Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1154: Chapter 1154: Tell Me the Truth

David Dalton withdrew his gaze and looked at Ian Shelby, noticing that he was also looking at him.

At this moment, Ian Shelby spoke gently, ”President Dalton, please come to the office with me.” After speaking, he started walking outside.

David Dalton looked at his daughter again. Mia Lane appeared calm and said, ”Dad, Justin Kingston is investigating secretly. He won’t let any bad person go, and no one will dare to harm your family anymore.”

David Dalton secretly sighed and then turned his gaze to his youngest son. The father and son looked at each other, and his feelings were incredibly heavy.

How innocent children are, why should they be involved in disputes?

”I’m leaving now,” he said, turning and following Ian Shelby’s steps.

Stella left home at a young age and reunited only twenty years later.

Trevor was frail and sickly since childhood, always receiving treatment abroad.

And Ethan is like this...

Not one of the three children is safe and sound. As a father, David Dalton often blames himself, feeling that he hasn’t fulfilled his responsibilities as a father.

But in fact, these are not caused by him; he is a good father who deeply loves his children.

He was wholeheartedly good even to Sean Dalton, investing a lot of money in her from childhood, providing her with the best educational resources, letting her live a life envied by others like a little princess.

All of this was like passing clouds.

Entering the office with Ian Shelby, David Dalton retracted his thoughts. Ian Shelby specially closed the door and locked it, stopping Vera Ford outside.

Because she heard the sound of the office door being locked.

President Dalton also went in; they probably have very important things to discuss, right? Vera Ford turned away holding some patient files.

Inside the office.

Ian Shelby took out a document and handed it to him, ”President Dalton, have a look first.”

David Dalton reached out to receive it but didn’t hurry to look, ”Tell me the truth. I won’t read the documents!” As a father, he was eager to know the truth.

Ian Shelby also knew that this matter couldn’t be hidden from him and had discussed it with Mia Lane.

So he revealed the truth, ”Trevor was harmed by someone.”

”...” David Dalton’s heart trembled fiercely, anger pouring in like a tide.

”President Dalton, but Trevor has completely recovered now and has no aftereffects. You need not worry anymore,” Ian Shelby comforted him, ”Ethan has also grown five centimeters taller here, and he’s no longer drooling.”

”I saw that...” Listening to this, David Dalton felt heartache, unable to breathe, ”Thank you, Dr. Shelby.”

As a father, he was certainly saddened.

Ian Shelby could understand, ”It’s not hard; our responsibility is to contribute to humanity’s health.”

”Does CEO Kingston know about Trevor being harmed?”

”He probably knows,” Ian Shelby replied, ”I’m not very sure, but Mia Lane knows.”

David Dalton nodded, feeling slightly at ease. With Justin Kingston involved, it is likely to be a sure thing to find out the culprits behind it quickly.

When he left Ian Shelby’s office, he encountered Mia Lane in the hallway.

”Stella...”

”Dad, you don’t have to be sad, isn’t your brother doing well now?” Mia Lane comforted him, ”The bad guys will certainly get what they deserve; it’s just a matter of time.”

”All these years, your brother has suffered abroad... injections, medication, reported to the King of the Underworld several times...” David Dalton is a sentimental person, recalling the past, his eyes couldn’t help but grow moist.

Mia Lane took his arm, giving him a silent strength, ”There are gains and losses; this is probably life. If I had always grown up with the Dalton family, perhaps I wouldn’t have married Justin Kingston, and you wouldn’t have such an excellent son-in-law.”

”Yes.” David Dalton instantly realized and breathed a sigh of relief.

”So, fate has its meaning, doesn’t it?” Mia Lane glanced at her father. She has always believed in this saying.
