Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

At the top floor of the Victory Group headquarters, in Leng Qingqiu’s office.

”You want to take a leave of absence? For seven days?”

Leng Qingqiu’s elegant brows slightly furrowed, obviously quite surprised by Lu Yu’s sudden leave request.

Ever since Lu Yu returned, his behavior and tone seemed quite mysterious and unfathomable, making people unable to read him. Now, with Lu Yu suddenly requesting time off, Leng Qingqiu was indeed a bit taken aback.

”Yes, a week’s leave.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu replied, his tone full of calmness, appearing quite relaxed.

”What are you going to do with a week’s leave?”

Looking at Lu Yu in front of her, who seemed completely at ease, Leng Qingqiu asked, and she suddenly realized that she was finding it increasingly difficult to see through Lu Yu.

The Lu Yu before her still had the same appearance as the carefree Lu Yu from five years ago, but internally, he had transformed dramatically. This was something Leng Qingqiu could sense from the subtle clues in Lu Yu’s daily words and behavior.

And it was precisely because of this that she asked in such detail.

”Accompany Wen Ya back to her hometown!”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s question, Lu Yu didn’t hesitate, immediately speaking with a smile all over his face, appearing very open.

”Accompany Wen Ya back to her hometown?”

Hearing this, Leng Qingqiu was slightly stunned. Then she looked at Lu Yu and asked, ”Why are you accompanying her back to her hometown?”

Just a few minutes ago, Wen Ya had called Leng Qingqiu to apply for a week’s leave. Because Wen Ya had significant contributions to the Victory Group, Leng Qingqiu had agreed without even thinking. But now, hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu was a bit confused as to why Lu Yu wanted to follow Wen Ya back to her hometown.

”Because of some special matters, I need to help her handle them.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s question, Lu Yu replied calmly, but didn’t clarify exactly what those matters were.

Wen Ya had been at the Victory Group for a while and hadn’t disclosed the past events to anyone, indicating that Wen Ya didn’t want others to know about them. Thus, Lu Yu only mentioned that it was a special matter without giving Leng Qingqiu detailed information.

After hearing Lu Yu’s response, Leng Qingqiu pondered for a moment, then said, ”Alright, your leave is approved.”

After spending this time together, Leng Qingqiu could clearly feel that the Lu Yu before her was no longer the young, frivolous playboy of five years ago, gallivanting around. This time, since Lu Yu wanted to go, there must be a reason he felt he needed to go!

”Huh?”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu was slightly taken aback. He was obviously very surprised by her response, as he never expected the usually cold and aloof Leng Qingqiu to agree to his leave request.

”Darling, why are you so understanding today? This is unlike your usual style!”

Thinking about it, Lu Yu looked at Leng Qingqiu and said, based on his impression from five years ago, that at this moment, Leng Qingqiu would never approve his request. Her sudden approval indeed caught him off guard.

”Everyone changes. It’s a phrase you said, have you forgotten?”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu said, ”In the past five years, it’s not just you who has changed.”

Saying this, Leng Qingqiu paused slightly, then added, ”Besides, if I didn’t approve your leave, would you not go anyway?”

Based on Leng Qingqiu’s understanding of Lu Yu, even if she didn’t approve his leave, Lu Yu would still go ahead with his plans regardless, since she couldn’t stop him anyway. So, she decided it was better to simply let him go.

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu smiled slightly, then said, ”Indeed, you know me well, darling. Since that’s the case, thank you. I’ll bring you a gift when I return!”

Saying this, Lu Yu smiled slightly and then turned around, walking out of Leng Qingqiu’s office.

Watching Lu Yu walk out of her office, Leng Qingqiu helplessly shook her head, then typed on her computer, making a series of operations, after which an elderly man with snow-white hair suddenly appeared on the computer screen.

”Professor Zhang, let’s get back to the topic. How’s your research on the satellite map I gave you last time?”

Leng Qingqiu had always been curious about Lu Yu’s past over the last five years, so she approached LA City’s most famous geographer for help in finding the deserted island near LA City, hoping to understand Lu Yu’s life there during these years.

”President Leng.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, the elderly man on the screen, referred to as Professor Zhang, spoke, ”I have thoroughly examined the satellite map you provided and conducted detailed research. However, the results are quite disappointing.”

”There is no island resembling the deserted island you described anywhere near LA City...”

At this moment, Professor Zhang’s tone showed a hint of regret, ”All the nearby islands around LA City show signs of human construction, and I haven’t found any deserted islands. However...”

Saying this, Professor Zhang’s tone revealed a hint of hesitation.

”However, what?”

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu asked, ”Did you discover something else?”

”One cannot say it’s a discovery exactly.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Professor Zhang replied, ”I found a shadow on the satellite map over an area three hundred nautical miles north of LA City, which the satellite cannot clearly see. However, the shadow’s area is exceedingly large, far exceeding the scale of an island, and probably not the island you’re looking for.”

Buzz!

Upon hearing Professor Zhang’s words, Leng Qingqiu’s expression briefly froze, then she said, ”Professor Zhang, can you give me the coordinates of this shadow? I would like to see its location.”

Saying this, Leng Qingqiu expressed, without knowing why, she had a gut feeling that connected Lu Yu to this shadow in numerous ways!

After disappearing for five years, Lu Yu had transformed, as if reborn, from a hedonistic young master into a very dependable man, solving every problem with ease. Such a transformation had indeed made Leng Qingqiu extremely curious!

It was precisely due to this curiosity that Leng Qingqiu wanted to find out what Lu Yu had experienced in the last five years!
