Chapter 1161: Chapter 1161: Ian Shelby Arranges Surgery for Her

Jasmine was clutching her stomach, doubling over in pain in front of the sofa, curled up on the carpet.

The phone had fallen two meters away, and she was grimacing in pain, ”Jocelyn...” She struggled to speak.

”Aunt, what’s wrong?!” Jocelyn Morgan exclaimed, helping her up, ”Is your stomach acting up again?! Quick! Let me take you to the hospital!!”

Jasmine clutched her chest tightly, her face pale, lips quivering uncontrollably, she was in so much pain she could hardly breathe!

Jocelyn crouched down, pulling Jasmine’s hands and hoisting her onto her own shoulders.

”Get up!” Jocelyn gritted her teeth hard, using all her might to lift Jasmine up, and then bent over, taking small steps towards the door!

So heavy!

Her legs quickly grew sore and numb! She gritted her teeth even tighter!

It was difficult going downstairs, her center of gravity unstable, she could easily tumble down.

Jocelyn grabbed the two hands resting on her chest tightly with one hand and held onto the railing with the other, ”Aunt, hang in there!”

She walked down step by step!

Beads of sweat quickly appeared on her forehead, still panting heavily as she comforted Jasmine, ”It’s okay, Aunt, don’t be afraid, I have a super amazing doctor friend, I’ll call him once we get in the car!”

”Mm-hmm.”

The piercing pain was causing Jasmine’s consciousness to waver, stomach pain was truly terrible.

Jasmine hadn’t been in pain for long, but the pain was too severe, her consciousness began to blur, ”Jocelyn...” Her throat tightened painfully, she couldn’t say a word, ”Jocelyn...”

”Don’t speak, we’ll be at the hospital soon!” Jocelyn tried to comfort her as she heaved Jasmine into the backseat, sweating profusely.

She quickly returned to the driver’s seat, started the car, and pulled out her phone...

At Providence Hospital, everything was orderly.

”Dean Shelby, are you done yet?” A male doctor approached, ”The surgery is about to start, the anesthesiologist is ready.”

”You go ahead to the operating room, I’ll join you soon.” Ian Shelby began removing his white coat as he spoke.

”Alright.” The male doctor quickly left.

At that moment, Ian Shelby’s phone rang, he took it out to see it was Jocelyn calling, Ian was a bit surprised.

He quickly answered, ”Hello.”

”Dr. Shelby! My aunt’s stomach pain is really bad! Please save her!” Jocelyn cried out urgently.

At the same time, Ian heard the sound of car horns!

”Are you driving?” His heart seized inexplicably and he listened intently.

”Yes, I’m on the way to your hospital, maybe... maybe five minutes away.” Jocelyn held the steering wheel with one hand and the phone with the other, feeling unprecedented panic.

Ian told her, ”I’ll be waiting for you downstairs at the hospital, drive slowly, don’t rush, safety first.”

”Okay.”

As he hung up, another male doctor came over, ”Dean Shelby, the surgery is about to start, why aren’t you there yet?”

”Get Dr. Ford to go in, I have something urgent.” Ian began preparing, ”Dr. Ford knows the patient’s situation well too, just go find her and say it’s my request.”

”Alright!”

The male doctor hurriedly ran off, racing against time!

Ian quickly put on his white coat again, and with a few medical staff, he took a stretcher and headed down the elevator, appearing calm and composed.

Soon, a car sped into view, entering Ian’s line of sight.

He watched as the driver’s side door opened and saw Jocelyn get out of the car, he told the medical staff, ”It’s that car.” Then quickly stepped forward.

They swiftly pushed the stretcher next to the car!

Jocelyn also saw Ian, feeling a sense of hope wash over her!

She quickly opened the backseat door, ”Aunt, we’re at the hospital.”

Ian gently took her arm, pulling her aside, then bent over and carefully placed the pain-stricken Jasmine on the stretcher before swiftly lifting her onto it.
