Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”He left, he actually left!?”

Kushina watched as Seiryū disappeared, frozen in place.

Why did he just leave!?

And what did that last sentence mean?

It was not just Kushina. Everyone else also had a bad feeling that things were taking a turn for the worse.

”...”

Tsunade took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.

She looked at Minato and asked, ”Minato, you have a Flying Thunder God kunai that you gave to Seiryū, right? Can you lock onto his location?”

Minato closed his eyes to sense it, then shook his head solemnly. ”Seiryū must have placed the Flying Thunder God kunai inside his ninja tool pouch. I can only vaguely sense a direction. I can’t lock onto his exact location.”

”Damn it.”

Tsunade cursed under her breath.

Now it was really troublesome!

Given Seiryū’s extreme personality, if he said he would change the Ninja World, he would definitely do it!

She even had a rough guess based on Seiryū’s personality.

That was that Seiryū would use absolute power to force the people of other Ninja Villages to follow his will!

Taking a deep breath, Tsunade spoke solemnly to everyone present, ”In my capacity as the Fourth Hokage, I order the high-level officials of every department to go to the conference room and discuss how to deal with this matter!”

They needed to find Seiryū’s location first!

”Yes!”

In her capacity as the Fourth Hokage.

This was a Hokage’s order, which they, as Konoha shinobi, had to obey.

At the same time, they were also clear about the current situation.

Just thinking about what the extreme Seiryū might do made their scalps tingle!

Just like that, under Tsunade’s order.

Konoha’s high-level officials gathered together to discuss this matter regarding Seiryū.

While the meeting was being held in Konoha.

Seiryū, who had left Konoha, appeared in the Land of Fire, at the place where he had once fought the Third Raikage.

Standing on a large tree, Seiryū looked into the distance toward the Land of Lightning.

How should he change it?

Hashirama and Madara had already set examples in the past.

”Let’s start with you first, Kumogakure. Come to think of it, it seems there is still one task I haven’t completed.”

Seiryū’s extreme side had merely been amplified.

He had not lost his sanity. He still had some ability to think.

It was just that his mind felt clouded, and it was not functioning very well.

Seiryū actually could not remember how many tasks he had left to complete, so he asked the system, ”System, tell me the tasks I haven’t completed yet.”

[Ding, the host currently has four unfinished tasks. The road to becoming the Soul King is filled with danger. Please do not slack off, host, and achieve the position of Soul King as soon as possible!]

Seiryū tilted his head in confusion. ”Four? Why do I remember there being only three?”

[Ding, this system cannot make mistakes. The host currently has four unfinished tasks!]

Seiryū vaguely remembered that there were only three, so why had another one appeared? He then asked, ”Which four?”

[Ding, please remember the task contents. This system will only answer once. Please complete the tasks as soon as possible, host, and achieve the position of Soul King!

Task 1: Develop and perfect the power of the Quincy! Task Reward: Quincy Vollständig!

Task 2: Kill the powerhouse who harbors killing intent toward the host! Task Reward: Bakudō #60: Rikujōkōrō!

Task 3: Investigate the anomaly in Hell! Task Reward: Hadō #99: Goryū Tenmetsu!

Task 4: Completely subdue the Hollow power within the body! Task Reward: Gran Ray Cero!]

Listening to the system prompt in his mind, Seiryū tilted his head. ”Hmm?”

He had memories of the other three tasks.

But when was Task 4 released?

He had no memory of it.

Thinking that if he didn’t know, he should ask, Seiryū asked the system, ”When was Task 4 released?”

Although the system was a bit unreliable, it would answer some questions.

[Ding, this task was released half a year ago. This task has been ongoing for half a year. Please do not slack off, host, and complete the task as soon as possible!]

After hearing this, Seiryū just nodded. ”Oh, half a year ago? That’s been dragging on for quite a while.”

[Ding, please do not joke with this system, host. This task was released fifteen minutes ago. As the future ruler of the Three Realms, how can you be controlled by the power of the Hollow? Please complete this task as soon as possible, host!]

”?”

A question mark appeared over Seiryū’s head, and he continued to ask, ”System, when was Task 4 released?”

