The Delicate Darling with Her Rough Man

Chapter 228: Chapter 227: Don’t Scare My Wife

Grandma Leng rushed toward Leng Yuan.

Leng Yuan just gave Aunt Leng and Third Aunt Leng a cool glance, and they immediately understood his meaning.

If Grandma Leng dared to step forward, Leng Qiushou and Leng ManCang would only get beaten more severely.

The two women didn’t dare to gamble with their sons’ well-being.

They knew Leng Yuan’s character; he was a man of his word.

The first time, they hadn’t believed it either. The result was that after Grandma Leng hit Leng Yuan once, Leng Yuan hammered each of their sons ten times. He landed every single blow, leaving no one out.

Absolutely fair.

Aunt Leng was scared.

She hurried forward to block the old woman.

”Mom, just stay out of it.”

The more you interfere, the harder he’ll hit them.

The old woman wouldn’t listen.

”Didn’t you see him hitting my grandsons? They’re already on the ground! You two, get up! I’m going to teach him a good lesson.”

Aunt Leng and Third Aunt Leng were speechless.

They were about to die from anger.

’This old woman... she can’t be doing this on purpose, can she?!’

She knew perfectly well that ”helping” would only get Leng Qiushou and Leng ManCang beaten more severely, yet she still insisted on rushing forward.

Aunt Leng lost her temper.

”Mom, the more you push forward, the harder Qiushou will be beaten! I told you, again and again, not to come over, but you just wouldn’t listen! And look what happened! They took a beating for nothing.”

’And we still haven’t settled the matter of the jobs!’

’From the looks of it, Leng Yuan isn’t going to budge either.’

When the old woman heard her daughter-in-law yelling at her, she felt wronged.

”I was just trying to help! I’m his grandmother, you know.”

Third Aunt Leng couldn’t hold back anymore either.

”A grandmother who’s already been disowned? Do you really think he gives a damn about you?”

It was only because she was old and he couldn’t hit her; otherwise, Leng Yuan would have probably started swinging without a second thought.

Grandma Leng was at a loss for words.

’Well, I’ll be.’

’This is absolute rebellion!’

Just as she was about to get angry, she heard the wails of her two grandsons and her heart ached with pity.

”Go easy on them! Leng Yuan, I said go easy! Those are your cousins!”

The more the old woman shouted, the harder Leng Yuan’s blows became.

Watching this, Aunt Leng reached out and clamped a hand over the old woman’s mouth.

”For heaven’s sake, Mom, stop shouting! Are you trying to get your grandsons killed before you’ll stop?”

The old woman was so incensed her eyes welled up with tears.

’Who was she doing all this for? Her heart ached for her beaten grandsons, too. How could these people say such things about her!’

SOB SOB SOB!

Aunt Leng felt the tears on her hand, jumped in fright, and quickly let go.

The old woman plopped right down on the ground by the door. ”There’s no justice in this world! A grandson is beating his grandmother!”

The weather was cold, but that didn’t mean no one was out and about.

There were still people around on the nearby mountain.

If the old woman kept shouting like this, she would soon attract a crowd.

Gu Jiaojiao hadn’t planned on getting involved, but when she heard those words, she couldn’t stand it any longer.

If Leng Yuan had so much as laid a finger on the old woman, she wouldn’t have dared to shout by the door like that.

She walked out, carrying a knife.

She saw Leng Yuan pinning the two men to the ground and beating them. Deciding he’d made his point, she couldn’t help but call out.

”Leng Yuan.”

When Leng Yuan saw Gu Jiaojiao come out, he felt she shouldn’t have to see such a bloody scene and immediately stopped.

He stood up and gave each of them another kick.

”Cover your faces. Don’t scare my wife.”

Leng Qiushou and Leng ManCang were furious but didn’t dare to speak. They had been beaten and now were being told to cover their faces. It was utterly humiliating.

The two of them sullenly covered their faces, making sure Gu Jiaojiao couldn’t see a thing.

At that moment, they were grimacing in pain, their hearts filled with regret.

’If we’d known this would happen, we wouldn’t have let Grandma come over. We were just hoping to use this chance to have a proper talk with Leng Yuan. Otherwise, we could have easily stopped one old woman. Who knew Leng Yuan would be so ruthless? He started fighting the moment he saw us, without a single word. We got a beating for nothing and didn’t even get to say what we came for.’

Thinking of this, a flash of resentment crossed their eyes.

’The next chance we get, we’ll make Leng Yuan pay the price.’
