Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1108: Chapter 1108: The Dalton Family Has No Treasure

David Dalton was driving, looking ahead, ”Let’s talk about it another day when we have a chance to be together.” He made his attitude very clear.

Trevor turned to look at him, understanding his intention, and didn’t ask further, ”Alright.”

”Is your hand hurting badly?”

”It’s okay, I don’t feel much.”

Trevor actually had a vague feeling that President Dalton wanted to say something about the matter involving him and President Lane.

The car headed towards the Dalton family villa, and Trevor withdrew his thoughts.

Some things, if President Dalton didn’t bring them up, he would never mention them in his lifetime.

Trevor’s emotions weighed heavily in his heart. Over the years, President Dalton has been like a father to him, and he respects and reveres him.

Night.

Emerald Cove, the second-floor terrace adorned with dim greenery.

The lights were warmly yellow, and the night breeze was gentle.

A bright moon hung high in the sky, emitting silver light, with bright stars twinkling.

It was a quiet and beautiful night.

Justin Kingston and Mia Lane sat at the coffee table on the terrace, both leaning back in their chairs, sipping two glasses of wine.

”Actually, it’s not that I don’t come to you when things happen.” Mia Lane prepared herself, explaining on her own, ”It’s just that the situation was urgent, and Trevor happened to be with me.”

”I know.” Justin Kingston looked up at her, watching the wind blow through her hair, seeing her charming smile; at that moment, she truly looked beautiful.

He said, ”Let’s move on from this; I don’t need an explanation.”

Mia Lane settled her gaze on him, and the two shared a comforting smile, clinking their glasses.

”Starting tomorrow, I’m going to give my all to treat Ethan.”

Mia Lane confidently told him, ”I’ll discuss the plan with Ian Shelby; can you accompany me if you have time?” Not wanting him to misunderstand.

Having experienced this, she realized he was incredibly jealous.

”Certainly.” Justin Kingston told her, ”My brother-in-law’s matter is now my matter; whatever help you need, just let me know.”

With his assurance, Mia Lane felt much more at ease, ”Are we standing on the same front now?”

”Although I’m not fond of his mother, I can still accept this blood-related son.” Justin Kingston took a sip of wine, ”Love for a house extends to its crows; I assume you feel the same.”

”Yes.”

Because Dad loves Ethan Dalton, she loves him too.

At this point, David Dalton drove Trevor home.

They had already eaten dinner.

It was too early to sleep after getting home, so the two started a game of chess, with Trevor able to move one arm.

”Actually, our Dalton family doesn’t have any treasure.” David Dalton said with some emotion, ”I really don’t know what John Jennings was thinking.”

Regarding this topic, Trevor was a bit surprised, as it was a sensitive issue, and he was also an outsider.

Trevor looked up at him, unsure how to respond.

David Dalton told him, ”These two halves of the Jade Pendant were custom-made by me; they’re definitely not any kind of key. I don’t know why the internet spread it like that.”

Trevor simply listened, ”John Jennings was caught, and it’s all over.”

”Hopefully.”

But there was one thing that had always been weighing on David Dalton’s mind; he needed to find an opportunity, wait for when he had the courage to say it.

So many things have happened lately, and it left him somewhat unable to catch his breath.

The next morning.

After breakfast, a Lamborghini was parked in front of Ian Shelby’s villa.

Ian Shelby wore a white casual suit, looking particularly spirited. He brewed some tea, ”Let me share some good news with you, I’ve invested in a hospital and plan to start consulting, to do what I can for ordinary people.”

”That’s great.” Mia Lane expressed her support, ”But you won’t be as leisurely anymore; holidays will practically become irrelevant to you.”

”The length of life cannot be determined, so I’ll decide its width.” Ian Shelby was enthusiastic, ”I’m starting work at the hospital next Monday.”

Justin Kingston told him, ”If there’s anything you need help with, just let me know, I can also invest.”
