Chapter 522: Chapter 522: Jose Floyd brought it upon himself

Ariel Morris hurriedly spoke up, ”I don’t want to interfere either, but Nicole came to take care of me. She kindly came to look after me and ended up being locked in the cellar. How am I supposed to explain this to the Seys Family?”

Langdon Seal looked at Ariel Morris, paused for a moment, and said, ”Nicole Seys had hurt Jose before. Jose has already been lenient with her.”

Back then, the knife pierced directly into Jose’s chest, almost leaving him in a coma forever. Regarding Nicole Seys, he truly wished Jose wouldn’t have any ties with her.

Ariel Morris frowned slightly and replied in a somber tone, ”If Jose Floyd hadn’t provoked Nicole, she wouldn’t have come to Clearflower Estate on her own. When it comes to Jose Floyd, Nicole is eager to avoid him, so any talk of hurting is something Jose brought upon himself.”

Jorge Saxton was about to say something when his gaze accidentally fell on the staircase. He saw Jose Floyd walking at the top of the stairs, immediately signaling to his sister with his eyes.

Ariel Morris received her brother’s reminder, turned her head to look, and upon seeing Jose Floyd, whispered to Jorge Saxton, ”I’m going to the cellar.” Then, with a swift ’whoosh,’ she slipped away, leaving the mess for her brother to clean up.

Jose Floyd watched Ariel Morris leave with cold eyes, made no attempt to stop her, but instead descended the stairs, heading toward the two people sitting on the sofa.

Ariel Morris went down to the cellar.

Seeing the two guards standing at the door, Ariel Morris walked over, extended her hand, and said in a cold tone, ”The key.”

The two guards at the door immediately greeted her respectfully, ”Miss Ariel.”

Ariel Morris responded with a faint ”Hmm,” ”Where’s the key? Let her out.”

The two guards looked troubled, hesitating to make a move.

Ariel Morris walked over to them, her gaze sweeping across them, ”Do I have to fish it out of your pockets myself or will you hand it over? Choose!”

”Miss Ariel, Young Master Floyd has instructed that no one is to let her out. Please don’t put us in a difficult position,” one of the guards said respectfully.

Ariel Morris sneered at the speaking guard, ”Do you know? Jose Floyd watched me go to the cellar and didn’t stop me! You know better than I do who’s inside! You are more aware of Jose Floyd’s intentions towards her. If anything happens to her and Jose Floyd doesn’t snap at you, I’ll be surprised!”

”Miss Ariel, this----” the guard hesitated.

Indeed, as Young Master Floyd’s personal guards, they were more aware of the person inside than anyone else. For five years, the Young Master had been more indulgent with her than anyone else. They once thought she would eventually become the Young Mistress, but they didn’t anticipate such an outcome!

Ariel Morris brushed past them, walked to the cellar door, looked at the lock on the iron gate, extended her slender fingers, and said gently, ”If anything happens, my brother will take the blame. Don’t worry; it won’t come back to you!”

The guards exchanged a glance, and one stepped forward with the key, handing it to Ariel Morris.

The Miss Ariel in front of them was the younger sister Jorge Saxton had recently reconnected with, the princess he cherished deeply. They dared not make things difficult, and even if something did happen, Young Master Floyd wouldn’t blame them.

Ariel Morris took the key and quickly unlocked the cellar gate, entering inside.

Her eyes scanned the cellar, finally spotting someone slumped against the wall, eyes closed, fast asleep in a corner. Ariel Morris immediately walked over.

Kneeling beside Nicole Seys, she saw her slightly flushed cheeks and pale lips. Ariel Morris cursed Jose Floyd a thousand times in her heart.

”Nicole, wake up! Nicole! Wake up! I’ll take you back to the Seys Family!”

Ariel Morris shook Nicole Seys’ body gently. Nicole Seys, who had fainted, slowly opened her eyes, blinking weakly, and softly called out, ”Ariel.”
