Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1103: Chapter 1103: CEO Kingston Is in Trouble

She asked, ”If Finn Morgan was the one injured today, would you still ask this question?”

”Of course not.” Justin Kingston replied without hesitation, ”But they’re different, don’t you know?”

”What’s different? One is your special assistant, the other is dad’s special assistant, but they’re both men! Strong and vigorous men!”

Justin Kingston slammed on the brakes!

The car came to a steady stop by the roadside.

This move made Mia Lane’s chest tighten, and she turned her gaze in surprise.

Justin Kingston turned to meet his wife’s gaze and emphasized, ”Trevor likes you, can’t you feel it?” His eyes were deep and cold, unable to fully control his emotions.

”...” Mia Lane was also speechless, she shook her head, ”I didn’t feel it!”

”That’s because I warned him, he’s restraining himself!” Justin Kingston thought of the scene just now, and felt a surge of anger in his heart, ”He was looking at you all the time just now, your presence almost made him forget his pain.”

”You...” Mia Lane was somewhat overwhelmed.

Justin Kingston added, ”Finish this project quickly and come back, disappear from his sight completely!” Anyway, the thought of anyone fancying anyone dear to me, Justin Kingston, is unacceptable!

”You’re being completely unreasonable.” Mia Lane was a bit fed up, ”You need to calm down!”

After saying this, she attempted to open the door to get out but found the passenger door wouldn’t open at all.

Justin Kingston started the car again while tossing the jade pendant to her.

Mia Lane almost didn’t catch it, ”Hey!” She received the jade pendant and turned her gaze with displeasure towards him.

He looked straight ahead, his gaze deep.

Then a brief silence fell in the car.

Leaning against the seat back, watching the fleeting scenery outside the window, Mia Lane’s mood was terrible, feeling greatly repressed, worried about her father, worried about Trevor, and beside her sat this jealous man.

About five minutes passed.

Mia Lane tentatively turned to look at him and asked conciliatorily, ”How’s John Jennings?”

He proudly closed his mouth and refused to answer.

Childish!

Mia Lane stopped asking.

In this dull atmosphere, the Lamborghini drove back to Emerald Cove.

”Madam, quickly drink the chicken soup, it’s just right,” Auntie Zhou greeted with a smile, ”After donating blood, this is the best tonic.”

Mia Lane paused, glanced at Justin Kingston.

Justin Kingston walked upstairs without turning his head, seemingly unwilling to talk to her.

Until his silhouette disappeared at the stair corner, Auntie Zhou whispered to her, ”Mr. Kingston does care about you, when he texted me, I knew you were by his side, but he didn’t want to say it outright.”

”...” Mia Lane seemed to understand something.

Auntie Zhou handed over the chicken soup with a kind smile, ”Drink it while it’s hot, it’s not too hot anymore.”

”Thank you.”

She received it with both hands and walked towards the sofa.

Hospital.

The brightly lit operating room.

Trevor’s wound had been stitched up and bandaged.

The anesthesia hadn’t worn off yet, so Trevor didn’t feel any pain.

”We recommend staying hospitalized for a few days, because the tendons were injured, anti-inflammatory fluids are needed,” the doctor adjusted his glasses.

Without waiting for Trevor to speak, David Dalton quickly said, ”Okay, okay, we’ll follow the hospital’s arrangements.”

”President Dalton.” Trevor looked up.

”Take care and recover,” David Dalton said, ”Your health comes first, I’ll handle things at the company.”

Then, he entered the ward, staying with Trevor, refusing to leave.

Emerald Cove.

After drinking the chicken soup, Mia Lane went upstairs, as Justin Kingston was in the master bedroom, she entered the study.

She wanted to call her dad to ask about Trevor, although the injury wasn’t serious, a check-in would be a courtesy.

But worried that Justin Kingston might read too much into it.

Already jealous, should she comfort him first?

Mia Lane sighed lightly, recalling his aggressive demeanor, childish yet laughable.

Sitting down in the chair, she casually opened a drawer, initially intending to put the jade pendant inside, but inadvertently saw a paternity test.
