Stockpiling for an Exiled General Through My Store's Back Door

Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Look, a Plane

Arriving in front of the supermarket doors, Hua Buwan stopped in her tracks.

She couldn’t carry Ling Qianjun, so the method she used to cross over to Dongxuan Country wouldn’t work.

That meant she had to use the method she had thought of before but hadn’t applied. Standing beside him, she would place one hand on Ling Qianjun’s back and the other in front of him. She wondered, ”Hmm? Can I pretend to accidentally brush against this handsome guy’s pecs?”

As soon as the thought popped up, Hua Buwan suppressed it. It was as if a little angel and a little demon were fighting above her head, and in the end, the little angel triumphed over the little demon.

Hua Buwan composed herself and explained her idea to Ling Qianjun.

Ling Qianjun raised an eyebrow and laughed aloud. ”Is Buwan planning to pinch me and walk out like a crab?”

Hearing this and picturing the scene, Hua Buwan couldn’t help but laugh as well. ”Yeah, like a crab.”

”Alright, I’ll follow your lead.” Ling Qianjun nodded without objection.

Hua Buwan geared up, placing one hand on Ling Qianjun’s back and the other blocking his front. One step, two steps... they slowly shuffled forward. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Opening the supermarket doors, her hand went out first, and Ling Qianjun closely followed.

At that moment, Ling Qianjun’s eyes sparkled. He had finally stepped out of the grocery store! He wondered what the outside world was like a thousand years in the future.

He was both curious and apprehensive.

Fortunately, Hua Buwan was by his side; he knew she would help him.

Just like that, the two of them were standing outside the supermarket.

Hua Buwan double-checked and confirmed that Ling Qianjun had truly stepped past the barrier and out the doors! Unable to contain her excitement, she hopped in place. ”It worked, it worked!”

The sprouted seed in her heart silently grew a little taller.

After calming down, Hua Buwan waved her hand grandly and pointed forward. ”Come, let me show you the world a thousand years later!”

It was early afternoon. The sun was scorching, and there were currently few pedestrians on the road.

Hua Buwan directly straddled the pink electric scooter parked by the entrance and told Ling Qianjun, ”Put this on. I’ll take you for a spin.”

She planned to take Ling Qianjun on the scooter to cruise down the streets, letting him see the magical modes of transportation around here, before taking a loop by the seaside.

Hua Buwan remembered Ling Qianjun mentioning that he had never seen the ocean.

He had lived in Capital City since childhood and then joined the army in the Northern Land in his youth. He truly never had the chance to see the ocean.

Therefore, Hua Buwan wanted to take him to see it.

People who had never seen the ocean always held a longing for it.

Hua Buwan put her safety helmet on first. Seeing Ling Qianjun watching her to learn, she gave him a few pointers, and he quickly caught on.

Hua Buwan got on the scooter, and Ling Qianjun swung his long legs over to mount it, sitting behind her.

”Hold on tight.” Hua Buwan turned the key in the ignition. ”Let’s go!”

Ling Qianjun didn’t dare embrace Hua Buwan’s waist; he merely rested his hands lightly on her shoulders.

Hua Buwan zoomed off at once. It gave him a mild shock, but since he knew how to ride a horse, he found it manageable.

If the opportunity arose, Ling Qianjun also wanted to try riding this vehicle himself.

Once on the road, Hua Buwan kept to the side and drove as slowly as possible, introducing the passing vehicles to Ling Qianjun.

”This is called a car, it has four wheels... This is a van... This is a tricycle... This is a big truck...”

Ling Qianjun earnestly memorized Hua Buwan’s words, too stunned to speak. He only thought that the people a thousand years later were truly incredible. They could turn big metal sheets into these vehicles that moved so fast without needing oxen or horses to pull them!

When they arrived at the seaside, Hua Buwan looked up at the sky, pointed, and exclaimed, ”Look, an airplane!”
