Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

’Boom, boom, boom!’

The billowing shockwave continued to expand, throwing the surrounding earth into turmoil.

The rolling air currents and scattered impacts, however, could not shake the Perfect Susanoo.

However, under such an attack, the chakra blade condensed by the Susanoo also cracked and broke.

But Madara did not care. The opponent’s technique had been blocked by him!

”This time, it won’t be so easy for you to succeed!”

Madara said coldly, his Mangekyō spinning in his eyes.

”Roar!”

The Susanoo let out a roar and punched heavily toward Seiryū, who was floating in midair while stepping on the air. The air itself was blasted with a sonic boom!

’Whoosh!’

With a thought, Seiryū’s figure disappeared from the spot, avoiding the attack.

He appeared beside Tsunade and exhaled. ”Damn it, he gets stronger every time. Is this guy on drugs?”

This was the third time Seiryū had encountered Madara.

Each time, the opponent’s power had increased.

Although he had not been standing still and his strength was also growing, Madara’s strength was increasing as well.

It really made Seiryū feel somewhat troubled.

”This guy’s strength seems to be gradually returning to its peak. Are you sure you can handle him?”

Tsunade’s expression was serious. She did not dare to be careless.

The opponent was no longer merely suspected of being Madara.

He was that former Asura of the Shinobi World, Madara!

She naturally realized that Madara’s strength was greater than last time.

It was as if he was gradually returning to his peak.

And this was only a special puppet controlled by the opponent, not his true body.

Seiryū licked his lips, his fighting spirit rising even higher. ”Hard to say. Unless I open the Eighth Gate, he is really hard to deal with.”

”The Perfect Susanoo is still very difficult to deal with, and there is also Nagato, who possesses the Rinnegan.”

Madara plus Nagato with the Rinnegan.

Both of their strengths were extremely powerful.

Seiryū did not dare to say he could win.

Hearing this, Tsunade’s heart tightened, and she quickly warned him, ”Put away that thought. You absolutely cannot use the final Gate of Death!”

She knew that once this brat went crazy, he could do anything.

Opening the Eight Inner Gates Formation, was this kid tired of living?

”I know, I know.”

Seiryū waved his hand dismissively.

Regarding opening the Eight Inner Gates Formation, he actually did not feel that much fear.

Instead, he felt a sense of eagerness.

With Kaidō and Creation Rebirth, he felt that he should not die even if he opened the Eight Gates.

At most, he would be seriously injured for a while.

In the original story, Guy, who opened the Eight Inner Gates Formation and kicked out Night Guy, did not die either.

He only lost a leg.

As long as one had superior medical methods, the fatal burden of the Eight Gates could be avoided!

Of course.

It was not yet time for ”desperation,” and since it was wartime.

If he were seriously injured after opening the Eight Gates, who knew what complications might arise?

The risk was too great.

Seiryū did not want to try it easily.

Anyway, he had the Flying Thunder God Technique. If he could not beat them, he could run!

”Don’t brush me off!”

Tsunade’s tone deepened.

Staring at Seiryū, her tone was very firm. ”If you are not their match, then use the Flying Thunder God Technique to leave!”

”Don’t worry, I’ll see if I can find a way to break the Genjutsu on Nagato. That way, not only will he stop being an enemy, he might even become our helper.”

Seiryū responded, his gaze turning to Nagato over there.

Nagato was only being influenced in his cognition and judgment by the Genjutsu. He was not part of Madara’s group.

As long as the Genjutsu on him could be broken.

Nagato would not only stop being an enemy, but would also become a helper.

This had been Seiryū’s original idea.

As a Genjutsu expert, Seiryū naturally knew how to dispel Genjutsu.

However, he needed to understand the Genjutsu, which meant he needed some time.

’Whoosh!’

As they spoke, a roaring fireball smashed down from above.

Seiryū took Tsunade and instantly shifted positions, appearing in another location.

Tsunade spoke extremely fast. ”What do you need me to do? I can’t stop Madara on my own.”

Seiryū glanced sideways at Tsunade and pouted. ”I wasn’t counting on you. Just wait for an opportunity.”

”Originally, I only wanted you to come over and cause trouble for Orochimaru. I didn’t expect Madara to come so quickly.”

Tsunade: ”.”

This brat was getting more and more excessive!

Did he really think that because his strength surpassed hers, he could walk all over her and order her around?

So disrespectful!

”Hey, Orochimaru, you heard it too, right? This guy said he wants to kill everyone here. Being targeted by the Asura of the Shinobi World, Madara, aren’t you panicking? If you are, help me out!”

Without looking at Tsunade’s expression, Seiryū looked toward Orochimaru.

He revealed a friendly smile. ”Let my great-grandfather step in and block Madara for a while. Afterward, I can give you some compensation.”

”You must be very short on money, right?”

