Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”Ahhh!”

”A demon, he’s a demon!”

”How on earth are we supposed to kill such a monster?”

”Don’t retreat! He is only one person. As long as his chakra runs out, the only outcome for him is death!”

”Kill him!”

On the battlefield.

Bodies lay everywhere, severed limbs could be seen in every direction, and the ground was dyed red with blood.

The air was filled with the pungent smell of blood.

Piercing screams and terrified cries rang out one after another.

This bloody scene struck at the hearts of these battle-hardened shinobi, and fear and despair flooded their minds.

The entire battlefield was shrouded in a suffocating atmosphere.

The sky was covered in dark clouds, as if pitying this bloody massacre!

Tragic!

Only the word ”tragic” could describe this battle!

Of course.

The dark clouds in the sky were naturally not a sign of heaven’s mercy, but rather a more powerful killing intent.

Muffled thunder rolled within the clouds, containing terrifying lightning. This was not a naturally formed weather phenomenon.

It was the brewing process of some powerful ninjutsu.

’Chi chi chi.’

Seiryū held his blade, formed from materialized chakra, and slashed toward his surroundings.

The flying slash-type Hadō released a chilling killing intent, carrying unparalleled sharpness, cutting down all the shinobi who had come to surround and kill him.

Blood and body parts were scattered across the land amidst bursts of wailing and screaming. Under this single blow, hundreds of Iwagakure and Kumogakure shinobi met their ends.

With Seiryū’s slaughter and massacre, the Iwagakure and Kumogakure forces, who had previously viewed each other as enemies, had tacitly set aside their hatred.

They only wanted to kill this Shinigami, this demon.

The opponent was so powerful that they could only join forces and exhaust his strength to kill him.

Thousands of Kumogakure shinobi, thousands of Iwagakure shinobi. Together, there were as many as ten thousand.

Ten thousand people surrounding one man.

This should have been a battle that was sure to be won, one that couldn’t be lost.

Yet the result was.

Even with ten thousand people joining forces and their vast numbers, they couldn’t have much impact on the monster before them.

Instead, they were slaughtered by him until they were terrified, with countless casualties!

The opponent was like a Shinigami descending, reaping lives one by one!

”Dragon Fist Burst!”

Seiryū struck the air with his fist, vibrating the dragon-shaped punch energy and forcing the incoming Third Raikage to block.

Amid a ’boom’ explosion, although the Third Raikage managed to block it with a desperate punch, he was inevitably knocked back.

Even with the overload of his Lightning Release Chakra Mode, he still couldn’t easily block such an attack!

’Boom, boom, boom.’

Thunder rumbled in the sky, and streaks of lightning flashed down.

Seiryū pointed his chakra blade at the sky. As the nature of his chakra changed, lightning danced along the edge of the blade.

’Crackle, crackle.’

Amid the electric chirping, the lightning on the blade connected with the muffled thunder in the clouds.

The blade’s lightning drew upon the lightning within the clouds, causing the high-altitude clouds to continuously vibrate and roll.

The contained lightning formed a ferocious Kirin made of electricity, revealing its form within the clouds, and an inexplicable sense of oppression descended!

”Lightning Release: Kirin!”

A sinister smile curled on the corner of Seiryū’s mouth as he swung down his lightning-charged blade.

The Kirin formed of lightning moved with the falling blade, swooping down from high above.

How fast was lightning?

Almost the moment the light flashed, the attack had already landed!

Fast, incomparably fast!

Lightning Release: Kirin was just a technique, but its speed was too fast. Too fast for ordinary shinobi to react.

However, there were many strong individuals on the field, and there was no shortage of sensory shinobi!

Someone reacted, and the moment the clouds stirred, they chose to attack!

”Dust Release!”

The Third Tsuchikage couldn’t perform a stronger Dust Release in his rushed state, but it was not to be underestimated.

The light of the Dust Release shot into the sky, colliding head-on with the descending Lightning Release: Kirin!

”Tailed Beast Ball!”

The other two Jinchuriki also unleashed their ultimate moves simultaneously, two Tailed Beast Balls blasting upward!

’Rumble!’

The attacks collided in midair, a roar that shook a thousand miles rang out, and a destructive shockwave swept in all directions, brushing past the crowd of shinobi below.

Those who were closer and weaker vomited blood and were sent flying by the aftermath of the impact, some dying without even knowing why!

The aftermath of powerful attacks was not something the weak could resist!

”You blocked it once, but what about the second time? The power of nature is inexhaustible. As long as the overcast weather remains, this move can be performed one after another.”

Seiryū licked his lips, his voice hoarse and sinister.

Lightning Release: Kirin consumed very little chakra. It was not even as much as a Rasengan. It only required changing the nature of chakra into Lightning Release as a primer.

It used the ”lightning rod” method to draw down the thunder from the sky!

’Crackle!’

