red envelope, I don’t think I’d get such a compliment, right?”

”No way.” Ma’el shook his head, Isabella was indeed very beautiful, especially the charming temperament she possessed, which was the most attractive among the women he had met.

”The co-branded clothes sold over forty thousand pieces.”

Isabella placed the handbag before her, the wind blowing from above making her golden hair flutter everywhere, ”It’s a fantastic sales result, and people continue to buy them, I’m preparing to launch new styles again.”

”I’ve been away from Sheffield for a long time.” Ma’el was not too aware of this, so he asked, ”Do they really support and obsess over me for such a long period?”

”Absolutely.”

Isabella responded very firmly, recalling the frenzy of the championship day, ”This generation of Sheffield United fans will not forget you, the fervor might only visibly decrease two or three years later.”

Ma’el raised an eyebrow, he looked ahead, feeling the thrill of the fancy car and beautiful woman, staying silent for a while.

Isabella quickly told him the address of a restaurant, and he drove there, where twenty minutes later, they were sitting inside.

”As promised.”

Isabella took out an exquisite gift box from her bag and handed it to Ma’el, ”Your birthday is coming soon, treat this as an early birthday gift. Of course, you’ll get another one then.”

”Birthday?” Ma’el took the box and raised his head, ”How do you know my birthday?”

Isabella showed hardly any signs of being flustered and smiled, ”When signing endorsements then, you filled in the information, remember?”

”Is that so...” Ma’el really forgot, he didn’t delve into this matter further, instead, he carefully examined the gift box.

Thinking it might not be appropriate to open it in front of her, he put the gift box away to check it out later at home.

”You have to keep up in London.”

Isabella looked at Ma’el, her eyes filled with longing, ”I really hope you can become an All England superstar this year, if you make it, my brand makes it too, wouldn’t that be wonderful.”

”Haha...” Ma’el didn’t respond directly to this, instead, he was curious, ”Actually, I’ve always wanted to ask, did you establish this brand purely out of interest?”

”No.”

Isabella lowered her eyelids, then lifted them as her thin lips slightly moved, ”I want to buy a football club, a club of my own.”

Ma’el leaned back, a bit amazed by her, then as he regained composure, he encouraged her, ”Go for it, I believe you absolutely have a chance, and when you do, be sure to sign me, give me a super high salary.”

”Haha...” They both smiled together, soon after the dishes arrived, and they ate together, chatting about things in life along the way.