[Ding, please do not ask this system repeatedly. This is the last time this system will answer. This task was released ten years ago. Please remember the task, host, and complete it as soon as possible without the slightest slack!]

”Oh, I almost forgot. The system’s perception is a bit off. It’s a malfunctioning system.”

Seiryū suddenly realized.

The system had always been unreliable, and its perception was a bit off. It was a malfunctioning system.

Then Seiryū no longer wanted to ask, and waved his hand. ”I know. Withdraw.”

He would not think about it anymore.

These were not the main points.

The point was that it was time to act.

It seemed that the powerhouse in ”Task 2: Kill the powerhouse who harbors killing intent toward the host” referred to the Third Raikage?

That had to be it!

Since there was a task, and he also needed to kill the Third Raikage, he would go and cause trouble for Kumogakure.

He would start changing things from Kumogakure first and make them follow his will.

”I’m a bit hungry. I haven’t eaten lunch yet. Never mind, there should be food over at Kumogakure.”

Seiryū muttered to himself, his face once again revealing a neurotic, ferocious grin.

His figure flashed, turning into an afterimage as he headed toward Kumogakure.

At the same time, he spread out his perception, wanting to see if Kumogakure had deployed troops here.

About an hour later.

Seiryū had already entered the Land of Lightning.

His wide-range Vollständig: Heavenly Eye sensed chakra fluctuations ahead, and there were quite a few people.

It should be a Kumogakure border outpost!

”Finally found it.”

A fierce light appeared in Seiryū’s eyes, and his mouth curled into a neurotic smile.

Chakra condensed to form a bowstring. Seiryū drew his bow, nocked an arrow, and fired a Heilig Pfeil marked with a Flying Thunder God seal in that direction.

The Heilig Pfeil traced a graceful arc and landed in the middle of the Kumogakure border outpost.

With a ’boom,’ the Heilig Pfeil unleashed its power, blasting open a crater.

This commotion caused the expressions of the Kumogakure shinobi at the outpost to change drastically.

”Let me ask a question. Do you agree with my thoughts, and will you follow my will?”

Amid the dust, a figure seemed to flash and appear.

And a ferocious voice entered the ears of the Kumogakure shinobi, who wore solemn and vigilant expressions.

”Who is it!?”

”Watch out, enemy attack!”

”How dare you!”

All the Kumogakure shinobi looked over, already prepared for battle!

Someone had directly charged into the Land of Lightning and launched an attack on those stationed here. Who exactly had such nerve?

And what did those words mean?

They made no sense!

’Whoosh!’

The dust was swept away by a strong wind, revealing the half-dragon Hollowfied Seiryū within.

”This is. What kind of monster is that!?”

”Retreat quickly, this chakra is too massive. It’s not even weaker than a Tailed Beast!”

”Is it human, or.”

Seeing the Hollowfied Seiryū at this moment, all the Kumogakure shinobi widened their eyes, expressions of horror appearing on their faces.

Although he still retained more human characteristics.

No matter how they looked at him, he did not look like a normal human at all.

He was somewhat like a Jinchūriki during a Semi-Tailed Beast Transformation, but it was different!

”This face.”

Someone vaguely felt that this face, covered with some purple scales, was very familiar. After thinking carefully.

Their pupils contracted violently, and an indescribable look of terror appeared on their face. ”Could it be. Could it be Konoha’s Shinigami, Uzumaki Seiryū!?”

There was also a sensory shinobi who remembered the fluctuations of Dragon Vein chakra, and their terrified voice also rang out. ”This kind of chakra fluctuation is the aura of that monster inside Seiryū that is suspected to be a Tailed Beast!”

’Boom!’

The words of the two were like a bomb thrown into a calm lake, causing everyone’s expressions to change again and again.

”Konoha’s Shinigami,” Uzumaki Seiryū!

This was the terrifying powerhouse who had forced the Third Raikage to retreat.

He had also given them an order that if they encountered the opponent on the battlefield, no matter what the mission was, they could abandon it!

How could this kind of monster be here!?

”Can’t you understand human speech?”

The noisy voices made Seiryū a bit impatient. He grinned, revealing a cold, ferocious smile. ”Then I will say it one more time. Do you agree with my thoughts?”

