Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 555: Chapter 555: I Want to See You, Right Now

Finn Morgan told Justin Kingston about the call regarding the rough diamond supplier in Rhovan that he and Mia Lane received.

He also made it clear once again that if The Kingston Group offered double the price, the rival would offer triple.

”Childish, ridiculous,” Justin Kingston said with his hands in his pockets; he had already figured out a strategy on the plane, ”Zulmar is so big, it’s not necessary to buy in Rhovan.”

”President Lane and I thought the same way,” Finn Morgan said, ”With further comparisons, we can definitely find a better rough diamond, it just takes some time.”

”Exactly.” With that, Justin Kingston turned to leave.

”Where are you going?” Finn Morgan stood up.

Justin Kingston stopped and turned his eyes to him, saying, ”Even though Monica Usher can’t pose a big threat to The Kingston Group, I don’t like her either, but I can’t let her ruin herself at Lydia Ingram’s hands to go against me.”

”...” Finn Morgan didn’t know what to say.

Justin Kingston thought, after all, they grew up together, and both had a lot in common.

Moreover, she once worked hard for The Kingston Group.

Resuming his steps to leave, Finn Morgan had no time to call him back, much less ask a few questions: Who is that woman in Korland?

Why were you in her bedroom?

Sitting on her bed?

But Finn Morgan was quite sure Justin Kingston hadn’t seen the news yet, otherwise, why look for Monica Usher now? He should be begging Mia Lane instead.

In the adjacent Vice President’s office.

Mia Lane inadvertently looked up and saw the familiar figure passing by outside the glass door... tall and graceful, with an aristocratic air that made others feel out of reach.

He left without a single explanation.

Mia Lane quickly snapped back to reality, immersing herself in her work, trying to keep busy so she wouldn’t overthink.

In the Lyncroft County People’s Hospital.

Barbara Sutton’s mother’s surgery was very successful, taking only 28 minutes, and was now in the recovery room.

Once the anesthesia wore off, she would soon wake up and recover gradually.

”Thank you, Sis Monica.” For her mother’s surgery, Barbara Sutton was filled with gratitude.

”You’re welcome.” Monica Usher squeezed her shoulder, ”Stay here a few more days to keep her company, I’m heading back to Riventhal, can’t take too long a leave on the second day of the job, I have to work this afternoon.”

Hearing this, Mr. Sutton was even more grateful, ”Ms. Usher, your great kindness is something the Sutton family will never forget!”

Monica Usher smiled without replying; she had heard such words countless times, just hoping that when it really required repayment, Barbara Sutton wouldn’t hesitate.

”Sis Monica, you should go, don’t let us hold you up,” Barbara Sutton said to her, ”I will work hard to repay you, drive safely on your way back.”

”No rush about the money,” Monica Usher replied seriously, ”Do I look like someone who needs that little bit of money?”

Their eyes met, and Barbara Sutton’s lips curled upwards, finally showing a relaxed smile, ”Then I’ll repay slowly later.”

Monica Usher nodded, said goodbye to the Sutton family, and also to her surgery expert friend, then drove off from the hospital.

Not long after her car got on the highway, her phone rang, and seeing the caller ID, she was stunned.

It was Justin Kingston?

She hadn’t saved this number because it was a new phone, but she would remember this string of digits till death.

Couldn’t recall the last time this number showed up, it seemed like it had been centuries.

Monica Usher answered, put the phone to her ear, ”...” but she didn’t speak.

”Where are you?” Justin Kingston’s voice was deep and familiar, ”I want to see you, now.”

Her lips curved slightly, her nose tingled, she tried hard to dispel the moisture in her eyes, ”Have you forgotten your identity? You want to see me? Are you sure?”

”Meet me at The Listening Café,” with that, Justin Kingston hung up the phone.
