The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 379: Chapter 379: Claw Machine

”Sure!” Lin Tian was the first to respond to Wang Sicong’s words.

”Sure!” Li nodded as well. After all, it was a roommate’s invitation, no need to refuse.

Beside, there’s plenty of time, today you treat, tomorrow I will; since we are all roommates, it doesn’t matter much.

”It’s not right to let you treat us alone!” Meng Nan said with an embarrassed smile.

”It’s no big deal, we’re all going to be brothers from now on, a meal is a small matter!” Wang Sicong clearly didn’t mind the cost of a meal.

”Thanks, bro!” Meng Nan stepped up to help Wang Sicong pack his things, while Lin Tian continued with his own packing.

Just as he finished tidying up, Lin Tian’s phone rang. He looked at the caller ID: ”Hey, Qingcheng?”

”Lin Tian, are you done packing? If so, come with me to buy some stuff!” Liou Qingcheng’s voice came through the phone.

”I’m done!”

”Then hurry down, I’m waiting for you downstairs at your dorm!”

”Okay!” Lin Tian hung up the phone without much thought.

”You guys go ahead. I have something to take care of, I’ll be back soon!” Lin Tian said to his three new roommates.

”Alright!” Li nodded.

”Going to see your girlfriend?” Wang Sicong smirked.

”Don’t forget to join us for dinner tonight!” Meng Nan reminded.

Lin Tian smiled, nodded to the three, and said to Wang Sicong, ”Friend! Not girlfriend!”

After speaking, Lin Tian quickly ran downstairs. Since the dorm was on the second floor, it wasn’t far, but by the time Lin Tian left the dorm, Liou Qingcheng was already waiting not far from the boys’ dorm entrance.

”So slow!” Liou Qingcheng sulked.

”Hehe, I came as fast as I could!” Lin Tian chuckled as they walked together.

Little did they know, countless eyes were watching them, or rather, watching Lin Tian.

He actually has such a beautiful girlfriend...

Lin Tian brought personal care items, but Liou Qingcheng didn’t, meaning her large suitcase contained only clothes...

So now Lin Tian had to accompany Liou Qingcheng to buy these daily necessities.

There were actually many shops on campus, but Lin Tian and Liou Qingcheng wandered around for most of the day without finding any.

It wasn’t until they asked a junior from the third year did they realize that many of the school’s shops were underground to utilize space.

Upon learning about the underground mall, the two headed to the plaza. After all, for safety reasons, there couldn’t be large structures above an underground mall.

Sure enough, they soon found stairs leading to an underground mall near a playground.

After going down the stairs, they discovered it was very spacious, with numerous small shops, like a department store below.

After just a short stroll, Liou Qingcheng seemed like an unrestrained child.

She spent a short time in a clothing store and bought two sets of dresses she liked.

Then she pulled Lin Tian into a store filled with claw machines.

Inside, Lin Tian realized the shop looked small from outside, but was quite large. It contained over twenty claw machines.

The shop was bustling, with mostly female customers eagerly inserting coins into machines and enjoying themselves.

”Do you like these?” Lin Tian asked.

Liou Qingcheng nodded and said with a smile, ”Don’t you think those stuffed toys are cute? I want to pile them all on my bed, soft and comfy.”

Lin Tian smiled at Liou Qingcheng, it was the first time he saw her act so girly.

Lin Tian asked with a smile, ”How’s your claw machine skill?”

Liou Qingcheng pouted and said, ”My skills aren’t great. But if you keep trying, you’re bound to win!”

This mentality wasn’t unique to Liou Qingcheng; it seemed to be the mindset of most girls in the store.

Honestly, the odds of winning at these machines aren’t high. Store owners aren’t going to lose money, so they make the claws loose. Even if you pick up a toy, the claw easily lets go.

But Liou Qingcheng didn’t care about that, as long as she was happy.

She ran to the store manager, exchanged for thirty coins, then went to an empty machine to play.

As Liou Qingcheng admitted, her skill wasn’t great; after five attempts, she hadn’t won once.

Lin Tian patted her shoulder and said, ”Let me try.”

Lin Tian failed twice in a row, but quickly figured out a cheat method.

By channeling the Spiritual Qi within him into the machine, he could slightly control the claw’s movement and tighten it, ensuring the toy wouldn’t fall.

On the third attempt, Lin Tian succeeded and picked out the largest white rabbit among the toys.

Liou Qingcheng excitedly hugged the rabbit, patted Lin Tian’s shoulder, and said with satisfaction, ”Not bad, young man.”

Lin Tian smiled without speaking and inserted another coin, promptly winning another toy.

Out of thirty coins, they got twenty toys. Lin Tian barely missed after his initial failures.

The girls nearby stopped playing and gathered around to watch Lin Tian.

”Wow, that guy is so handsome. Do you know who he is?”

”He must be a freshman, right? And he’s so skilled at the claw machine. But it’s a pity... He already has a girlfriend, and she’s so pretty. We probably don’t stand a chance.”

”Who cares about him having a girlfriend? As long as I’m bold enough, why fear I can’t win a man over?”

Liou Qingcheng felt proud at first to see so many girls watching.

But she soon grew annoyed as many ogled Lin Tian, with some even flirting openly.

How could these women be so shameless?

After using all thirty coins, Liou Qingcheng shoved the toys into Lin Tian’s arms, picked up the remaining few, and dragged Lin Tian out of the store.

As they ran, several toys fell from Lin Tian’s arms.

Lin Tian was puzzled. They planned to buy daily necessities, but ended up with just a pile of toys. However, Liou Qingcheng seemed to have fun. She quickly wanted to run to another store, but was stopped by Lin Tian.

”Hey, enough shopping. If you buy more, we won’t be able to carry it all. Let’s head back to the dorm first, okay?”

Thus, with a pile of toys in his arms, Lin Tian followed behind Liou Qingcheng as they left the underground mall...
