Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

For a couple of seconds, Ian Shelby felt a particularly strong aversion, as if his beautiful flower was being eyed by a pile of dung.

But Jocelyn quickly withdrew her gaze and calmly looked at Taylor.

She politely said to him, ”I have no interest in horseback riding, nor do I have the time.” After saying this, she gave him a polite smile and continued her steps towards the stairs.

”Then what are you interested in?!” Taylor called after her retreating figure, somewhat persistent, and everyone present could see that the Prince was interested in the female translator.

With her brow slightly furrowed, Jocelyn replied without turning back, ”I have no interest in anything! I love studying!”

Although Ian Shelby’s face showed no expression, his gaze on Prince Taylor’s back seemed to carry icy spikes.

A brief awkwardness filled the palace.

Everyone understood that this female translator had not taken a liking to Prince Taylor.

But would her feelings change if Prince Louis pursued her?

After all, Prince Louis is the Crown Prince, with the throne behind him.

After Jocelyn left, the King pulled his two sons to sit down, leaned back lightly in his chair, and looked at Louis on the left, then at Taylor on the right.

The King asked, ”How are your romantic lives? Come, report to your father.”

Taylor retracted his gaze from the staircase corner, his face soft with a smile.

Bertie immediately saw through his thoughts, ”Taylor, do you like Jocelyn?”

Taylor looked at his father, momentarily unsure how to respond, firstly, because Louis was there, and secondly, because Jocelyn was not currently single.

His affection was in vain as well.

”Father, I just like her type of girl.” Taylor did not hide, ”But please rest assured, Father, I will prioritize my studies.”

The King was always most concerned about his studies.

”Hmm.” The King nodded in satisfaction; Taylor had matured a lot recently.

Then he turned his gaze to Ian Shelby, ”Louis, what about you? Do you have a girlfriend?”

Ian shook his head, ”No.”

He couldn’t say if he did, as people with ulterior motives would dig, and eventually, his relationship status would be uncovered; having a girlfriend was a weakness.

The King smiled satisfactorily, ”That’s wonderful.” There seemed to be another layer of meaning in his smile.

Wonderful?

Ian looked at him in bewilderment, only to hear his father say, ”General’s daughter Winnie Vance is still single, and she’s about your age. She’s been clever and charming since she was small, and I plan to introduce you two.”

Ian directly refused, ”Father, until your health recovers, I have no intention of considering romantic matters, please dismiss this idea, I have no wish to meet her.”

This response could be described as textbook.

Taylor suddenly realized his earlier answer was less than stellar.

Luckily, their mother didn’t hear it, or she would have said he was not as good as Louis.

”My illness doesn’t affect you making friends.” The King, knowing his days were numbered, hoped to see his son wed, fulfilling a father’s wish.

Additionally, with the General’s support, his power would also increase.

After a while, Taylor received a call and bid farewell to his father, rising to leave.

The King gazed out the window and took the opportunity to say to Ian Shelby, ”Louis, the weather is nice today, accompany me for a walk by the lake?”

”Alright.” Ian helped him up; this was the opportunity he was waiting for, to tell his father about Jocelyn Morgan’s identity.

And have his father assist her in the investigation.

As the father and son rose to leave, Eden and Arthur instinctively followed alongside.

The King stopped, looking at the two, ”No need to follow, go on with your work, I’m quite well, no need to worry.”

”Yes, Your Majesty.”

Arthur hurriedly brought over a shawl, thoughtfully draping it over the King’s shoulders, ”Be careful not to catch cold.”
