Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

After finishing a bottle of whiskey with Luo Lie in the tavern, Lu Yu drove straight to the front of the Victory Group.

Just after arriving at the front of the Victory Group, Lu Yu had just parked his car and was about to head towards the lobby.

At that moment, when Lu Yu looked up, he saw not far from him, Leng Qingqiu walking out from the building of the Victory Group with an elderly man in a suit.

The two were chatting as they walked, and at first glance, they seemed very familiar with each other.

This elderly man, though his hair was white, showed no signs of frailty; his back was straight as he walked, giving a vigorous impression, and combined with his well-fitting suit, he appeared quite imposing.

Originally, it was quite normal for Leng Qingqiu, as the president of the Victory Group, to meet distinguished guests from other companies.

But the moment he saw this elderly man, Lu Yu’s eyelid couldn’t help but twitch slightly, showing a trace of surprise!

Because he happened to know this elderly man!

This elderly man was the famous geography professor in LA City, Zhang Qiren!

Seeing this, Lu Yu couldn’t help but be puzzled.

Since the Lu Family and Leng Family were old friends, Lu Yu was quite familiar with Leng Qingqiu.

It’s important to know that Leng Qingqiu had been studying management and business since university, disciplines meant entirely for taking over the Victory Group in the future.

And regardless of whether it was management or business, these subjects were completely unrelated to the field of geography; now seeing Leng Qingqiu having a conversation like this with Professor Zhang Qiren was truly beyond Lu Yu’s expectations.

Thinking of this, Lu Yu, out of curiosity, glanced over at Leng Qingqiu and perked up his ears, wanting to know what they were talking about.

At this moment, Leng Qingqiu escorted Professor Zhang Qiren to a black sedan, smiled slightly, and then said, ”Professor Zhang, thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I am truly grateful!”

Help?

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu was slightly stunned, appearing somewhat puzzled.

He still couldn’t figure out how Professor Zhang Qiren, a professor of geography, could help Leng Qingqiu.

”Hahaha, President Leng, you’re too kind.”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Zhang Qiren laughed, appearing very cheerful: ”I’m free right now anyway, and President Leng, the satellite map you gave me, truly piqued my interest. You know, I’ve lived so long, yet I didn’t know there’s such a shadow-covered area near LA City’s waters!”

Saying so, Zhang Qiren showed off a USB drive in his hand and continued: ”I’m a person with no particular hobbies but I love studying geography, and now that you’ve found me such a good thing, President Leng, it’s me who should thank you!”

In these words, Zhang Qiren smiled, looking very happy.

A satellite map? A shadow-covered area!?

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s heart suddenly skipped a beat, followed by a vague sense of unease flooding his heart.

Although he didn’t understand what Zhang Qiren and Leng Qingqiu were discussing, inside his heart Lu Yu already faintly felt that this matter might have some connection to himself.

Thinking of this, Lu Yu looked up and continued watching Leng Qingqiu and Zhang Qiren.

”Professor Zhang, you are too kind,”

With a slight smile, Leng Qingqiu replied to Zhang Qiren: ”May I ask how long it might take for you to pinpoint the exact location of that shadow?”

Her words were light, tinged with traces of curiosity, clearly showing her intrigue about the so-called shadow.

”It’s hard to say,”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s inquiry, Professor Zhang chuckled and replied: ”Locating something like this requires a lot of preparation. If we’re lucky, it might take less than a week; if not, it could take over a month!”

In his words, Professor Zhang spoke very cautiously, demonstrating unique rigor.

A month?

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu was slightly taken aback, appearing somewhat surprised. However, after a moment’s thought, she was relieved.

A month’s time—she could certainly afford to wait!

Thinking of this, Leng Qingqiu smiled slightly, looking at Professor Zhang Qiren in front of her and said: ”In that case, I must trouble you, Professor Zhang.”

”President Leng, you’re welcome, this is also my passion.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Zhang Qiren replied calmly while opening the car door: ”When I locate the position of this shadow, I’ll inform you first thing.”

Within his words, Professor Zhang appeared approachable, displaying the disposition expected of a scholar.

”That would be great,”

Upon hearing Zhang Qiren’s words, Leng Qingqiu nodded, then said: ”In that case, I’ll await your good news, Professor Zhang!”

”No problem, since that’s the case, I’ll take my leave now and won’t disturb you, President Leng.”

Saying this, Zhang Qiren smiled slightly, got into the sedan, nodded to Leng Qingqiu, and then drove away from the Victory Group with a push of the gas pedal.

Phew!

Watching the car leave, Leng Qingqiu slowly exhaled and silently turned around to return to her office.

At this moment, Lu Yu’s voice suddenly came through.

”Since when did you become interested in geography?”

With these words, Lu Yu casually walked to Leng Qingqiu’s side, looking at her with a playful gaze, his tone carrying a hint of teasing.

”Were you eavesdropping on me?”

Seeing Lu Yu suddenly appear beside her, Leng Qingqiu was clearly startled, resembling a frightened cat, with surprise evident on her elegant and aloof face.

”I have no such bad taste!”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s accusation, Lu Yu shook his head and said: ”I just happened to walk by and overheard your conversation, that’s all.”

With that, Lu Yu glanced at Leng Qingqiu in front of him, smiled, and said: ”It seems we haven’t interacted in a while, to the point where I didn’t know that as the president of the Victory Group, you’d have an interest in geographic knowledge.”

In his words, Lu Yu’s speech was laden with subtlety, each sentence bearing a faint sense of mockery, clearly revealing his curiosity about the so-called shadow area that Leng Qingqiu was investigating.

In fact, Leng Qingqiu’s invitation to Zhang Qiren to investigate that shadow area on the satellite map was merely due to curiosity about Lu Yu.

Although she used to dislike Lu Yu greatly, she had a certain understanding of his character and conduct.

The Lu Yu of the past was idle and reckless, indulging in all forms of vice, a typical wastrel. Now, after disappearing for five years and returning, although Lu Yu’s changes were more than just marginal, these changes made him feel very unfamiliar to Leng Qingqiu!