”Research requires money. That’s the reason you cooperated with Hanzō, isn’t it?”

”When Tsunade becomes the Fourth Hokage and I become the Hokage Assistant, I will be very rich in the future!”

Seiryū intended to win Orochimaru over first.

Hashirama, who had opened Sage Mode, might not be at his peak as he was when alive, and might not necessarily have reached the level he showed in the original Fourth Shinobi World War.

However, blocking Madara for a while was feasible!

”Do you think I will help you, an enemy? Besides, the one he wants to kill more is not me, but you.”

Orochimaru chuckled, his golden vertical pupils flashing with a hint of sharpness.

He had the weakest strength on this battlefield.

However, he was the user of Impure World Reincarnation and could control Hashirama, so he was not too worried about his own safety.

Self-preservation should not be a problem!

As for being targeted by Madara?

There was some risk, but there was no need to be too nervous.

It was very difficult for a shinobi to be found if they wanted to hide.

At least he had the confidence that if he did not appear, no one in the Shinobi World could find his exact location!

Seiryū said slowly, ”Then let’s make another proposal. Leave here and don’t interfere in our battle. How about that?”

Orochimaru was not the point.

The point was Hashirama, who was controlled by Orochimaru!

If he were fighting Madara and Nagato, and Hashirama suddenly struck.

That would also be a problem!

”Heh.”

Orochimaru only gave a light laugh and said in a playful tone, ”Let me consider it.”

’Boom!’

The chakra blade slashed down, and the pulling force of Banshō Ten’in acted on him. With a thought, Seiryū took Tsunade and dodged the attack again.

Amid the roar, the earth at their original location collapsed, and a cut extended into the distance.

”Hehehe, my patience is limited, Orochimaru.”

Appearing closer to Orochimaru, Seiryū looked over, a trace of ferocious light appearing in his eyes.

He grinned, revealing a somewhat unstable smile. ”If you continue to stay here, I might as well go all out on you!”

”After all, I have mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique. Their attacks are hard to hit me. I won’t do anything else but target you!”

”Let’s see if my great-grandfather can protect you from me right now.”

”Want to try it?”

A threat!

These words were full of threats!

If he only targeted Orochimaru, even if Hashirama at his peak were here, he might not necessarily be able to protect Orochimaru’s life.

The Flying Thunder God Technique was not something to be trifled with!

Listening to Seiryū’s threat and seeing that unstable smile, for some reason, a strong sense of crisis surged in Orochimaru’s heart.

It was as if he had been targeted by a Shinigami.

”You are indeed very dangerous, Seiryū-kun.”

Orochimaru restrained his smile, his expression somewhat uncertain.

The opponent’s expression and manner were exactly like those of a madman!

He had almost forgotten.

This guy was mentally ill, the kind even Tsunade could not cure.

If he got too agitated, he could do anything.

He had to weigh such a threat.

”One more word, and I’ll force open the Eight Gates to kill you!!”

The unstable smile on Seiryū’s face grew more intense as he spat out the cold words.

As he spoke, the chakra fluctuations on his body increased.

It was as if he was about to break through the final gate of the Eight Inner Gates at his heart!

This was a threat.

It was also stating a fact!

He really could do such a thing!

Seeing this, Orochimaru’s face turned very ugly, and the premonition of danger grew stronger.

The Gate of Death, which meant certain death upon opening. Did the opponent really dare to use it?

But he did not dare to gamble, and there was no need to gamble with his own life.

The opponent’s expression did not look like he was only making a threat. He really dared to open the Eight Inner Gates Formation and go down with him!

Crazy!

A lunatic!

A reckless, mentally unstable madman!

His impression and perception of Seiryū had deepened a little more.

Without a word, Orochimaru took one last look at Seiryū and scanned the others at the scene.

Then his figure flashed and disappeared, leaving the place.

There was no need to argue with a madman.

And he might lose his own life.

There might be chances in the future!

Through this battle, he also realized something.

Although he had improved Impure World Reincarnation, it was not perfect.

There was still great potential to tap into with Impure World Reincarnation. Just speaking of Hashirama, this should not be the opponent’s peak strength from when he was alive.

Impure World Reincarnation could still be improved!!

”Why does this kid feel even more extreme than the Uchiha? This unstable expression is exactly the same. Isn’t this kid from the Uzumaki Clan?”

Tobirama, who was still sealed in place, looked at the unstable Seiryū and could not help but frown slightly.

Madness, instability, extremism.

This was too similar to the Uchiha Clan, whose dark side was amplified by the Sharingan!

It was even worse!

Not far away, Hashirama also opened his mouth, and in the end, he only said these words. ”This grandson-in-law of ours seems to be quite extraordinary, but also a bit off.”

The expression this grandson-in-law was showing right now did not look like something a normal person should have!

Even he felt wary looking at it.

