The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1039: Chapter 1039: Guided by Spiritual Qi

Seeing Xu Shaohui again, he still hadn’t changed much, with his skinny frame and pale cheeks.

It’s only been three days, even with the best medication and treatment, not much effect is noticeable.

Illness comes like a mountain collapse, leaves like silk threads pulled away.

However, the food buildup in the stomach and internal toxins have mostly been cleaned out, and the heat has subsided, with other minor issues improved.

Lin Tian checked Xu Shaohui’s pulse; there were many issues, but compared to a few days ago, it’s much better.

”You can use those two medicines now,” Lin Tian said softly.

”Dragon Scale Powder and Phoenix Tail Feather?” Xv Baiping asked.

Lin Tian nodded.

”Wait a moment.” After speaking, Xv Baiping went to a cabinet, took out a book with a yellowing cover and even missing corners.

Clearly, this was an ancient book passed down for ages, but not preserved very well.

Xv Baiping brought the ancient book over, opened a page, and handed it to Lin Tian.

”This was the remedy my husband used back then, exhausting all his strength and vital blood to save me,” Xv Baiping said with a somber expression. ”The next page has a prescription using Phoenix Tail Feather and Dragon Scale Powder as main ingredients, other medicines are ready, just missing those two main ones.”

Lin Tian briefly glanced at it; it matched roughly what Xv Baiping said, but it didn’t address how to extract vital blood.

”Did uncle not use the method written here when extracting vital blood?” Lin Tian asked.

Xv Baiping shook her head, ”He did not.”

”Alright, let’s prepare the medicine according to this prescription then. I’ll prepare now,” Lin Tian said with a smile, ”We’ll have a fierce battle soon.”

”Okay, I’ll decoct the medicine now.” After saying that, Xv Baiping left the room.

After Xv Baiping left, Lin Tian first massaged Xu Shaohui’s whole body, again smoothing the meridians before taking out the Emperor Spirit Divine Needle and adjusted Xu Shaohui’s condition to the best.

Originally, Lin Tian intended to give Xu Shaohui a Meridian Passage Elixir, but its toxicity was also intense, combined with Dragon Scale Powder and Phoenix Tail Feather, Xu Shaohui’s body might not handle it.

Miaoqiu had said that saving Xu Shaohui required finding someone whose inner strength surpassed the Xu Family’s Spiritual Qi, only then would there be a chance.

The Xu Family already practiced Spiritual Qi; although not as pure as Lin Tian’s, among the twelve families, their inner strength was most unique.

It took the Xu Family five years of painstaking search to finally find Lin Tian.

In fact, the method was to use Lin Tian’s Spiritual Qi as the guide, supplemented by medical herbs.

While the medicine was still decocting, Lin Tian flipped through the ancient book; even though it was all ancient texts, it was more niche compared to modern ones, but could it be compared with ”Tyrant Emperor’s Record”?

Seeing how ’aged’ this ancient book seemed, Lin Tian expected good things inside.

But upon looking, found nothing but nonsense, filled with dubious methods. Xv Baiping likely kept it because it contained a way to save her husband.

After about half an hour, Miaoqiu and Xv Baiping returned to the room carrying a bowl of medicine.

Xu Shaohui’s illness required gradual treatment, so the medicine was only one bowl at a time; there were two remaining courses.

This bowl of medicine was light red, resembling soup made with red mushrooms, and had a sweet aroma.

”How much medicine is left?” Lin Tian inquired.

”There’s quite a lot, absolutely enough,” Miaoqiu replied.

”Make sure to save some for Ruyan too; she should drink a little as well,” Lin Tian advised.

”We already saved it for her,” Miaoqiu said as she sat by the bed, feeding Xu Shaohui spoonfuls of the medicinal soup.

The origin of this prescription was that dubious book Lin Tian read earlier; whether it works could not be determined, only by letting Xu Shaohui drink it could its efficacy be seen.

The belief in this prescription stemmed from the previous method of using vital blood being effective. Nevertheless, Xv Baiping couldn’t help worrying, fearing the medicine might not have the miraculous effect as the dubious book claimed, if that’s the case, Xu Shaohui might be truly doomed!

Soon, the entire bowl of medicine went into Xu Shaohui’s stomach.

Actually, Dragon Scale Powder and Phoenix Tail Feather are more suitable to be refined into pills, that way the effect can be fully activated without wasting a bit.

But brewing them into a medicinal soup, although not as potent, was just right for Xu Shaohui’s body to accept and facilitated Lin Tian’s Spiritual Qi guiding.

Suddenly, Xv Baiping covered her mouth in shock: ”This... Shaohui’s skin, why is it turning red?”

Lin Tian looked at the sound, sure enough, Xu Shaohui’s skin had turned red, with a bizarre hue... like cooked braised pork.

”Without my Spiritual Qi, the medicinal effect cannot manifest fully and rampages internally. You all leave first, don’t let anyone disturb me,” Lin Tian said.

”Then I’ll leave it to you.” After speaking, Xv Baiping pulled Miaoqiu outside the room.

Lin Tian first helped Xu Shaohui sit up beside the bed, then removed his top, revealing his flat belly and bony frame.

Then, Lin Tian took off his shoes and with a flip sat cross-legged in front of Xu Shaohui, extending his right hand to press on Xu Shaohui’s Sea of Qi.

Activating the Heart Method from ”Tyrant Emperor’s Record,” Spiritual Qi continuously flowed through the pores, penetrating Xu Shaohui’s Sea of Qi.

Sending Spiritual Qi directly into another’s Sea of Qi when not of the same origin, was extremely dangerous.

Because two different types of Spiritual Qi could collide violently, at best destroying the Sea of Qi, at worst causing partial disability or threatening life.

Luckily, Lin Tian’s Spiritual Qi was the purest Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi; aside from removing impurities, there was no complex procedure, its rejection was minimal when transmitting into another’s Sea of Qi.

Moreover, Xu Shaohui’s Sea of Qi was empty; bedridden for five years, he barely could maintain himself, it would be strange if his Sea of Qi was not withered.

Starting at Xu Shaohui’s Sea of Qi, under Lin Tian’s guidance, the Spiritual Qi began to flow.

Circulating once along Ren and Du meridians, passing through the perineum, the anus, ascending the spine via Du meridian through Tailbone Gate, Vertebra Hole, and Jade Pillow Gaps, reaching the top of the head’s Mud Pill, descending via both ears to Yingxiang, bridging over the Magpie Bridge, connecting with Ren meridian, descending through the chest and abdomen back to Dantian.

This completed one Small Circuit.

The Small Circuit is also known as Hundred-Day Foundation Establishment; as one matures, essence diminishes. Small Circuit allows postnatal essence to replenish, returning to prenatal essence’s state, fulfilling the purpose of the Small Circuit’s Refining Essence and Transforming Qi.

Of course, this is not the primary purpose. Lin Tian’s main goal was to accelerate the movement of Xu Shaohui’s Spiritual Qi and blood.

The soup medicine he drank earlier had already circulated throughout the body, integrating into the bloodstream.

Eventually, the blood would cycle back to the heart, then flow to the internal organs.
