Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1112: Chapter 1112: The Rejection Is a Bit Obvious

David Dalton’s brow relaxed. ”Thank you, Stella.” The fact that she cared meant a lot.

Even though he wasn’t her own brother, she didn’t reject him and cared so much, which really moved him.

Ever since she knew about this brother, Stella never complained, not even once.

”Dad, do we need to say ’thank you’ in a family? Isn’t that too distant?”

Mia Lane’s eyes were deep and dark, exuding kindness. ”Don’t worry, Ian and I will do our best. He’s still so young; his life hasn’t even started yet. At the very least, we should make sure he becomes a normal person, a son you don’t have to worry about constantly.”

Lightening the father’s burden is also a form of love.

David Dalton was very touched and nodded, then told her, ”We saw Sean Dalton at the hospital today.”

Hmm?

Mia was slightly startled, meeting her father’s gaze, ”How is she?”

”She’s gone mad,” David Dalton sighed. ”She was holding a pillow and said it was her child.”

Mia was shocked! A trace of disbelief flashed in her eyes.

The father said, ”She wouldn’t let the doctors get close, and claimed the child’s father is a general. Her hair was a mess, her spirit was down, and she looked completely insane.”

Hearing this, Mia felt an intense shock inside her.

David Dalton told her, ”Sean Dalton was injected with a sedative, and the doctors from the mental hospital took her away.”

”...” Mia’s throat felt like it was stuck, bringing an indescribable discomfort.

David Dalton knew his daughter was kind, and this was definitely not the outcome she wanted.

”Stella.”

Mia snapped back, focusing her attention on her father.

”All of this is thanks to her mother,” David Dalton gripped his daughter’s shoulder. ”I won’t let anyone hurt you anymore. From now on, we will live peacefully and happily.”

Mia cherished everything that was hard-earned and nodded in agreement.

”Dad.” She reached out and hugged his waist, embracing David Dalton. ”Trust me, I will definitely cure Ethan.”

She spoke lightly, but only she knew how difficult the process was.

A few days later.

Ian Shelby’s hospital opened on schedule, located in the city center and named Providence Hospital.

It’s not the largest in Riventhal, but it ranks in the top three. The equipment is certainly the most advanced, with the strongest integrated technical capabilities and the most complete medical service facilities.

Most importantly, it has the genius pharmacist Ian Shelby.

So on the first day of opening, many patients came because of its reputation, stepping over the doorstep!

Patients came for gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, and more.

Vera Ford wore an elegant long dress, with a white coat buttoned up neatly on the outside, and her makeup was exquisite, giving her a vibrant look.

”Good morning, Ian. I brought you breakfast...”

Full of enthusiasm, she arrived at the door, but before finishing her sentence, she saw that Ian wasn’t alone in the office.

Mia Lane had brought Ethan Dalton, and everyone turned their gaze toward the hesitant girl at the door.

Vera immediately smiled, ”Good morning, Mrs. Kingston.” She stepped inside, ”You came so early?”

”Just call me Mia,” she smiled, ”No need to be so formal; after all, we’re all friends.”

They had once had a barbecue together before, so they were familiar.

Vera placed the bag on the desk, feeling a bit awkward. The disparity in status made addressing names directly feel improper, ”Mia, have you had breakfast?”

”We’ve already eaten.” Mia looked at her, her gaze soft.

Ian didn’t pay attention to Vera, concentrating throughout as he performed an initial examination on Ethan Dalton.

Feeling embarrassed, Vera sensibly whispered, ”I’ll be going now.”

”Don’t bring breakfast again,” Ian said without looking up, not pausing his examination, ”During work hours, stay at your post. It’s a doctor’s duty; don’t let patients find you missing.”
