Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1139: Chapter 1139: Chance Encounter on the Plane

Trevor sat in his seat, leaning back with his hands crossed in front of his chest and eyes closed, resting. The soft cabin lights highlighted the outlines of his tall frame, as if draping him in a gentle, luminous halo.

Wearing a handmade suit, he always appeared so elegant and gentlemanly.

Last night, he reviewed a large project proposal, offering ten most sincere suggestions, and didn’t get to bed until four in the morning.

Today, he spent the whole day at the company, and indeed felt a bit tired. Right now was a perfect time for a nap.

Jocelyn Morgan walked in, holding a cute pink suitcase, a tasseled bag slung on her wrist, wearing a fashionable patchwork dress and a beret.

In her other hand, she held her boarding pass, looking for her seat.

People were coming and going around her, all very polite, speaking softly, ”Excuse me, thank you.”

Jocelyn stopped in front of Trevor, double-checking the flight information.

Seeing his resting pose, she guessed he wasn’t really asleep, so she spoke up, ”Sir.”

The sweet female voice entered his ears, and Trevor opened his lightly closed eyes. Their gazes met and they were both taken aback by each other’s eyes.

It was a gaze that felt very comfortable.

”Sir, my seat is next to yours.” Jocelyn quickly recovered.

Trevor stood up, stepping aside without saying a word.

Jocelyn quickly stowed her luggage. Her suitcase was small and light, so she didn’t need any help.

Despite being a web novelist, after achieving financial independence, she often traveled worldwide. Flying was not a first-time experience.

Jocelyn sat down in her seat, deftly fastening her seatbelt.

Trevor also sat down beside her, fastened his seatbelt, leaned back against the seat, and closed his eyes again. He was truly exhausted, so tired.

The plane hadn’t taken off yet, the last few passengers just came in, and the crew was checking the cabin.

A ringtone sounded, Jocelyn took her phone from her bag, glanced at the caller ID, and answered, ”Hello.”

”It’s Ian Shelby,” a gentle male voice came through, ”Although you’ve been discharged, you still need to rest more, avoid walking too much, and it’s best not to travel far.”

Jeez!

Didn’t realize he’d guess so accurately?

Jocelyn continued the call, glancing out the window at the planes beginning to taxi in the distance. Could he be jinxing it?

”Fine, fine, I know.” she said.

Just as she finished speaking, the announcement came——

”Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard X Nation XX Airlines flight XXX, traveling from Riventhal to Aethelburg...”

”You’re on a plane?” Ian was surprised, ”Your leg just healed, where are you going?”

”I have some business, need to go to Aethelburg. Fine, fine, I’ll be careful,” Jocelyn said, ”Since I’ve been discharged, I’m no longer your patient. Thanks for your concern! You shouldn’t worry too much.”

After speaking, she hung up the phone without acknowledging his good intentions.

And Ian himself wondered what made him call, feeling somewhat uneasy. It was peculiar.

Soon, the announcement concluded, and the plane began taxiing up the runway, slowly ascending into the sky.

Jocelyn applied a face mask, then put on an eye mask, and also began to rest.

The plane was quiet for roughly ten minutes, no one was speaking, perhaps everyone was resting, most with their eyes closed.

Until a TikTok video started playing loudly, with a middle-aged woman’s voice, shouting angrily alongside a rhythm and music with an auntie vibe —

Soon, a middle-aged woman seated diagonally in front couldn’t help but burst into laughter —

”This is hilarious, an 80-year-old man cheating with a 60-year-old girl! If that age counts as a girl, then I’m still a baby!”

Obviously, she swiped to the next video, TikTok volume at maximum, she couldn’t resist adding her own commentary, making the once quiet cabin noisy!

Trevor kept his eyes closed, slightly furrowing his brow.

The sound continued...

It had already irritated some people, and they were casting disdainful glances at her.

Someone even couldn’t help but sigh softly, ”Such low manners.”
