From Arsenal to the Ball God

Chapter 153: Chapter 49: Return to Korney! Officially Reporting to the First Team! Wenger’s Wild Vision! New Position? (3)

That field has produced countless legendary stars, witnessed numerous inspirational stories, and created many classic moments.

Tony Adams, Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Vieira, Yongbei Li, and other club legends have all left their footprints on this pitch.

Even today, it boasts some of the best players in European football.

And today, they are going to meet these players and become teammates!

”Van Persie.”

Gilbert spotted the figure of his idol from afar and started to grin foolishly. He then turned his head full of admiration towards the other stars.

Arshavin... Walcott... Ramsey... Nasri... Alexander Song, most of whom he had been seeing weekly on television long ago.

Shifting his gaze again, he saw Diaby, Wilshere, Koscielny, Fabregas...?

Wait, Fabregas?

”Wasn’t he refusing to train?” Gilbert turned to ask Ma’el, looking puzzled.

”I have no idea what’s going on either.”

Ma’el shook his head, not too concerned, still immersed in the excitement, thinking about joining a prestigious team. His breathing became a bit rapid.

A new journey is about to begin, and he is about to officially become a part of Arsenal.

”Clap, clap, clap...!” Applause sounded, with Arsenal first-team members surrounding and clapping for the two, some smiling, some with neutral expressions, as they had experienced such moments many times before.

”Ma’el, Gilbert.”

Wenger brought the two in front of the players. He saw Fabregas but didn’t want to spoil the mood on this supposed joyous day, pretending he didn’t see him.

Hope you don’t cause any trouble... Wenger exhaled a breath of anger through his nose and adjusted his expression back to a smile: ”I don’t think I need to introduce them further.”

The players didn’t speak. As prominent figures in European football, they had a bit of pride and wouldn’t initiate conversation without breaking the ice first.

This was a common scenario, and the assistant coach quickly set up an ice-breaking game, lining up the veteran players in two rows with a passage in between, allowing the newcomers to run through.

During the process, veteran players could lightly tap the slower newcomers, of course, not too hard, just for fun.

When all the Arsenal players were lined up, smiling as they waited for the two newcomers to pass, Fabregas walked over to the side of the training field and sat on some steps, showing no interest in participating.

This was for the best...

Gilbert went first, looking at one familiar face after another, laughing as he rushed through.

”Bang! Clap! Bang!”

A series of slaps and punches landed on his back and arms, not too hard. It was then that laughter erupted on the training field, ”Haha...!”

When it was Ma’el’s turn, he wanted to sprint through at top speed, but the space they left was too small for that, so he ended up ducking down and running as fast as he could.

He got hit a few times as well, but not enough to feel anything; the veteran players were quite gentle.

”Wilshere.”

Wilshere, known as a talented player in the team, was the first to greet him, only just over a year older than them.

Ma’el high-fived him and then saw Alexander Song and others come over to introduce themselves, establishing initial acquaintance.

When Van Persie approached, the thought of him possibly being a future partner crossed Ma’el’s mind. He observed him carefully; the Dutch God Striker indeed stood out among the Arsenal players with his handsome appearance.

”Van Persie.”

Van Persie wore a slight smile, neither warm nor cold: ”Looking forward to working together.”

He just uttered a usual polite phrase, which sparked Ma’el’s imagination. He extended his hand for a high-five and replied: ”Looking forward to working together.”
