The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1038: Chapter 1038: Sending a Small Fry to the Xu Family

”I’m your brother-in-law, what’s wrong with holding your sister’s hand?” Lin Tian said with a smile.

”Hmph!” Xiang Ming was disgruntled, but with his ear in this big lecher’s hand, he couldn’t resist.

Lin Tian released Xiang Ming’s ear and asked, ”Didn’t you say before? We’re both competing fairly, if you have the ability to win your sister over, I definitely wouldn’t say anything about you holding her hand.”

Xiang Ming let out another heavy hum, if I could win her over, why would I waste words with you?

Lin Tian chuckled, not arguing with the kid, and simply said, ”You’re just in time, Master wants to ask you some questions.”

”What?” Xiang Ming’s face was full of curiosity.

”These past few days, have people from your uncle’s family come to cause trouble?” Lin Tian asked.

Although Lin Tian didn’t interact much with Xu Beishan, he knew the guy’s stubborn temperament, having been beaten up so badly by him, how could he bear it?

Xiang Ming thought for a moment and said, ”My uncle hasn’t come to the house recently, as for whether they’ve caused any trouble otherwise, I wouldn’t know.”

Trouble otherwise? Lin Tian quickly understood; the kid’s meaning was likely that Xu Beishan might be plotting something in secret.

After pondering for a while, Lin Tian said again, ”I have another important task for you, it depends if you can complete it.”

”Important? How important?” Xiang Ming began to fantasize, hearing those words made it interesting.

”Do you like adventure?”

”I like it.”

”Alright then.” Lin Tian smiled brightly, ”Go to your uncle’s house and see what your big uncle’s attitude is.”

”No way!” Xiang Ming responded loudly almost without thinking.

Kidding, he wouldn’t agree to such a thing; going to Xu Beishan’s house is like asking to die.

”Why?” Lin Tian asked.

”I usually call them big bad guys, if I go now without my aunt protecting me, who knows how bad it could be, either a swollen face or a pinched swollen butt when I come back.” Xiang Ming said, feeling aggrieved.

Lin Tian laughed, ”What if I let your master go with you? With him protecting you, no one would dare bully you.”

”Well... that could work.” Xiang Ming blinked at Lin Tian, ”But, what’s in it for me?”

Look, this kid is clearly a talent for business, asking for benefits like this.

”Benefits?” Lin Tian chuckled, ”Did you see the handprint on your sister’s face the other day? It was from Xu Beishan’s sister. Now you still want benefits?”

Xiang Ming’s tone suddenly became deep, raising his crimson-faced baby cheeks and asking, ”Really?”

”Of course it’s true, but I avenged your sister. The only issue is I was quite heavy-handed, who knows if they might harbor resentment and want revenge, which is why I’m asking you to scout. If you’re too scared, then forget it.”

”Who says I’m scared? Stop trying to egg me on! I’ll go, fine!” Xiang Ming said loudly, then stormed into the yard, clearly intending to take his master on a visit to Xu Beishan’s house.

”Wait!” Lin Tian stopped him, saying, ”Take some medicine for internal injuries with you.”

”Why? Are you planning to have my master beat them up and then give them medicine to heal? That’s just despicable!” Xiang Ming said.

Lin Tian rolled his eyes, speaking irritably, ”You can’t go empty-handed, can you? There needs to be a valid reason. Also, you’d better check on the situation with Xu Nanhai.”

”Xu Nanhai?” Xiang Ming repeated the name, then jumped in anger, ”No way! My aunt’s eyes are too scary, I could have nightmares for days. You still want me to see her?”

Lin Tian leaned against a pillar, saying, ”You can’t be scared, that old hag’s bedridden now and can’t scare you. Besides, she’s the one who hit your sister.”

Xiang Ming’s two pitch-black eyes darted around, concocting who knows what mischievous idea, loudly agreeing. Then he said, ”Master... if I make a contribution this time, can you secretly teach me some useful cultivation techniques? Before I performed the kowtow ceremony and became a disciple, my master said he taught me the Wind-Pushing Palm, but he’s been bullshitting me, he just makes me practice horse stance every day!”

”No problem.” Lin Tian agreed without hesitation.

”Really?”

”I assure you on my honor!”

”Alright, I’ll trust you this time!”

...

After drinking two large bowls of millet porridge and taking a hot bath, he finally snuggled up with a soft, fragrant beauty and slept until the sun was high in the sky.

Lin Tian’s weary body also recovered considerably, but when he awoke, the little fox spirit in his arms had vanished, leaving only the fragrance on the sheets. She probably slipped away before he woke up fearing he’d do something naughty.

After getting dressed and freshening up, Lin Tian finally left the room.

Lin Tian headed to the kitchen, hoping to find something to eat. Before he reached the kitchen, he bumped into Xv Baiping.

”Auntie, morning.” Lin Tian greeted her with a smile.

”Morning? It’s almost noon.” Xv Baiping laughed, ”Hungry, aren’t you? Come with me, I made you medicinal soup. Ruyan’s better now, you can’t tire yourself out.”

”Thank you, Auntie.” Lin Tian said.

”Why say such polite words among family?”

Shrimp and quail egg soup. In addition to the main ingredients, star-moon grass and vermilion cassia leaves, two costly and rare herbs were added, enhancing rather than overpowering the original aroma.

A ravenous Lin Tian naturally wasn’t shy, and polished it off quickly. He then let out a satisfied sigh and gave Xv Baiping a thumbs up, praising, ”Delicious!”

It truly was delicious... this cooking skill... far outmatched Yan Xinrou by several levels.

Thinking about Yan Xinrou’s Ten-Complete Great Replenishing Soup, Lin Tian found it unbearable.

”If it’s not enough, shall I make you another pot?” Xv Baiping asked with a smile.

Lin Tian quickly waved his hand, ”No need, no need, that’s plenty. My stomach is already round. I was so hungry that I forgot to ask, how’s Ruyan and uncle’s health now?”

Lin Tian had complete confidence in his medical skill. He could judge their condition by the smile on Xv Baiping’s face.

If not, Lin Tian couldn’t eat so heartily.

”Haha, your uncle’s doing well, your treatments really worked wonders. As for Ruyan, I’ve examined her several times, even though she’s still weak, she woke once this morning and is sleeping again now.” Xv Baiping said.

Lin Tian’s mouth curled into a slight smile; everything had gone as expected.

”That’s pretty good already; recovering takes gradual progress, can’t rush it.” Lin Tian stood up from his chair, saying, ”I’ll go check with uncle’s recovery now, if it’s favorable, we can proceed with the next stage of treatment.”
