Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Watching Uncle Chen escape, a gleam of determination flickered in Lu Yu’s eyes. As he recalled everything that had just happened, he increasingly felt that there was a rather tricky organization hidden behind this affair!

Since there was an organization involved behind this affair, Meng Yue’s team of detectives alone was absolutely incapable of handling it!

After all, Lu Yu had seen Uncle Chen’s skills with his own eyes!

Uncle Chen’s abilities were also exceptionally formidable, not yet reaching the second stage like Lu Yu, but more than enough to handle the detectives of LA City!

Thinking of this, Lu Yu took out his phone, found Luo Lie’s number, and immediately pressed the call button.

”There’s a prohibited drug called Ghost appearing in LA City. This drug is now in the custody of the LA City Police Department. I need you to help me investigate the main ingredients and the source of these drugs!”

Once the call connected, Lu Yu spoke in a voice full of gravity.

Even though Uncle Chen had already escaped, Lu Yu still found this matter increasingly complicated, so he planned to start with this drug called Ghost to determine the forces backing it!

Lu Yu vaguely sensed in his mind that there were quite complex relationships behind this affair!

And these relationships were something Meng Yue alone simply couldn’t handle!

”Understood!”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Luo Lie’s voice came from the phone: ”I’ll send someone to collect samples for analysis tomorrow. By the latest morning after tomorrow, I’ll tell you all about the main components and the source of this drug!”

Regarding Lu Yu’s request, Luo Lie did not refuse. On the contrary, he agreed very readily.

The reason he stayed in LA City was to observe Lu Yu, and for any matters, he was more than willing to help Lu Yu.

”Appreciate it. If you have time, I’ll treat you to a drink.”

Lu Yu knew tracing the primary ingredients of a drug was quite a troublesome task.

Plus, these drugs were prohibited substances, not regular medicines, so investigating something like this was incredibly troublesome!

For such a troublesome matter to be agreed upon so readily by Luo Lie made Lu Yu somewhat appreciative of him.

”This drug shouldn’t be newly appearing. If possible, I hope you could also track down other locations where this drug has surfaced.”

From the conversation between Uncle Chen and a young man, Lu Yu learned that a drug like Ghost had a strong addiction potential. Given that, Ghost should have appeared in other regions as well!

Thus, Lu Yu asked Luo Lie to investigate.

Lu Yu sensed in his subconscious that this matter wasn’t that simple.

Moreover, investigating such matters should be a breeze for Shadow Sword member Luo Lie!

...

Early the next morning, Lu Yu got up at dawn, ate breakfast, and the moment he stepped out, he ran into Meng Yue in uniform again.

Today, Meng Yue looked remarkably refreshed. The fatigue from last night was swept away, replaced with radiance. Clearly, she had rested well last night.

”Morning, beautiful. How was your rest yesterday?”

Seeing Meng Yue, Lu Yu started with a smile, his words full of humor.

”I slept quite well!”

Thanks to a good relaxation, Meng Yue seemed to be lively and energetic, despite her fairly stern appearance, she exuded a touch of youthful vitality unique to young women: ”Your massage technique is excellent, I suggest you quit your job and open a massage parlor. Your monthly income would surely surpass your current job!”

Now, Meng Yue felt incredibly light and comfortable, all thanks to Lu Yu’s massage yesterday.

”A massage parlor? No way!”

Hearing Meng Yue’s words, Lu Yu chuckled and said, ”Running a massage parlor is exhausting. Nowadays, all I do at work is run errands and play games for the boss, which is much more relaxing.”

”Alright, I was just giving you a suggestion.”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Meng Yue smiled gently and said, ”I need to get to work now, catch you later.”

With that, Meng Yue was about to leave.

”How about I give you a ride?”

Seeing Meng Yue, Lu Yu remembered Uncle Chen from last night and felt a subtle worry that someone might still be following Meng Yue.

Out of this worry, Lu Yu made the offer.

”Sure!”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Meng Yue seemed quite delighted. She immediately said, ”You giving me a ride will save me a lot of time.”

”Then let’s go.”

Hearing Meng Yue’s words, Lu Yu smiled slightly, then he and Meng Yue directly entered the elevator and headed downstairs.

Getting into the car, Meng Yue looked at Lu Yu’s brand new Bentley and was quite shocked, saying, ”A Bentley Mulsanne, pretty good! Your boss must be wealthy to let you drive such a nice car!”

Since Lu Yu never told Meng Yue it was his car, and combined with his previous statements about being an errand boy, Meng Yue naturally assumed Lu Yu was a chauffeur-type person.

”Absolutely!”

Hearing Meng Yue’s words, Lu Yu casually said, ”I used to drive luxury cars. Naturally, my boss feels perfectly at ease leaving a car like this with me!”

Lu Yu had no intention of explaining to Meng Yue that this car was a gift from LA City’s mob boss Yunting, otherwise she might just lose her mind!

”Nice, I get to ride in this luxury car.”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Meng Yue said with a smile.

”If you don’t mind, I can give you a lift to and from work these days.”

Hearing Meng Yue’s words, Lu Yu started the car and spoke softly.

It must be remembered that since Uncle Chen was watching Meng Yue with binoculars last night, it means that this so-called organization had already set their sights on her!

This was the reason Lu Yu made this offer, knowing that with Uncle Chen’s skills, even if Meng Yue carried a gun, she would definitely be no match for him!

When skills reach a certain level, unless one is an expert with firearms, a gun wouldn’t be that useful!

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Meng Yue’s expression froze for a moment, then she smiled and said, ”Wow, how come you’re suddenly being so nice to me? Have you got a crush on this lady?”

Her words carried a hint of teasing, and her smile gave her the air of a playful woman.

”Don’t overthink it.”

Hearing Meng Yue’s words, Lu Yu shook his head while smiling and said, ”The car is new, needs running to break in. I saw how tired you were last night, and since I’ve got nothing better to do, why not give you a lift?”

His words were full of humor, as if it genuinely was just about breaking in the car.

”Alright then.”

Hearing this, Meng Yue studied Lu Yu for a moment, then smiled slightly and said, ”In that case, I’ll agree. Let’s set off now, Driver Lu!”

Her words were playful, and Lu Yu, hearing them, just shook his head slightly, started the car, and headed to the LA City Police Department.
