Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 549: Chapter 549: Proposal!

Callan Walkers raised his eyebrows with a mischievous smile, ”BOSS, our Miss Morris is already a celebrity at Era! The president of Summit’s own sister working as a secretary on our sixty-eighth floor, tsk tsk! Everyone says it’s a bit beneath Miss Morris’s station!”

Arlo Seys’s gaze was gentle, a smile spreading at the corners of his lips.

In the general manager’s office area on the sixty-eighth floor of Era, Ariel Morris sat at her desk, browsing the day’s reports and scrolling through Weibo.

When she saw the report from Inglewood Media and read about her brother Jorge Saxton searching for her for more than twenty years, her eyes became slightly moist.

Ariel Morris picked up the phone on the desk and dialed Jorge Saxton’s number.

When the call connected, Jorge Saxton’s warm and pleasant voice came through, ”Ariel.”

Ariel Morris pursed her lips, her voice tender with a hint of playfulness, ”Brother, I’m heading back to Clearflower Estate tonight. I want to have dinner and chat with you.”

Jorge Saxton chuckled happily on the other side, clearly in a good mood, ”Alright, brother will wait for you to come home for dinner. What would you like to eat? I’ll have Clearflower Estate’s staff prepare it.”

”Braised ribs, eggplant in garlic sauce, and also oil-braised prawns!” Ariel Morris laughed.

Jorge Saxton replied gently, ”Sure, brother will be busy for now, and I’ll come to Era to pick you up in the evening.”

”Okay.”

After hanging up the phone, Ariel Morris was about to go to the president’s office to tell Arlo Seys about her plan to return to Clearflower Estate tonight when her phone suddenly rang. She glanced at the caller ID, her gaze dimming, with some heaviness.

Ariel Morris pressed the answer button and deliberately lowered her voice to speak to the other end of the line, ”Doctor Chapman.”

”Miss Morris, when do you plan to undergo the operation? I told you last time that your condition can’t be delayed any longer; the virus inside your body is out of control, you must make a decision quickly!”

Ariel Morris glanced towards the president’s office, her voice lowered even further, ”Doctor Chapman, give me a month. After a month, I’ll have the surgery!”

Doctor Chapman sighed, ”Miss Morris, the longer you delay, the lower the chance of success for the surgery! I advise you to undergo the operation immediately, otherwise...”

”I understand, Doctor Chapman! Let’s leave it at that!” Ariel Morris cut off Doctor Chapman’s words and ended the call.

As soon as her call ended, she saw Callan Walkers walking out of the president’s office, approaching her.

Callan Walkers came closer, ”Miss Morris, President Seys asked you to go in.”

Ariel Morris nodded and walked towards Arlo Seys’s office.

”Arlo, do you need something?” Ariel Morris approached, a smile playing on her lips.

Arlo Seys stood up and embraced Ariel Morris, the two standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window on the sixty-eighth floor, looking out at the bustling streets of City C.

”Ariel, close your eyes.” Arlo Seys’s voice was exceptionally gentle.

Ariel Morris chuckled softly, nodded, and closed her eyes, ”Arlo, do you have a surprise for me? I’m really looking forward to it.”

Arlo Seys picked up the jewelry box from the desk, smiling faintly, ”You can open them now. You’re like the little worm in my belly, guessing I had a surprise for you.”

Ariel Morris slowly opened her bright eyes, her smile beaming, extending her hand, playfully saying, ”Hurry, let me see.”

Arlo Seys turned Ariel Morris to face him, smiled gently, his brows soft, then opened the jewelry box.

As the jewelry box opened, a grand and luxurious diamond ring came into view, leaving Ariel Morris momentarily stunned, without any reaction.

Arlo Seys moved the jewelry box closer to Ariel Morris, his voice gentle and pleasant, ”Miss Morris, the wedding date is set for this Christmas. This is the custom-made wedding ring, designed by me. I wonder if Miss Morris likes it? Miss Morris, are you willing to fulfill the promise you made to me when you were young and marry me, Arlo Seys?”
