Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1196: Chapter 1196: Left a Farewell Letter, Seeking Death

Finn Morgan furrowed his brow slightly; he too disliked his parents using this approach.

But he could understand that his father was genuinely thinking about Jocelyn’s future and was doing it for her benefit.

However, it was evident that Jocelyn Morgan felt uncomfortable during this dinner.

As a novelist, her understanding of emotions was different from that of ordinary people; she valued a feeling, a moment of heartbeat, and wouldn’t weigh who was good or bad.

Thus, Finn Morgan turned and asked her, ”Jocelyn, who do you like?”

Finally, someone was considering her feelings, which gave her a slight sense of relief.

Jocelyn Morgan turned her gaze and glanced at her brother and sister-in-law; they were both watching her, as if seriously waiting for an answer.

”Trevor is quite nice,” she voiced her current thoughts, ”but I haven’t considered dating him. Regarding Ian Shelby, I suppose I like him a little bit; after all, he has helped me a few times, and there were moments when I felt he was quite responsible.”

But thinking about the help, she couldn’t help but think of Trevor again.

During their time in Aethelburg, Trevor was quite daring, pulling her away right under the police’s nose, with the thrilling rush of jumping into the car.

That experience was unique indeed.

Hailey Hale observed her, feeling that she might find it difficult to make a decision.

”Jocelyn, you like Trevor and also have feelings for Ian, don’t you?” she said, ”After all, they are both so outstanding, and kind to you as well.”

Jocelyn Morgan didn’t respond immediately, perhaps she did like Ian Shelby.

But Trevor... she didn’t dislike him, and promised to give it serious thought.

Hailey Hale continued, ”Here’s a suggestion for you.”

”What suggestion?”

Hailey earnestly told her, ”Go travel to a place with beautiful surroundings, immerse yourself in the scenery, then take a picture of the landscape. Whoever you first want to share it with is the person you truly like in your heart.”

”...” Jocelyn Morgan, being a novelist, had never heard of such a method.

Could this be accurate?

Her idea was quickly acknowledged by the Morgan family elders.

Especially Finn Morgan, who thought it was reasonable, ”I think that sounds good. Anyway, you can work with your laptop around, and taking a break would be nice.”

Jocelyn Morgan heard this but didn’t give it much thought.

The conversation about her feelings slowly concluded as Jasmine had said all she needed to.

Hailey Hale’s lower belly was slightly protruding, already showing signs of pregnancy.

”Hailey, you should drink more broth to replenish the amniotic fluid.” With that, Jasmine rose and ladled a bowl of soup for her.

Hailey reached out to take the soup bowl, ”Thank you, Mom.”

Finn Morgan affectionately stroked his wife’s hair, speaking to his parents, ”Her dietary habits have been good lately, gaining weight every day, which is commendable.”

”She’ll be so chubby once the baby is born,” Hailey joked, but wasn’t worried about her figure and prioritized the baby’s health.

”It’s alright, I won’t mind,” Finn Morgan loved her more and more.

”...”

As the sun set and night fell, a bright moon rose in the sky.

Light filled the restaurant, stirring with laughter and joy.

It truly was a picture of harmony and happiness.

That night, Jocelyn Morgan had some trouble sleeping, tossing and turning alone in bed.

Images of Trevor’s look when he glanced at her, that unwillingness, that feeling of setback flashed through her mind, along with the things he said to her.

She felt weighed down, unable to carry the burden of his feelings.

The next morning.

Jocelyn Morgan packed a small suitcase, putting her laptop inside.

She planned to go out for a breather but just as she was about to leave, her phone rang.

Looking at the caller ID with confusion, she picked up, ”Hello, Aunt.”

”Jocelyn, Cecilia is missing! She left a suicide note! Can you reach her at all?!” Cecilia Dunn’s mother was anxious, ”She wants to end her life! She doesn’t want to live anymore! Sob...”

Jocelyn Morgan’s heart sank heavily!
