Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1149: Chapter 1149: Super Bright Third Wheel

”You guys really know each other, huh?” Thomas Walton said, surprised and delighted, ”That’s great. When Jenny Hawthorne arrives, it won’t be awkward at all. You young folks have plenty to talk about.”

Who is Jenny Hawthorne?

Jocelyn Morgan was completely puzzled but didn’t ask anything.

”Teacher Walton, we...” Jocelyn Morgan recalled the remarkable events from a few hours ago and chuckled, ”We actually just met, not even 24 hours ago.”

”Oh?” Thomas Walton looked at the two of them with curiosity.

Trevor started walking toward them, his expression gentle, ”Well, I reckon that counts as knowing each other. I helped you quite a bit already.”

”Right.” Jocelyn Morgan scratched her head, ”I still owe you a meal.”

Then Thomas Walton introduced Trevor, ”Trevor, this is Director Lowe, and these are his friends, well-known writers from our homeland.”

Trevor shook hands with everyone, ”Welcome, fellow companions, to the castle.”

”You’re too kind, your son is truly handsome.”

When Trevor extended his hand to Jocelyn Morgan, she lightly tapped the back of his hand with hers and then patted his palm, ”Thank you!”

Trevor felt it fit her character perfectly.

Then Thomas Walton led everyone upstairs to see his study and art studio, which contained many recent calligraphy works.

For the writers, this was a rare treat for their eyes.

Jocelyn Morgan, as part of the entourage, naturally went along.

Trevor stayed behind, as Jenny Hawthorne was coming soon, and it was only polite for him to wait here.

About half an hour later, Jocelyn Morgan came down with her mind full of amazement. Teacher Walton was indeed very disciplined; there was even a schedule hanging in the study, up and about at six in the morning!

Not only did he write excellent novels, but his calligraphy and art were also particularly impressive, almost to the point of mastery.

The entire castle felt immaculate, with an exceptional sense of serenity. Even the carpet was as clean as new and made no sound at all.

”Recently, I’ve been learning to make my own wine,” Thomas Walton said cheerfully on the stairs to his friends, ”Would you like to see my wine cellar? I’ll give each of you a bottle.”

”You’re a true all-rounder! Getting involved in a bit of everything, and so proficient.”

”Life is limited; you need to stir things up from time to time, otherwise, you’d end up feeling like a total waste.”

Back downstairs, Thomas Walton stopped and looked with benevolence at Jocelyn Morgan, ”Jocelyn, you young lady, don’t go to the cellar. Keep your friend company.”

Following his gaze, Jocelyn Morgan saw Trevor and a young woman sitting on the sofa, engaged in conversation.

Then Teacher Walton led Director Lowe and the others straight to the wine cellar.

Jocelyn Morgan paused for a moment, looking at their retreating backs before reluctantly walking toward Trevor.

”Trevor, my dad often talks about you, describes your appearance, and shows me your photos. Now that I’ve met you, I think you’re much more handsome than in the pictures. You don’t photograph well at all!”

Trevor served her the fifth cup of tea.

”Thanks!” Jenny Hawthorne leaned forward, took the cup with both hands, smiled, and drank it all in one go.

Saying so much, it’s no wonder she was thirsty.

Jocelyn Morgan approached slowly, feeling rather awkward, like a third wheel.

Her eyes fell upon the girl, and based on her years of writing novels, she judged they might be... on a date?

It was not until she stood in front of the coffee table that Jenny Hawthorne noticed her presence, turning her eyes toward her with displeasure, ”Who are you...?”

Jocelyn Morgan glanced at Trevor and then at the young woman, softly explaining, ”Teacher Walton asked me to come over.”

”Well, sit down then!” Jenny Hawthorne quickly changed to a smile, making room for her, ”Sit beside me!”

Jocelyn Morgan felt embarrassed and sat down next to Jenny Hawthorne, only to look up and once again find herself caught in Trevor’s deep gaze.