A powerful madman, this kind of person was the most dangerous!

As they spoke, the two seemed to notice something, and their eyes narrowed slightly.

Impure World Reincarnation had been undone!

”Sorry for the trouble.”

Tobirama said to Tsunade and Seiryū, ”Find some time to study the Impure World Reincarnation I left behind. I don’t want to be summoned again in the future and made into an enemy of Konoha!”

Hashirama also spoke. ”Tsunade, Seiryū, that guy named Orochimaru has already undone Impure World Reincarnation. We are leaving.”

”Also, Madara’s goal is too crazy. You absolutely cannot let him succeed. I’ll leave it to you!”

’Buzz.’

The next moment, their bodies began to crack, and countless fragments peeled off from them.

Finally, only two dead sacrifices remained.

Judging by the forehead protectors on them, they were shinobi from Amegakure.

”Stop me? Hashirama, you are indeed as naive as before.”

Madara, standing at the center of the Susanoo’s brow, looked at the sacrifice below that used to be Hashirama and only spat out those words coldly.

Then he looked at Tsunade and Seiryū, his eyes cold and his tone icy. ”No one can stop me from doing what I want to do. I am Madara!!”

Meanwhile.

Deep underground somewhere in the Shinobi World.

Madara’s true body had the Mangekyō Sharingan spinning in his eyes, and he muttered to himself, ”The White Zetsu puppet cannot completely suppress that kid. I can only let Nagato obtain stronger chakra and Dōjutsu power, and use a stronger Rinnegan technique!”

At this moment, the Mangekyō Sharingan in Madara’s eye sockets.

Compared to when they were first transplanted, the color of this pair of Mangekyō Sharingan had become even deeper.

This was the chakra of ”Satori” from the Box of Ultimate Bliss affecting this pair of Mangekyō Sharingan!

Its Dōjutsu power was already no weaker than the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan!

’Buzz!’

As the chakra inside the Gedō Statue was absorbed by Madara’s Kaiten-shin and transported into his body through the ”oxygen tube” connected to his back.

The chakra fluctuations on Madara’s body increased at this moment!

And through the restrictions in the Rinnegan and the power of Gyō Tenshin, Madara transmitted his own chakra and Dōjutsu power into the body of Nagato, who was far away in the Land of Rain.

This not only deepened the influence of the Genjutsu on Nagato, but also made Nagato’s use of the Rinnegan smoother!

The change happened very quickly on Nagato’s side.

’Boom!’

On the battlefield, the chakra fluctuations around Nagato increased again.

His Rinnegan flickered slightly, and he took a deep breath, brought his hands together, and whispered, ”Chibaku Tensei!!”

The words fell.

Another powerful Rinnegan technique was unleashed by Nagato at that moment!

A black sphere emitting a faint glow left his palm and shot into midair!

’Buzz, buzz, buzz.’

The next moment, the black ball bloomed with white light, and then an invisible gravitational force suddenly appeared, acting on a large area around it.

It seemed as if gravity had lost its effect at that moment.

Heaven and earth seemed to overturn.

The black ball in the sky released a terrifying pulling force, dragging everything below upward.

The earth collapsed with ’boom, boom, boom’ sounds, and boulders were pulled out from underground, flying toward the location of the black ball high in the sky.

”Cero Oscuras!”

Just a moment after Nagato made his move, Seiryū also acted instantly.

The terror of Chibaku Tensei had already been vividly demonstrated in the original story.

Even the progenitor of chakra, the Rabbit Goddess, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, was defeated by this kind of technique!

If it were allowed to take shape, the threat would be significant!

Fortunately, it had a weakness, and Seiryū knew this weakness!

Red and blue chakra had already finished condensing at his fingertips, and a deep purple light that illuminated the world bloomed from Seiryū’s fingertips.

’Chi.’

Then a light sound, like the sound of a laser piercing the air, rang out.

The core of Chibaku Tensei high in the sky had not yet fully formed when it was completely pierced by Cero Oscuras.

’Rumble!’

An explosion. The core of Chibaku Tensei was broken, and the power contained within it erupted instantly.

The shockwave whistled and swept down from high in the sky, covering a large area around them.

”Hmm? He knew the weakness instantly?”

Standing at the center of the Susanoo’s brow and ignoring the sky-filling shockwave, Madara narrowed his eyes, frowned, and revealed a look of bewilderment. ”This kind of thing.”

He actually instantly saw through the weakness of Chibaku Tensei and shattered its core?

And he clearly saw it.

The moment after Nagato cast Chibaku Tensei, the opponent had already responded.

It was as if he had long known of the existence of Chibaku Tensei and had made the most correct response!

Directly eliminating the threat of this technique!!

Facing an unprecedented technique, how could he make such a correct response so quickly?

This was too unreasonable!

(To be continued.)
