Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 590: Chapter 590: Not Understanding Justin Kingston

”Barbara, did CEO Kingston come in today?” Monica Usher got straight to the point.

Barbara Sutton hadn’t yet gone to the CEO’s office, ”I don’t know, I just got here.”

”Then please go check for me.” Monica Usher said, ”If he plans to come to the office today, he should already be here by this time.”

Having worked with Justin Kingston for many years, she knew him to some extent.

Barbara Sutton hesitated for a moment, ”Okay, hold on.” She put down her phone and got up to leave.

It was just to go take a look, it’s not really any company secret, Barbara comforted herself, I’ll just take a glance for her.

Actually, someone at Barbara Sutton’s level wouldn’t have access to company secrets.

But she had strong principles and felt that since Monica had gone to R-Alan, she shouldn’t have much contact with her.

The CEO’s office had no sign of CEO Kingston.

Barbara Sutton returned to the deputy CEO’s office, picked up her phone from the desk, ”Monica, CEO Kingston hasn’t come in.”

Monica Usher could sense a hint of reluctance in her voice, ”Okay, I got it.”

After hanging up, Monica Usher fell into contemplation, pondering Barbara’s inner thoughts.

But soon she got up and went to the next office.

Lydia Ingram, with a slightly bald head and a somewhat greasy appearance, was sitting in his office chair, back to the door, a cigar in his fingers.

”Justin Kingston still hasn’t come to the office.” Monica Usher conveyed the news upon entering.

Lydia Ingram turned around, exhaling rings of smoke, his eyes slightly deep, ”Based on what you know of him, what do you think he’d be doing now, seeing that we’ve taken his stuff?”

Monica Usher had thought of a million possibilities, and when she couldn’t figure out the answer, she realized she actually didn’t really know Justin Kingston.

Seeing her not answering, Lydia Ingram speculated, ”Do you think Justin Kingston has seen the news?”

Monica Usher couldn’t be sure, but Mia Lane was also not here, where could those two have gone?

On a business trip?

Vacation?

The Zulmar side had already cut off their supply of original diamonds, which supposedly took three years to find.

Given such a situation, it’s unlikely they’d still have the mood to vacation, right?

Besides, this project has always been important to Justin Kingston.

”Whether or not he has seen it,” Monica Usher’s tone was slightly cold, ”we must win this jewelry battle.”

”Hahaha!” Lydia Ingram was delighted, ”Yes, we must win!” He looked over Monica Usher with appreciation, today she was dressed finely, in a light blue suit-skirt, hem at the thigh, fitting and appropriate.

That day, Monica Usher worked overtime again.

Lydia Ingram stayed as well, Joe accompanied him, but didn’t ask anything this time; men’s thoughts are sometimes known without saying.

A few hours later, as night deepened...

In the brightly lit deputy CEO’s office of R-Alan Group, the decor was quite meticulous.

Hearing footsteps, as Monica Usher was sketching designs, she looked up to see Lydia Ingram coming in with a bag, pausing slightly, her gaze landing on the bag.

”Are you hungry?” he inquired, placing the bag on her desk, ”I brought you some supper.”

”Not really.” Monica Usher quickly tidied her desk, grabbed her bag, and got up, ”I’m heading out.”

Before Lydia Ingram could open the lunchbox, Monica Usher was already walking out of the office with her heels clicking, not looking back. Staring at the empty doorway, Lydia Ingram was stunned for a few seconds, frowning slightly, even a bit baffled.

Is she... intentionally avoiding him?
