Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Meanwhile, in a relatively quiet area of Lanling City.

Lu Yu looked up at the rather old tavern in front of him and revealed a slight smile. Then, he glanced at Wen Ya beside him and said, ”Is this the tavern you and your mother opened back in the day?”

The tavern before them, although quite old, still exhibited a certain charm. A closer inspection revealed the refined taste of Wen Ya’s mother from years ago.

”Yes.”

Seeing the tavern before her, Wen Ya’s face showed a hint of reminiscence: ”Back then, I lived here with my mother, managing the tavern with great effort. Although those days were tough, looking back now, they were also very happy times!”

Her words carried a faint sadness: ”If I could trade anything for my mother to live again, I would do it!”

Her eyes showed a trace of resolve, reflecting her seriousness.

Upon hearing this, a soft part of Lu Yu’s heart was instantly touched. He looked at Wen Ya and said, ”Yes, if I could bring my parents back to life, I would give anything for it too!”

In this aspect, Lu Yu and Wen Ya shared similar experiences, which allowed them to understand each other’s pain even better. At this moment, they exchanged a glance and then smiled.

”But it is indeed a miracle that this tavern has been preserved until now; it’s really quite miraculous.”

Seeing the old tavern before him, Lu Yu remarked. He knew that in a fast-developing, ever-changing city like this, for such an old tavern to survive was truly a miracle!

”Actually, it’s not a miracle.”

After hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wen Ya explained, ”The house was rented by my mother back then. After I started working at Victory Group, I bought it, hiring people online regularly for maintenance and cleaning. Otherwise, this tavern wouldn’t have lasted until today!”

”The décor still retains my mother’s original setup, serving as a harbor for my soul. Although I haven’t come back since my mother’s passing, seeing this place always brings me comfort.”

Wen Ya said this gently.

”I see.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu nodded, sensing Wen Ya’s attachment to her mother.

”Alright, while we’re in Lanling City, we’ll stay here. It’s much more comfortable than those hotels.”

Saying this, Wen Ya pushed open the tavern door, entering together with Lu Yu.

Inside the tavern, it was spotless and evidently cleaned by people Wen Ya hired before she arrived.

The setting within the bar was very cozy. Wen Ya headed to the counter, retrieved two bottles of blue-bottled vodka, placed them in front of Lu Yu, and said, ”Let’s have a drink first; this is old wine aged for over ten years, a taste you won’t find in other bars!”

”Oh? Then I must give it a try.”

Hearing Wen Ya’s words, Lu Yu smiled faintly, reached for a bottle of vodka, opened the cap, and savored the rich aroma of the wine. He raised his hand slightly and said, ”First toast, to your mother!”

”Thank you!”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s toast, Wen Ya’s heart fluttered slightly, and she responded with a gentle smile, clinking her bottle of vodka with Lu Yu’s as they prepared to drink.

Bang!

At that moment, the tavern door was forcefully kicked open. Seven or eight men wielding machetes rushed in, lining up in two rows. After they entered, Wen Xiu Jie, accompanied by Tang Haishan, slowly stepped inside.

”You pathetic wretch, had the nerve to drink here!”

Looking at Wen Ya holding a bottle, Wen Xiu Jie coldly spoke, his eyes filled with a chilling gaze!

Seeing the sudden appearance of Wen Xiu Jie and Tang Haishan, Wen Ya’s eyes flashed with hatred. These two faces she could never forget; they were the ones who drove her and her mother out of the Wen family!

Even if these two men were reduced to ashes, Wen Ya would still recognize them!

”Wen Xiu Jie, Tang Haishan!”

She spoke coldly, ”What are you doing here? This is my mother’s tavern; you have no right to be here. Get out!”

”No right?”

Upon hearing this, Wen Xiu Jie’s eyes were filled with coldness, ”You wretched star brought ruin to my grandson Wenxuan and cut off my family’s line! Now you dare speak to me like that! You’ve lost your mind!”

Showing his teeth in rage, Wen Xiu Jie appeared extremely sinister!

”He deserved it!”

Upon hearing Wen Xiu Jie’s words, Wen Ya retorted decisively, ”This is all his own fault, and it was destined that your family’s line shouldn’t continue!”

”Brat!”

Wen Xiu Jie’s eyes suddenly became bloodshot upon hearing Wen Ya, ”How dare you talk back!? You, just like your mother, you are all damned...”

”Shut your filthy mouth!”

Before Wen Xiu Jie could finish, Lu Yu’s icy voice interrupted harshly, ”You old fool, are you deaf? My girlfriend said you have no right here; get out!”

Lu Yu’s words were extremely cold, resembling the biting wind of midwinter, making anyone who heard them shiver.

Lu Yu thoroughly understood Wen Ya and her mother’s ordeal, so upon hearing Wen Xiu Jie’s words, his heart stirred with a wish for vengeance!

Had Wen Xiu Jie not driven Wen Ya and her mother from the Wen family, perhaps Wen Ya’s mother might have lived well, never succumbing to overwork to raise Wen Ya, ultimately departing from life prematurely!

Wen Xiu Jie standing here was essentially the indirect murderer of Wen Ya’s mother!

Lu Yu had long declared this matter needed closure, and with the culprit right before him, he wouldn’t let him go!

Lu Yu’s demand for Wen Xiu Jie to leave wasn’t just for him to exit, but because this tavern was the last memory Wen Ya had of her mother!

This memory was warm and comforting, far better than his own dark and bloody recollections!

Precisely because of its warmth and comfort, Lu Yu wanted Wen Xiu Jie out. Blood from these people would desecrate this warm, comforting place!

”Boy, who do you think you are...”

Wen Xiu Jie started to speak but before he could finish, his neck was directly grabbed by Lu Yu!

”Since you don’t want to leave, then I’ll send you out. Once outside, we’ll ’talk’ slowly!”

At that moment, Lu Yu grabbed Wen Xiu Jie’s neck as though he were picking up a chick, carrying him out!

Seeing this, those young men armed with machetes, along with Tang Haishan, instantly rushed out of the tavern!