The three strongest Iwagakure shinobi who reacted the fastest had just blocked one Lightning Release: Kirin, but the next moment, another Lightning Release: Kirin came crashing down!

’Boom!’

The Lightning Release: Kirin landed, shrouding that area in electricity.

Amid the roaring sound, the ground was blasted into a crater, and lightning ravaged and spread outward.

It affected many people, adding to the casualties, not even leaving behind screams.

”Heh heh heh, as expected of a Kage, as expected of Jinchuriki. You blocked it again?”

In the perception of the Vollständig: Heavenly Eye, the others in that area were dead.

But the Third Tsuchikage and the two Jinchuriki were still alive, having blocked the bombardment of Lightning Release: Kirin once more.

Then continue!

If it didn’t work once, if it didn’t work twice, surely it would work after a few more tries?

There would always be a time when they couldn’t block it!

”Hell Stab: One-Finger Nukite!”

Just as Seiryū wanted to continue, an angry roar filled with killing intent arrived.

Faster than the sound was a black streak of lightning.

The Third Raikage, having regrouped, turned into a black bolt of lightning. His powerful physique pierced through the air, crossing a hundred meters in the blink of an eye.

Lightning danced on his left arm. Black Lightning condensed and struck, burning the skin of his left arm black, his muscles splitting.

The blood was vaporized by the powerful lightning before it could even seep out.

Too many of their Kumogakure people had died in this battle.

Those who could be summoned and step onto the battlefield were the backbone of Kumogakure.

The casualties were too tragic, making him, the Raikage, feel anger and killing intent!

The one who caused these casualties was merely a brat!

The opponent was too strong, his talent too heaven-defying.

He already possessed the power to sweep through the Ninja World, comparable to the former Asura of the Shinobi World and the God of Shinobi. What if he was given more time?

He would become even more terrifying than those two!

Furthermore, the opponent’s ideology was too extreme. Just for that kind of idea, he actually wanted the entire Ninja World to submit to his will?

A lunatic, crazy, insane!

He was even more threatening than Senju Hashirama and Madara of the past!

If this person didn’t die, Kumogakure, no, the Ninja World would never have peace.

No one was willing to be ruled by others, and no one was willing to watch such a lunatic rule the Ninja World!

Only by killing the opponent!

If the opponent didn’t die, their Kumogakure would be annihilated by him, annihilated for the sake of his ridiculous goal!

”Starting to risk your life? Then come on. I said before that I would crush you with absolute power, and I will do it!”

Seiryū locked his gaze on the Third Raikage, grinning with a neurotic smile. ”Once you, the spiritual pillar, are lost, the other people of Kumogakure should accept my ideas, right?”

The opponent was overloading his Lightning Release Chakra Mode and using his strongest lightning spear regardless of the burden.

He was already desperate.

That was fine. Crush the opponent with absolute strength!

The death of their spiritual pillar should make the people of Kumogakure lose their resistance, accept his ideas, and submit to his will!

Crush them head-on!

Holding this thought, Seiryū did not dodge, nor did he need to dodge.

Even with an overloaded burst, the Third Raikage was not his match!

”Serious Punch: Dragon Fist Burst!”

Instead of retreating, he advanced.

Seiryū charged out, the ground behind him cracking, turning into a blue stream of light as he attacked, his right arm surging with chakra.

A serious, full-power punch met the piercing strongest spear of the Third Raikage!

’Rumble!’

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the two charged at each other and then collided violently.

The bent index finger carried Black Lightning that destroyed everything. The piercing thunder never ceased, and even steel could be easily torn apart. The power of the Raikage lineage’s strongest lightning spear was fully displayed!

The fist, where chakra was condensed and erupted, possessed the power to shake mountains.

With one punch, the air was compressed and twisted, the punch energy resembling a dragon, possessing the terrifying power to destroy heaven and earth!

A roar, a roar that shook the eardrums, echoed and erupted.

Many people around covered their ears at this moment.

’Boom, boom, boom.’

The collision stirred up a monstrous air wave, the shockwave sweeping and expanding, destroying everything within a hundred-meter radius.

The unlucky ones who were close by suffered.

They were either killed by the aftermath or sent flying while vomiting blood.

”Die for me!”

The Third Raikage roared repeatedly, his internal chakra fully mobilized. The Lightning Release Armor covering his index finger gave it the power to tear through everything.

But at this moment, he could not tear through the opponent’s fist, or the power unleashed by the opponent’s fist.

Erupt!

Erupt!

He wanted to use his strongest lightning spear to tear through the opponent’s attack, the opponent’s everything, and send this ”Shinigami,” who had stained his hands with the blood of so many Kumogakure shinobi, to hell!

The idea was good, but his strength did not allow him to do such a thing.

”Honestly, your strength surprises me.”

Seiryū, who had stacked two states, was stronger in raw strength than the overloaded Third Raikage, appearing even more relaxed.

Strong was strong.

