The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 356: Chapter 356: They’re Falling Back

Kanyue City Cultural Center, Meeting Hall, Area Five!

”Old Five, start moving towards the first floor!” The leader gave the order. It had been a full five minutes since they entered Area Five!

Five minutes of continuous gunfighting!

In these five minutes, their manpower sharply decreased!

They had already lost two people when they blasted through the skylight, and during the five-minute gunfight, they lost three more!

The elite team of ten was now down to only five!

This operation was a definite loss, and a bloodbath at that!

Since the Wolf Fang Mercenaries started out, when had they suffered such a huge loss?

With his personality, he’s not one to give up halfway!

Of course, since the wool comes from the sheep’s back, with such a significant loss due to the operation!

All these losses naturally should be covered by the employer who hired them!

As for whether the employer is willing... who cares!

With his style of doing things, simplicity is key!

If the issue came from you not providing complete information, then you must cover all the resulting losses!

As for refusal... haha, the name Wolf Fang Mercenaries is enough!

”Old Six, stay in place and use the cover to shield us!” Upon receiving Old Five’s response, the leader continued to give orders.

But after waiting a long time, there was no response!

He looked up at Old Six’s position and saw a person lying on the ground!

And behind the cover, a shadow appeared!

The leader’s face instantly sank. How long had it been, and they were down to four people!

”Damn it, why am I suddenly regretting agreeing to this mission!” In just one operation, the Wolf Fang Mercenaries had lost six elites!

Such a massive loss was hard to bear, even for someone as composed as he was!

The Wolf Fang Mercenaries never had many people, and even fewer could be under his direct command!

Everybody he brought tonight was the best of the Wolf Fang Mercenaries, yet he lost so many, showing how much it pained him!

He raised his hand and fired a shot at the cover, venting his frustration!

”Speed up the operation, quickly close in on the first floor, grab the three items, and leave!” The leader gritted his teeth. Though he wanted to kill all these Sakura Security Staff, he knew that time and manpower were constraints!

The leader dared not waste more time!

The loss of six elites made him realize how tricky this mission was!

He couldn’t afford any more delays!

Who knew if they delayed further, they might all end up stuck here!

”Bastards!” The leader swore internally, nearly furious to death!

”Bang, bang, bang!” He raised his hand and fired three consecutive shots, taking down a Sakura Security Institute staff hidden in the shadows!

At this moment, all six Sakura Security Staff rushing upstairs had been dealt with!

He quickly got up and led the three elite Wolf Fang Mercenaries towards the first floor.

Seeing two guards at the venue entrance, he made a pause gesture and then slid down the stairs like an eel to the corner.

He slowly raised his pistol, calculated the angle in his mind, and quickly pulled the trigger, ensuring he could fire two bullets simultaneously!

”Bang, bang!”

”Thud, thud!”

The bullets left the chamber, piercing the flesh instantly!

”Grab the stuff!” Having dealt with the last two security personnel, the leader quickly ordered.

At the same time, he quickly moved towards the venue’s exit, holding the position alone!

”Damn it, more people are coming!” In that moment, new Sakura Security Staff had appeared in the passageway!

”Quickly grab the stuff; we only have one minute!” Sweat dripped from the leader’s forehead; the situation was becoming increasingly severe!

Judging by the distance of the reinforcements and with his bullet obstruction, they had a minute at most!

If they couldn’t grab the stuff in one minute, they would have to retreat!

”Bang, bang, bang...” At the same time, he started shooting to deter the security personnel from approaching!

”Bang, bang, bang!” The three elite Wolf Fang Mercenaries were decisive. They no longer had the luxury of delay!

Decisively, they retrieved explosive charges from their camouflage suits and set them on the bulletproof glass!

In an instant, the bulletproof glass shattered!

Generally, bulletproof glass can withstand a certain degree of explosive force. The bulletproof glass in the venue was just such a kind!

However, the explosives the Wolf Fang Mercenaries carried were extremely special, certainly not something that glass, considered ordinary bulletproof by their standards, could defend against!

The three elite Wolf Fang Mercenaries quickly placed the artifacts in their backpacks and started retreating to the second floor!

They didn’t worry about their leader because they were well aware he had the capability to retreat safely!

With the task items secured, their first priority was to take care of themselves!

The doctrine of the Wolf Fang Mercenaries is: people can die, but the mission must be completed!

”Leader, we’ve gone upstairs; you can retreat now!”

”Received!” At forty-nine seconds, the reinforcement security personnel were about to close in!

It was clear the opponents had become wiser, using bulletproof shields!

But with the items in hand, the leader naturally withdrew quickly!

”Hurry up and leave!” the leader ordered!

The situation was growing more dangerous. The Sakura Security Institute staff’s response was very effective; at least, he felt very restrained now!

Although he was far superior to these security personnel in individual capability, the leader clearly realized that one person couldn’t accomplish the task!

A team operation is called a team because it requires a group to achieve what one person cannot!

Of course, the leader was unaware of Lin Tian’s existence; otherwise, he wouldn’t think this way.

”Thankfully, the mission was somewhat successful!” The leader looked dejected. The loss was too great; even if the mission succeeded, it was hard to be happy!

Had he known, he wouldn’t have believed the nonsense and accepted this job!

”They’re retreating!” reported the Sakura Security Institute staff, monitoring everything through the surveillance device, informing everyone about the situation in Area Five.

As for Lin Tian’s position, it was hidden enough to be in a blind spot and went completely unnoticed!

”Quick, quick, quick, don’t let them escape!” Jin Huifu, leading the reinforcements, looked anxious!

”You guys, take people through the passage and block them!” Jin Huifu immediately started directing. At this moment, stopping these people was the most critical task!

”Okay!” The group nodded decisively and swiftly headed towards the passageway between the second and first floors.
