From Arsenal to the Ball God

”I’m going too!”

Gilbert immediately grabbed a stick, chased after Ma’el towards Fabregas.

Fabregas had already heard the commotion. As he turned around in reaction, he saw Ma’el rapidly approaching with a stick. His eyes showed shock and fear, ”What do you want to do?!”

The feeling of carefree departure instantly vanished. As he realized the situation was unfavorable, he sprinted towards the base gate, turning back every few steps.

Seeing Ma’el getting closer, he was filled with fear from head to toe, desperately stating, ”Don’t act rashly!”

Don’t act rashly?

Maybe ask yourself just a moment ago..... Ma’el sped up with two swift steps forward, aimed at Fabregas’s head, and swung his right hand backwards.

Swing arm!

Swing forward!

Swift strike!

Smash!

”Clap!” A crisp sound echoed throughout the entire training ground. Everyone fell silent, staring blankly at Ma’el as he struck Fabregas’s head with a stick, the latter falling to the ground.

The Spanish prodigy midfielder, worth tens of millions..... The world-renowned star, collapsed on the ground so vulnerably.

”Stop!”

Fabregas curled up on the ground, protecting his head. His survival instinct made him drop his dignity, constantly waving his hands, ”Stop! I give up! Put the stick down first!”

His response was Ma’el’s immediate second strike and a stick swung by the arriving Gilbert.

”Clap! Clap! Clap....!!”

One blow after another fell on Fabregas’s body, the scene rapidly spiraling out of control, stirring some regret within him.

Who would have thought that two young kids would actually dare to lay hands on him?

Not until the teammates arrived to pull Ma’el and Gilbert away did Fabregas, with a bruised nose and swollen face, stand up, silent and dazed.

He saw Wenger’s gaze shift over, saw the hatred in Ma’el and Gilbert’s eyes, and the complexity in the teammates’ eyes when they looked at him.

On this day, both he and Wenger’s reputations were tarnished. With two newly joined young players, there was no semblance of player status dignity left between them.

He had to leave.

”Don’t pull me!”

”Calm down! Calm down!”

”Someone check on Fabregas.”

Amidst the chaos, Fabregas pointed at the two with a trembling arm, leaving one last sentence before departing, ”Alright.... you’ve got guts! I’m leaving, tonight!”

”I want to see what honors you can achieve here, what kind of career you can finish!”

”Wait until I win the Champions League in Barcelona, I’ll break the medal in half and smack it onto your faces!”

Fabregas went mad. He was taken to the hospital, cursing non-stop before leaving.

Everyone knew that even though he was a public figure, such a disgraceful incident would be suppressed as much as possible.

But this matter couldn’t just end like that. The road of confrontation ahead was long!

Arsenal subsequently held a meeting, with everyone except Ma’el and Gilbert, instructing them not to speak about the incident on the training field.

But.... this kind of thing could never be covered up; too many people saw it.

”Ma’el and Fabregas in a brawl, Fabregas left London injured that night! Flew to Barcelona!” — London Evening Paper

That very evening, the Sun, known for capturing gossip news, reported this, prompting a slew of media to follow suit, spreading this news throughout the world football scene.

As one of the best midfielders in contemporary football, Fabregas, often rumored for transfers, received immense attention worldwide.

He was hit with a stick?

And by two young players?

This indeed counted as explosive news, celebrity gossip that fans tend to enjoy.

Soon, fans discussed this matter in various forums, spreading it further, bringing it to more people’s attention.

”Two young players? How dare they hit the captain?”

”Your news is outdated. Fabregas already has torn relationships with Arsenal; the new captain will be Van Persie.”

”Even if he’s not the captain, Fabregas is a player who contributed to Spain winning the European Cup and World Cup. His career is dazzling, how could anyone dare to lay hands on him?”

”So ungrateful.”

”Ma’el, wasn’t he the one who shattered several records in the Championship League not long ago.... should have just finished his loan period, that’s too impulsive.”

”How will he get by at Arsenal in the future?”

”Why worry about that? He doesn’t need to care about your feelings; as long as Arsenal fans don’t hate him, it’s fine.”

”True..... Fabregas seems to have triggered the wrath among Arsenal fans. Once this blows over, Arsenal fans might even prefer Ma’el and Gilbert, since they helped vent their anger.”

Someone chatted for a while in other forums and then shifted to the Arsenal fan forums to see the opinions of Arsenal fans on this matter.

”That bastard, deserves a beating!”

”Serves him right!”

”Even though hitting people is wrong.... we don’t know exactly what happened at that moment, if Fabregas wanted to stir up trouble before leaving, I can only say, the two young men did a great job!”

”Could have had a good position as the captain within the team. The club and Wenger spent so much effort cultivating him, but he insisted on stirring up transfer rumors. Now see, beaten by young players, no one helped him speak up.”
