Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

The sky gradually dimmed, and the bustling LA City during the day was now submerged in the darkness of night. The dazzling neon lights in the distance decorated the city into one that never sleeps, a sight that was mesmerizing.

After coming out from the forest park, Lu Yu didn’t head home directly but instead went to a rather secluded tavern, ordered a glass of whiskey, and quietly started drinking.

As the rich alcohol slid down his throat, Lu Yu recalled the events that had just occurred, his eyes reflecting a hint of confusion.

Since returning, aside from a few women around him, friends were scarce, and he had no male friends at all!

In such circumstances, who was it that helped him just now!?

At the very moment Bain threw the flashbang, someone shot and killed him, indicating that the person had been hiding nearby while Lu Yu was fighting, quietly observing everything. If it weren’t for Bain’s flashbang making the person think Lu Yu was in danger, they probably wouldn’t have acted!

The person’s actions were akin to a hidden hunter, quietly protecting him!

Who exactly wishes to protect him, and what is their motive?

Lu Yu had no idea about any of this right now, but he knew one thing: in this world, there’s no love without reason!

No matter who the person is, they wouldn’t protect him without reason; therefore, Lu Yu felt they must want something from him!

”Never thought you would call me out voluntarily!”

As Lu Yu pondered in silence, a deep voice rang out.

Hearing this, Lu Yu glanced slightly and saw Luo Lie standing beside him, dressed casually, with a hint of a smile on his face.

”Have a seat!”

Seeing Luo Lie’s arrival, Lu Yu said calmly, while gesturing to the bartender for another glass of whiskey.

”What do you need me for?”

After the bartender brought the drink, Luo Lie took a sip from his glass without hesitation and asked, curiosity marking his words.

Now, Luo Lie was very curious about why Lu Yu called him out this time.

”Do you recognize this?”

Upon hearing Luo Lie’s words, Lu Yu placed a severely deformed bullet in front of him, indicating his inquiry.

Although reluctant to collaborate with official organizations, there truly was no one faster than them in tracing the source of the bullet!

This was precisely why Lu Yu decided to seek Luo Lie’s help!

”A bullet head?”

Seeing the severely deformed bullet head, Luo Lie carefully examined it, his eyes reflecting seriousness: ”Did someone attack you?”

Currently, Shadow Sword was also very curious about Lu Yu, and Luo Lie wanted to learn more given this chance.

”Quite the opposite.”

Upon hearing Luo Lie’s words, Lu Yu sipped his drink and slightly lifted his gaze towards Luo Lie, saying, ”This person seemed more like they were protecting me!”

Saying this, Lu Yu recounted the event to Luo Lie, speaking with a tone of calmness.

”Protection?”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Luo Lie was also puzzled, very much confused at present.

If someone wanted to act against Lu Yu, Luo Lie could fully understand, but someone protecting Lu Yu was bewildering to him.

”Exactly, protection.”

Upon hearing Luo Lie’s words, Lu Yu nodded and said, ”So, can you tell anything from this bullet?”

Upon saying this, Lu Yu’s words were filled with gloom, shaking his head slightly.

Even he did not understand why the person wanted to protect him!

”It’s hard to say.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Luo Lie remarked while examining the deformed bullet head: ”But I can be sure that the person is likely a professional killer, perhaps hired by someone to protect you!”

Professional killer!?

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s body couldn’t help but tremble, showing a tinge of nervous astonishment as he looked at Luo Lie, saying, ”Are you certain!?”

”One hundred percent sure!”

Upon hearing this, Luo Lie declared, ”I spent ten years in the army and am very familiar with firearms and ammunition.”

With that, Luo Lie returned the deformed bullet to Lu Yu and explained, ”This kind of bullet is a specially made sniper bullet. Once hit within eight hundred meters, it’s sure death! Not only that, but such bullets are ten times more expensive than regular ones, which ordinary gunslingers cannot afford.”

”Moreover, such bullets are typically only affordable by the military and professional killers, while military firearms and bullets are strictly controlled, leaving only professional killers as likely holders!”

After hearing this, Lu Yu furrowed his brow, now ever more perplexed by everything that was happening.

Compared to normal gunslingers, the profession of a professional killer is extremely rare and very costly, making the act of hiring one to protect oneself incredibly confusing.

Who exactly is hiring a professional killer to protect him, and what is their motive behind such an act?

The more he thought, the more puzzled Lu Yu became, unable to make sense of the situation.

”Can you track them down through the bullet?”

Thinking of this, Lu Yu looked up at Luo Lie and asked, his words filled with inquiry.

”Basically impossible!”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s question, Luo Lie responded, ”Here, unlike in Europe, firearm control is extremely stringent, with many professional killers obtaining their bullets through the underground black market, with no official channels. Unless you have connections in the black market, you won’t find anything!”

Black market!

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s eyes instantly gleamed with a cold glint.

Investigating the black market may be extremely difficult for others, but for him, it’s unbelievably easy!

Because he indeed has connections in the black market!

”I understand!”

Thinking this, Lu Yu’s eyes showed an imperceptible change. He slowly raised his glass, speaking to Luo Lie with a hint of gratitude, ”Thank you for your help this time!”

”Not at all!”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Luo Lie nodded, his words filled with friendliness. He raised his glass too, downing it with Lu Yu, displaying a sense of camaraderie.