One person wore a confused expression, really unable to understand what Seiryū was saying. ”Wh, what?”

Another person gritted their teeth and cursed, ”What, what? Run quickly! We can’t possibly be this monster’s opponent!”

”Go quickly and report this information to Raikage-sama!”

”Scatter and leave. You must tell Raikage-sama this information. Konoha has launched an attack on us!”

”...”

They did not understand what Seiryū was saying, but these Kumogakure shinobi were clear about the gap in strength.

If they did not run, were they supposed to stay here and wait for death?

The opponent’s strength was not something they could deal with!

And there was one more point.

Konoha’s Shinigami, Seiryū, had charged into the Land of Lightning and appeared at a Kumogakure outpost. This already revealed a very unusual signal!

It was very likely that Konoha would launch a full-scale attack on Kumogakure!

This kind of major event, which could concern Kumogakure’s survival, needed to be reported to the Third Raikage so they could prepare a response.

”You don’t agree either? You really don’t know what’s good for you.”

Seeing that these people did not answer his question, Seiryū’s face revealed an expression of displeasure.

These people did not agree with his thoughts, nor would they follow his will.

”Cero.”

Seiryū made his move. The golden chains behind him soared into the sky, dancing wildly.

The tips of dozens of golden chains lit up with dark red light, and Cero after Cero fell like raindrops.

’Boom boom boom.’ Dense rumbling sounds rang out, making the earth tremble.

With just one round of attacks, more than half of the Kumogakure shinobi at this outpost were either dead or injured.

’Sizzle sizzle sizzle.’

And Seiryū’s attacks had not stopped. After the Cero came the Heilig Pfeil. Both were wide-range attacks, and soon this place turned into a living hell.

Even at the Jonin level, they could hardly withstand the current Seiryū for long.

The golden chains held a Kumogakure Jonin. Seiryū looked at him, his expression becoming a bit more irritable and angry. ”Do you agree with my thoughts? Speak quickly!”

”I. I don’t.”

This Kumogakure Jonin was terrified to the extreme. As a Jonin, he had almost no power to resist in front of the opponent.

He was subdued in just a few moves, and the chakra in his body was also sealed and restricted, making him unable to mobilize it.

At such an age, how could he possess such terrifying power?

He wanted to say that he did not know.

But as the word ”don’t” fell, he only felt the golden chains around his neck tighten. His neck went cold, and his consciousness began to fade.

The last thought in his mind was, if you want us to agree with your thoughts and follow your will, you should at least explain what thoughts you have and what will you want us to follow!

Although he might not necessarily agree or follow, he could still try to fight for a chance to survive.

Couldn’t you at least let him finish his sentence?

Casually tossing the headless corpse aside, Seiryū’s face became even gloomier and more irritable. ”Is no one planning to agree with my thoughts and follow my will? So annoying!”

”It seems beating Kumogakure into submission won’t be that easy because the Third Raikage, that pillar, is still there. Then I can only kill you.”

A fierce light appeared in Seiryū’s eyes.

In his heart, he felt that the reason these people would not be beaten into submission by him was because Kumogakure still had the Third Raikage, that pillar.

As long as he killed the Third Raikage, the Kumogakure shinobi should lose their will to resist and completely agree with his thoughts and follow his will!

’Swish!’

Flashing in front of another heavily injured person, Seiryū did not continue asking the previous question.

Instead, he cast a genjutsu, controlling the other person.

But he did not learn the Third Raikage’s whereabouts from the other person’s mouth.

He asked several more people in succession, and the answers he got were the same. None of them knew the Third Raikage’s whereabouts.

”Forget it. When I fight my way to Kumogakure, it will be impossible for him not to come out.”

Seiryū narrowed his eyes and gave up on the idea of asking these people for the Third Raikage’s whereabouts.

Anyway, as long as he fought his way to Kumogakure, as the Kage, it was impossible for the other party not to appear!

Now, hmm, he should eat first!

As a Kumogakure outpost, there were naturally living supplies here, and Seiryū ate without ceremony.

At the same time.

Also, while Seiryū was eating lunch.

The information about ”Konoha’s Shinigami” attacking the Kumogakure border outpost was also sent to the Third Raikage, who was training in Black Lightning at Unraikyō.