No matter how one boosted their power, as long as they did not temporarily cheat, the gap in raw strength could not be crossed by will or killing intent alone.

In this world that emphasized bloodlines, for an ”ordinary person” to possess such power was already proof of the opponent’s talent.

”It’s just that I am stronger. I am someone using cheats, and I am fundamentally different from all of you.”

In the stalemate, Seiryū said this with a grin.

He was not a normal person at all.

He was a cheater.

No matter how powerful you were, in front of someone using cheats, you had to lower your head.

Being able to kill someone using cheats only meant that the other party wasn’t cheating enough!

Naruto could dominate the Fourth Shinobi World War by relying on the Uzumaki Clan’s physique and the Nine-Tails, and by joining forces, even Six Paths Obito was defeated.

And Seiryū had a similar configuration, Uzumaki physique plus Dragon Vein chakra.

And Seiryū was even more outrageous.

The Eight Gates, which had held Rock Lee back for many years, Seiryū could also use, and he could open the Eight Gates without dying!

The Dragon Vein also underwent unusual changes because of Seiryū and the system, making it very compatible with the Eight Gates, and they could be used simultaneously.

Plus the most important thing.

He possessed a system, possessed the power of another world!

As long as the conditions for unlocking the Hadō were met, he didn’t need to spend effort to train!

The combination of various factors made Seiryū’s strength exceed the understanding of countless people.

At this age, he already possessed the power to sweep through the Ninja World!

Even against Madara or Senju Hashirama in their prime, Seiryū now had the confidence to fight them!

This was the current Seiryū, the third shinobi to possess the power to sweep through the Ninja World.

He was a cheater!

”It’s over. Let your death tell Kumogakure, tell everyone a fact. If you don’t acknowledge me, if you don’t obey me, then the only outcome is destruction!”

Seiryū’s smile was wild, looking like a madman, declaring this fact.

’Boom!’

This punch overcame the Third Raikage’s attack, crushed the rampant and dancing Black Lightning, tore through the opponent’s Lightning Release Armor, and at the same time shattered the opponent’s last hope.

’Snap, snap.’

First the finger bones broke, then the hand bones broke, and then the entire body.

The Third Raikage’s well-trained physique, the Lightning Release Armor that could withstand a Tailed Beast Ball, simply could not resist Seiryū’s punch.

The terrifying punch energy destroyed everything and also shattered half of the Third Raikage’s body.

Blood and flesh were like exploding fireworks, the scene incomparably bloody.

’Boom, boom, boom.’

Seiryū’s punch energy, the dragon-shaped punch energy, continued unabated, shattering everything behind him.

It plowed a ravine that extended for an unknown distance.

Everything in that direction, regardless of who or what it was, was torn apart under this heaven-shaking punch energy!

”Cough, cough.”

His powerful physique gave the Third Raikage strong vitality.

Although half of his body was shattered, he still had one last breath left.

His life force and chakra fluctuations were rapidly decaying.

”It’s you won. You are even more terrifying than the former Madara and Senju Hashirama.”

The Third Raikage’s voice was intermittent, his breath weak.

However, as if it were a final flash before death, his voice became clear at the end. ”Your growth rate is too fast, so fast that by the time we noticed you, you had already grown.”

”Heh heh heh, the foundation of Konoha is truly enviable.”

The hatred and killing intent in his eyes had not diminished, but the Third Raikage was already unable to do anything.

Eyes could not kill. He was not of the Uchiha Clan.

Even if he were of the Uchiha Clan, he couldn’t kill this monster before him with the Sharingan!

Taking advantage of his last breath, the Third Raikage looked at the other Kumogakure shinobi on the battlefield.

Using his last strength, he said his final words. ”Everyone, listen to my orders. As the Third Raikage, I issue my final command!”

”Everyone, give up resistance. We, Kumogakure, have lost this battle.”

”Acknowledge the opponent’s ideas, obey the opponent’s will. Do not engage in senseless resistance, as it will only cause more casualties.”

The Third Raikage died.

Yet, like a war god, he did not fall. His remaining body stood tall upon the earth.

It was so tragic and sorrowful!

Those final words were the Third Raikage realizing the reality.

To be an enemy of such a monster, such a lunatic, the only outcome was death.

It would only increase unnecessary casualties.

The opponent was not the benevolent Senju Hashirama, not the arrogant Madara, but a lunatic, a thorough lunatic who would stop at nothing to achieve his goal!

The current Kumogakure could not withstand such a monster.

After his death, Kumogakure no longer had any top-tier combat power.

This battle had also cost too many of their backbone forces.

The demise and destruction of Kumogakure was already certain.

As the Kage of the village, he also cared about Kumogakure.

Since demise and destruction could not be avoided, then reduce casualties as much as possible.

This was the last thing he, as their Kage, could do!

Just as the Third Raikage drew his last breath, a system notification sounded in Seiryū’s mind.

[Ding, mission completed, rewards are being distributed.]
