The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 388: Chapter 388: A Narrow Encounter with an Old Foe

After Lin Tian left the art building, he went straight back to the dormitory.

During the time Lin Tian was not in the dorm, Meng Nan had already cleaned it up.

Don’t be fooled by his simple-minded appearance with strong limbs. He’s actually meticulous about details, otherwise, he wouldn’t be here at Kanyue City Medical University, choosing to become a doctor.

Meng Nan did a great job tidying up the dorm, even Lin Tian’s bed board was wiped clean. At the moment, he was playing League of Legends.

As for Li, he was lying on the bed with headphones on, engrossed in his copy of Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Lin Tian looked around and asked, ”Where’s Wang Sicong?”

Meng Nan was typing on the keyboard, responding without turning his head, ”He said he’s arranging tonight’s dinner and mentioned bringing two girls for each of us. Hear me clearly, two girls each, hehe.”

With that, the silly guy started laughing lecherously.

Lin Tian gave a wry smile and shook his head, thinking that guy must be quite the spendthrift.

Lin Tian greeted Li. Li smiled back at him and said, ”Our counselor just came by to notify us that freshmen need to attend a meeting in the auditorium tonight; the director has something to say. We just need to be there.”

Director? Lin Tian was momentarily stunned but quickly realized.

The director should be Liu Chan’s dad. It’s good to meet him tonight and see what kind of person he is.

Lin Tian then changed his clothes and started packing his things.

In fact, there’s not much to pack; just laying a bamboo mat on the bed board and tossing the quilt and pillow on top, then it’s all set.

After packing his stuff, Lin Tian sat idly beside Meng Nan, watching Meng Nan’s clumsy gaming skills. Sometimes, when he couldn’t stand it, he’d kindly give a bit of advice on positioning, but this guy would still lose miserably.

Meng Nan sighed and said, ”You play a round; I’ll take a smoke.”

Lin Tian nodded and sat at the computer to start a game.

Meng Nan initially thought Lin Tian’s tips on positioning were just boasting, but who knew this guy had such fast reflexes. His awareness was also very advanced, scoring two consecutive pentakills in one game.

Meng Nan was dumbfounded, staring at him and asking, ”You... are you a professional player?”

Lin Tian smiled and shook his head without speaking.

Actually, ever since he became a lower-level Martial Artist, not only did his strength and speed increase, his mental awareness also enhanced significantly. The recent game was the best proof of that.

Even Lin Tian was quite surprised himself, how his skills mysteriously improved so much. Normally, he’d have died countless times before, let alone go on a killing spree with two consecutive pentakills.

Suddenly, Lin Tian’s image in Meng Nan’s eyes grew a lot taller; he was practically a gaming god!

After that game, Meng Nan didn’t even touch the computer, instead watched Lin Tian’s godlike skills in awe.

Suddenly, Meng Nan’s phone rang, displaying: Wang Sicong.

When the call connected, Wang Sicong spoke, ”Dinner tonight at Du’s Grand Hotel First-class Fresh. When you arrive, just mention my name to the hotel staff, and someone will lead you to First-class Fresh, I’ll be there after handling some business.”

Meng Nan repeatedly agreed, then fell into a dilemma because Lin Tian’s game was only halfway through, and leaving it now might lead to a loss.

Lin Tian understood what Meng Nan was thinking and just said, ”Hold on,” before his hands sped up drastically.

Watching Lin Tian’s fingers fly over the keyboard, Meng Nan was a bit dazzled. Soon, he witnessed Lin Tian snagging kills, ambushing enemies, even diving towers for strong kills in a matter of minutes.

He rapidly acquired ten kills, causing the opposing side to crumble and surrender.

Meng Nan was stunned and managed to mumble just one sentence, ”Games can be played like this?”

Lin Tian chuckled, didn’t respond, instead, turned off the computer and got Li up from bed to head to the restaurant Wang Sicong had booked.

The restaurant Wang Sicong booked was Du’s Grand Hotel.

Upon hearing the name today, the first thought was, that’s Du Dahai’s turf. I wonder if we’ll run into familiar faces?

The three hailed a taxi at the school gate and arrived at Du’s Grand Hotel.

Standing at the hotel’s entrance, Li and Meng Nan gaped at the richly decorated grand hotel before them.

Li, a bit shocked, asked, ”How much money does Wang Sicong’s family have? Dining here might cost thousands, right?”

Lin Tian laughed, patting his shoulder, saying, ”Anyway, Wang Sicong is loaded; this amount is nothing in his eyes. We shouldn’t hold back, just order whatever we want.”

Meng Nan scratched his head, chuckled, and said nothing.

The three entered the hotel’s lobby, Li and Meng Nan appearing quite nervous; they sat obediently behind Lin Tian, using peripheral glances to take in the hotel’s luxurious décor and lavishly dressed guests, speaking in hushed tones.

Lin Tian led at the front, unaware of Li and Meng Nan’s jitters; even if he noticed, he wouldn’t say anything. This was their first time in such a place, it’s normal to feel intimidated; after a few more visits, it’ll become routine for them.

Lin Tian walked up to the reception desk, gazing at the two pleasant-looking receptionists, their chests slightly exposed, asking, ”My friend Wang Sicong has made a reservation here; could you show us the way?”

Those two receptionists first eyed the trio’s ordinary attire with disdain, though it was well hidden. As hotel employees, they wouldn’t be kept around without a basic demeanor.

But once Wang Sicong’s name was mentioned, their faces instantly lit up with flattering, sweet smiles, bowing to the three, speaking in a coquettish voice, ”Oh, it’s Mr. Wang’s friends; he informed us specially, please follow me.”

With that, one receptionist gestured for them to follow, swaying her hips seductively, leading the way.

While Lin Tian felt no affection for the receptionist, he couldn’t deny her figure was impressive, with a charming silhouette and alluring glances, plus a teasing tone, all intentionally enticing the trio.

Lin Tian managed alright, merely stealing a couple of glances. Behind him, Meng Nan and Li nearly gawked, swallowing their saliva in big gulps.

The server led them to the hotel’s fifth floor, stating Wang Sicong had reserved a deluxe private room there.

Wang Sicong’s booked room was named ’First-class Fresh’. The entrance was a double door carved with lifelike designs; the server mentioned the doors were made from top-grade pear wood.

Upon entering the private room, the first thing Lin Tian noticed was not the dining table, but a wall-sized LCD screen and a karaoke station.

Lin Tian glanced further into the room; besides a set of pear wood chairs, there was a genuine leather sofa and a very exquisite tea set.

Meng Nan turned to the receptionist and asked, ”How much does this room cost?”

The receptionist giggled sweetly, speaking in a coquettish tone, ”This room is exclusively provided to shareholders, not rented out. But downstairs there are similar spec ones, at about 5999 per session.”

Instantly, Meng Nan inhaled sharply and exchanged looks with Li, momentarily at a loss for words.

The three walked over to the pear wood large table, just sat down, barely exchanged a few words when the room’s door opened again,

They initially thought the newcomer was Wang Sicong, but upon looking closely, it was five strangers.

One pointed at Lin Tian and started cursing, ”So it’s you, boy. What a small world!”
