Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1151: Chapter 1151: A Decisive Rejection

Upon hearing this, Trevor’s fingers hesitated slightly as he spun the teacup, looked up to meet her gaze, and took a moment before answering, ”Yes.”

He gave a very certain answer.

His eyes were deep and gentle, as if trying to peer into the depths of the girl’s soul across the sofa.

Jocelyn Morgan was quite nosy; she leaned forward, curiously and quietly asking, ”So have you confessed to her? Does she know?”

Trevor felt a bit uncomfortable, ”No.” He didn’t like talking about personal matters.

”Well, let me tell you, if you like someone, you definitely have to confess!” Jocelyn Morgan, treating him as a friend, quickly shared her opinion, ”I’ve been writing romance novels for many years, so I’m very, very experienced!”

Trevor pressed his thin lips into a straight line, furrowing his thick eyebrows, just when one chatterbox left, here came another?

Jocelyn Morgan said to him, ”Fate really happens in a moment. If you’re a step late, she might end up belonging to someone else!”

Trevor looked at her seriously and then chuckled, ”Novels and reality are different, kid, you’re too young.”

”How are they different?” Jocelyn retorted, ”Reality is even more melodramatic than novels!”

Trevor poured her a cup of tea and placed it gently before her, his voice deep, magnetic, and warm, ”In reality, if you fall for someone and confess without knowing their feelings, it could possibly mean you can’t even remain friends. Love has to be mutual; otherwise, it leads to silent suffering.”

”I think your personality is really charming; maybe you’ll succeed if you confess?” Jocelyn Morgan encouraged him, ”Can’t you have a bit of confidence in yourself?”

”You’re very noisy.” Trevor’s voice was low.

”Hey, the girl you’re interested in must be quite outstanding as well! And outstanding people naturally attract attention, so you’ll have rivals. You should act early!”

Trevor was a steady person; if something wasn’t certain, he wouldn’t take risks.

Besides, he was a firm believer in fate.

Meeting someone three times in one day, perhaps it was Cupid pulling the strings.

”Hey, are you even listening to me?” Jocelyn glanced at him.

Trevor looked up, his eyebrows showing a patience he didn’t have when looking at Jenny Hawthorne, and he didn’t know what to say.

Soon, the sound of high heels approached.

The two sitting on the sofa turned their eyes, and Jenny Hawthorne came swaying with a smile, passing in front of Jocelyn Morgan and sitting down where she was before.

”Trevor, my dad likes you a lot, and I don’t dislike you either. Shall we try dating?” She got straight to the point with her teacup in hand, ”You know my background, right? My dad is the Minister of Justice.”

”Sorry,” Trevor replied just as directly, calmly explaining, ”I don’t have any feelings for you and I’m not interested. You don’t need to waste your time on me.”

Jocelyn Morgan’s eyes widened, so direct??

Jenny Hawthorne’s body stiffened; facing another girl, she felt so embarrassed!

Trevor made himself very clear, set down his teacup, glanced at them, and said, ”Excuse me,” then stood up and left.

The two girls watched his tall back as he went upstairs; the air in the living room seemed to grow slightly tense.

”Did you say something to him earlier?” Jenny Hawthorne stood up, unhappily looking down at Jocelyn Morgan.

Jocelyn Morgan was startled, ”Me?”

”Yeah, he patiently listened to my introduction for half an hour, and didn’t seem impatient at all! It seemed like he was interested in me.” Jenny Hawthorne felt quite sure of herself, unable to comprehend, ”I just went to the restroom; how did things turn out like this?”

Jocelyn Morgan quickly explained, ”I didn’t do anything! I’m innocent. I’m not even that familiar with him. I didn’t know he had such a bad temper. You can’t blame this on me!”
