The Captain's Dirty Little Secret

Chapter 239: Chapter 239 - Liked It (R)

By the time Roxie’s teeth reopened the cut on his lip, Zac had already quit pretending this was only a kiss.

Blood hit his tongue, sharp and warm, and he knew he should back off before they turned another fight into something they could hide under their hands.

He kissed her harder instead.

He caught her lower lip between his teeth and bit until she made that low sound into his mouth.

Her fingers dug into the back of his neck, and her nails dragged over the old scratches hard enough to put new ones beside them. The sting went straight through him.

His clothes were still at Dylan’s. His charger was still at Dylan’s.

The cash from the quarterback session was still pressed against his hip like one more thing he had hidden from her, but Roxie held him like he had finally picked her over leaving, and Zac let her believe it because he wanted the way she held him more than he wanted the truth.

He pinned her against the counter too fast and too hard.

Anger was in it, and he knew anger was in it, but his body still pressed closer, letting her feel exactly how bad he wanted her.

Roxie broke away to breathe, her lips red and his blood at the corner of her mouth. She looked pissed, flushed, and ready to bite him again just to prove she could.

Zac groaned as he went after her mouth. His hand slid from her waist to the side of her throat, his thumb resting under her jaw where it had earlier, but his grip stayed loose this time.

He hated that he had to think about the pressure of his own hand on her, hated that touching her had become something he had to control like he was a problem waiting to happen.

Roxie noticed. Her eyes dropped to his fingers, then lifted to his face. Then she kissed him again, and that was all it took.

Zac held her there and kissed her slower, deeper, tasting the fight on her tongue.

Her hips rolled against him once, like her body had done it before she could stop herself, and his whole body tightened.

He dragged his hips against her, and when she gasped into his mouth, the sound fed something ugly in him.

Ethan was still in his head. Ethan outside the Grill. Ethan seeing her cry. Ethan getting her apology. Ethan being the guy she ran to because Zac had been late for a few fucking minutes.

Zac wanted him gone.

He wanted Roxie so close there was no room left in her head for anyone else. He knew that was fucked up, but he kept going.

Roxie bit his lip again, sharper this time, and Zac swore into her mouth.

Pain hit, heat hit, and the blood, her nails, his hands on her, and the jealousy twisting in his gut all mixed together until stopping felt like the worst idea in the room.

His hands slid down to her ass, and he lifted her just enough for her legs to lock around his hips. She did it without waiting, ankles crossing behind him, arms tight around his neck.

”Fuck, Roxie.” He groaned in her mouth, feeling her heat on him.

The counter pressed into the backs of her thighs. Zac knew it had to hurt a little, but he kept her there because Roxie was holding him like she wanted the same thing.

She yanked his hair, and his hips moved again, slower this time, grinding into her so she could feel what she was doing to him. Her thighs tightened around his waist, and her mouth went messy against his.

She was angry too. Good. Let her be angry. Let her hate those girls at Dylan’s the way he hated Ethan standing near her.

He gripped her ass and pulled her into the next grind.

She moaned his name, and the sound almost broke him right there. Zac dragged his mouth down her throat and scraped his teeth over her skin. Roxie shivered, twisting her fingers harder in his hair as her voice shook around his name again.

He lifted his head and looked at her. Her eyes were dark, her mouth swollen, his blood still on her lips. Her hands stayed locked on him like she would drag him back if he tried to leave. She looked like she wanted him to go too far and then blame him after.

The worst part was, he wanted that too.

He kissed her again because kissing always worked faster than talking. His hand slid under her shirt, and her skin was hot under his palm. His thumb moved over the edge of her ribs, making her breath catch, and his hand climbed until it reached the bottom of her bra.

Her wrist flashed in his head. Her sleeve pulled down like she was hiding the proof for both of them.

Then Roxie rolled against him again, and the memory went quiet.

Zac pushed her shirt and open jacket higher until her breast filled his hand.

Her mouth parted when his thumb brushed her nipple, and he looked down, his stomach going tight at the sight of her under the kitchen light.

Her skin was pale, freckles scattered across the curve of her breast, her nipple red and tight against his thumb.

She’s beautiful. So fucking beautiful.

After the fight, after the way she had looked when his hand held her jaw, seeing her like this made him stupid.

He wanted her that badly.

He pushed the fabric higher and lowered his mouth, dragging his tongue over her nipple before sucking it between his lips. Roxie’s fingers fisted his shirt while her other hand slid down his side, over his stomach, lower, until her knuckles brushed the waistband of his jeans.

Zac groaned against her breast because that near touch almost did it.

His free hand moved to her thigh and slid up through her leggings, slow at first, feeling her muscle jump under his palm. He knew this line.

She could kiss him like she wanted him to break, let him press between her legs, let him touch her breasts until she shook, then freeze the moment his hand got too close to where she was most exposed.

That should have made him stop.

His fingers kept moving.

He groaned on her nipple, feeling her heat for the first time in his palms.

Roxie’s hand shot down and caught his wrist. She shoved his palm flat against the top of her mound, and the pressure of her own hand pinning him there almost finished him.

”Fuck,” she hissed, sharp and shaky.

His cock jerked against his jeans so hard it hurt. He pulled his mouth from her breast and sucked in air, feeling how hot she was under his hand, how close. He pressed one finger lower over the seam of her leggings, and Roxie flinched as a moan broke out of her.

Her eyes locked on his, full of pleasure, fear, and want all at once.

That look destroyed him.

Zac yanked his hand away before he did something stupid. He grabbed her hips and kissed her hard enough to taste blood on both of them. All the pressure in his body had to go somewhere, and Roxie kissed him back like she wanted every bit of it.

He lifted her off the counter and carried her through the bungalow with her still wrapped around him. Her mouth kept finding his, and her hands kept pulling him closer. The bedroom door was open, and he kicked it wider before laying her on the bed.

The mattress dipped under them. Roxie looked wrecked, red hair across the pillow, cheeks flushed, eyes still bright from the fight. Then Zac saw the fear under it, small but real, in the way her fingers tightened on his shoulders.

That should have been the line.

Roxie pulled him down by his shirt, and Zac went.

He dropped between her thighs and kissed her hard. His hips settled against hers, and the first press made her moan into his ear.

That sound snapped the last good part of him loose. He needed it again. Needed her shaking under him. Needed proof she still wanted him after all the lying, grabbing, yelling, and bleeding. Needed proof Ethan had nothing on this.

He pushed up on one forearm and looked between them. Her leggings clung to her, the fabric between her thighs darker where she pressed against him. Every drag of his jeans made her hips lift like her body was answering him before she could think.

Zac ground down once, slow and hard, his jaw clenching as the image hit him too clearly. Roxie bare under him.

His cock pushing into her for the first time. Her legs around him, her hands on him, no clothes, no space, no way to pretend it was small.

He wanted it so badly he could barely breathe.

”Zac,” she moaned, his name breaking in the middle.

His hand moved down her ribs and gripped her waist. He held her there and moved again, pushing her into the bed while her legs tightened around him.

Harder than he like but lust have taken over his brain.

She liked it. He knew she liked it, and that was the part that messed with his head. She liked the roughness he kept hating afterward.

Worst, he liked that she liked it.
