The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1041: Chapter 1041: Reduced to a Cripple

According to what Xiang Ming said, yesterday after talking with Lin Tian, he went to find the elder and then took some medicinal herbs to Xu Beishan’s home.

But unexpectedly, Xu Xichao was also there.

Xu Xichao was originally hot-tempered, and on top of that, Xu Nanhai was beaten by Lin Tian to the point where he was barely breathing, so naturally, he wasn’t going to be polite. He picked up a stick and chased Xiang Ming and the elder out.

Then he slammed the Xu Family’s door shut, leaving the two of them outside.

Logically speaking, the elder is a Golden Core master, even a hundred Xu Xichaos couldn’t chase him away.

But who knew, the elder was in a strange mood, unwilling to reveal his identity or take action, he just said to Xiang Ming: ”Kid, you entered my tutelage, the journey on the martial path is tough, and I won’t be able to help you with everything. If you want to overcome future challenges, start from here.”

”What?” Xiang Ming widened his eyes, tugged at his master’s sleeve, and said somewhat aggrieved: ”How can you be a master like this? You just let me practice horse stance and nothing else, now you want me to face my second uncle, who’s a master! I can’t beat him!”

The elder crossed his arms and said coolly: ”If you can’t beat him, use your brain to come up with a plan. Unless absolutely necessary, I won’t help.”

”That’s just too lazy! If I had known, why did I call you here?”

”I’m your master, not your bodyguard. I’ve given you an opportunity to train, so make sure to cherish it.” The elder said, ”Besides, we came to deliver medicine as guests, it’s unreasonable to start a fight with the host, is it? My master sent us here to investigate; if I take action, do you think we can still gather information?”

”You... you...” Xiang Ming pointed at the elder, his baby fat quivering with anger.

”Pointing at people is impolite, and pointing at your teacher is even more disrespectful. If you haven’t practiced fifty sets of Five Elements Fist tonight, you can’t go to sleep.”

Xiang Ming withdrew his hand sulkily, grumbling: ”Such a master is better off without!”

”You served tea, paid your respects, bowed, listened to lectures, can you still regret it? I am treating you as a closed-door disciple, carving you like an unpolished gem, you should be grateful, not complaining so much.”

Just as the two were arguing, the closed door opened again.

The person who opened the door wasn’t Xu Xichao, but Xu Beishan!

However, Xu Beishan didn’t have his usual demeanor at the moment; instead, he seemed like a paraplegic, sitting in a wheelchair.

”Hey, why are you in a wheelchair? Are you injured?” Xiang Ming asked curiously, his eyes wide open, secretly laughing in his heart.

Xu Beishan naturally wouldn’t bother with this little brat, he just smiled faintly: ”Isn’t it perfect, you came to deliver medicine.”

”My master said my older cousin was injured, so I came to deliver medicine for her.” Xiang Ming said.

”I know, alright, come in.” After saying this, Xu Beishan gave the elder a vigilant look.

A few nights ago, he witnessed those around the elder—they were as fast as Lin Tian, and baffling. With such a person, it was better not to provoke them.

If not for that, Xu Beishan wouldn’t have let them in.

Seeing these two, Xu Xichao got annoyed, but since his older brother opened the door for them he couldn’t do anything, he just snorted heavily and left, out of sight, out of mind.

Xu Beishan led the two to the living room and asked the elder’s name.

”Martial Sect.” The elder replied nonchalantly.

Xu Beishan made a mental note, planning to have someone investigate later.

People call him the elder; those who call him Martial Sect are very few, so it’s normal for Xu Beishan not to know.

The three were in the living room drinking excellent tea, but there wasn’t much to talk about. The other party didn’t seem to have any intention of leaving, and naturally Xu Beishan couldn’t drive them away.

Xiang Ming suddenly said: ”Uncle, I brought all this medicine during the journey, I just want to see my older cousin, would you take me to see her?”

Xu Beishan glanced at Xiang Ming, knowing in his heart that this kid had never gotten along with his branch of the family. His sudden friendliness was likely Lin Tian’s idea.

What does it mean? Lin Tian had beaten him so badly and then sent someone to visit?

Reconciliation? The feud has already started; without blood for blood, it’s impossible to avoid enmity.

If it’s not reconciliation, then it must be investigation, Lin Tian wants to put Nanhai in a deadly situation!

”Fine! I’ll take you to see, but your cousin is weak now, don’t make a fuss.” Xu Beishan said.

”Hehe, don’t worry.” Xiang Ming agreed wholeheartedly.

A disciple was pushing Xu Beishan, leading the way ahead. Xiang Ming and the elder followed behind, soon arriving at a room with poor ventilation.

In the room on the bed lay the prematurely aged Xu Nanhai.

Xiang Ming remembered the last time he saw this strange old woman, she seemed more like a ghost than a person, it was terribly creepy.

But this time, the one lying on the bed, was clearly a cripple.

Due to the blanket, Xiang Ming couldn’t see her injuries, but he could see her face, covered with a thick layer of pale white, only her eyes, nose, mouth, and ears were visible, with an oxygen tank, breathing out more than in, not a human appearance at all.

Xu Beishan sat in his wheelchair, hanging his head, unable to bring himself to look at Nanhai’s injuries. He only said softly: ”She got punched twice in the face, dislocated jaw, the internal organs are seriously injured, bones broken in several places. We used a lot of medicine and called both Chinese and Western doctors in recent days, barely saving her life.”

The elder stood with his hands behind his back, his eyesight far superior to Xiang Ming’s, yet he couldn’t find anything wrong with Xu Beishan’s words. Most importantly, the one who struck was Lin Tian, his murderous demeanor that night, not directly killing Xu Nanhai but leaving her with a breath, already gave enough face to Xu Beishan.

”Unbelievable, that’s too tragic.” Xiang Ming exclaimed.

”Tragic?” Xu Beishan glanced at his sister, who was barely breathing on the bed, and said in a tone of regret: ”She brought it upon herself.”

The elder suddenly asked: ”The day you came to my master to ask for the Ancestor Returning Elixir, was it to give to her?”

Xu Beishan nodded, ”Yes, my sister has fox-like eyes but lacks seductive physique, it’s tormenting her. If her bloodline could awaken, the ending wouldn’t be like this, alas~”

Suddenly, Xu Beishan realized something and asked in surprise: ”Your master is Lin Tian?”

This was not the first time the elder heard this question from others, but he still nodded, not saying much.

”It’s getting late, it’s best we don’t disturb anymore. Xiang Ming, leave the medicine. We should be going back.” The elder said, ”You have mobility issues, no need to escort us, I know the way.”
