Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Just when Justin Kingston was too lazy to listen and was about to hang up the phone, Mia Lane took the phone from his hand, ”Hello, which hospital are you at?”

Justin Kingston looked at his wife in surprise but did not interrupt her.

”Okay, we got it.” Mia Lane ended the call and looked up at him, ”Honey, Monica Usher brought this upon herself, but the child is innocent.”

”You...” Justin Kingston’s tense face eased a bit, and he withdrew his gaze, not wanting to show displeasure to his wife.

Mia Lane, being a mother herself, understood the feelings a mother has for her child, so she couldn’t bear it.

”I don’t want to have anything to do with that woman at all!” Justin Kingston said expressionlessly, then turned his back with his hands on his hips.

”I know.” Mia Lane came beside him, looked up at him, ”But the child is indeed innocent. If this child could choose, they wouldn’t choose Monica Usher as their mother either.”

Justin Kingston didn’t want to understand any reasoning; he was extremely disgusted with Monica Usher!

”I absolutely don’t want to see her.” A cold smile appeared at the corner of Justin Kingston’s lips, ”So whether her child is dead or alive, or what kind of person they will become in the future, has nothing to do with me at all.”

”...” Mia Lane looked at him and remained silent.

He rejected the child, and she didn’t want to force him.

So she said nothing more, ”I understand; it’s getting late, let’s go to bed early.”

Mia Lane didn’t want her kindness to overflow, nor did she want any entanglement with Monica Usher, or even see her.

But the child is innocent.

Who can choose their own birth?

Mia Lane simply felt sorry for this child, just born and already in the welfare home, who knows how much suffering they have to endure.

Having put down the phone, Justin Kingston lay down holding Mia, kissing her cheek, ”Goodnight, honey.” His tone softened a lot.

”Goodnight.”

She lay on her side while he held her from behind, just like Trevor held Janelle.

The moon set and the sun rose, and New Year’s Day arrived as promised.

The children got up especially early today, ”Happy New Year, Mrs. Zhou, Butler Shelby!” They appeared at the corner of the stairs.

”Happy New Year, young master, young mistress!”

”Happy New Year!”

This morning, everyone they met would take the initiative to say Happy New Year to each other, faces glowing with happiness, and the festive atmosphere was strong.

Everywhere there were laughter and joy, marking a beautiful new day and a beautiful new year.

Upstairs, in a certain bedroom.

Kristina Kingston had just put on new clothes, with only one earring on, and the phone on the dressing table rang. She picked it up and saw it was an unknown number.

It was really strange, few people knew her number, and she seldom received strange calls in a year. Who could it be?

She answered, ”Hello? Who is this?”

”Auntie.” Monica Usher, having just given birth, her voice was still weak, and at the moment the call was connected, her throat choked, ”Happy New Year.”

”You are...?” Kristina Kingston didn’t recognize her voice at all.

On the other end of the phone, Monica Usher felt a pang of sadness in her heart, ”I am Monica Usher.”

Hearing this name, Kristina Kingston was startled and truly surprised; receiving her New Year greetings so early in the morning didn’t bring her any joy.

Kristina Kingston’s tone was indifferent, she asked, ”Do you need anything from me?”

Feeling the estrangement and coldness, Monica Usher forced herself to hold back the sound of her heart being torn apart.

She opened her mouth again, ”Auntie, I’m in the hospital, having just given birth. I know what awaits me is jail time, but this child is innocent. Can you please help me?”

Not waiting for her to reply, Monica Usher cried as she said, ”When I get out of prison, I’ll work myself to death to repay you. The child is just born and already without a mother’s care; I really don’t feel at ease leaving her in a welfare home.”

Early in the morning, Kristina Kingston’s good mood was swept away by her.
