Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Returning to his residence, Lu Yu changed his clothes and then lay in a bathtub filled with hot water, exhaling slowly, appearing utterly relaxed.

At this moment, surrounded by the hot water, Lu Yu felt completely at ease, while images from the tavern incident involuntarily resurfaced in his mind.

The scene of the cake exploding, releasing countless mini syringes, remained vividly clear in Lu Yu’s mind, along with countless possibilities.

This time, who was the person targeting him?

Thinking of this, countless questions emerged instantly in Lu Yu’s mind.

Everyone he had conflicts with had been dealt with by him, lacking the capability to pull off such a thing.

”Could it be them?”

Thinking of this, Lu Yu voiced his thoughts, and dark, bloody scenes flashed in his mind.

”No, it couldn’t be them.”

As those images flashed by, Lu Yu shook his head, instantly dismissing his theory: ”Their style is extremely aggressive, and once they strike, they are completely unrestrained; they wouldn’t use such feminine tactics!”

To hide syringes filled with potent poison in a cake, while unexpected, was also foolish, as once it failed, it would instantly expose their intentions, heightening the target’s vigilance, and adding unnecessary complications for future attempts.

Moreover, rather than going to such lengths to kill, it would be simpler and quicker to use firearms or explosives from a distance.

Their tactics clearly show they want to avoid bigger trouble, which is evidently the method of a local organization!

Yet, even knowing it was a local organization, Lu Yu was still clueless.

After all, even he couldn’t easily identify the mastermind behind this!

”Alright, since you prefer hiding and sneaking around, I’ll use my method to draw you out!”

Thinking this, a sharp glint flashed in Lu Yu’s eyes, and he slowly picked up the phone beside him, dialing a number, and after waiting for it to connect, he spoke softly: ”Hello? Is this Marcus....”

...

Meanwhile, at an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of LA City, a black business car was parked inside, its headlights in the dark warehouse were glaringly obvious, akin to ghostly flames, flickering continuously.

If Lu Yu were present, he would instantly recognize this black business vehicle as the one that had recently rescued the two members of the Shadow Martial Alliance!

In the business car, three men wearing black clothing, with hooded caps, were respectfully facing a laptop, their movements humble and strange.

On the laptop screen, a man sitting in darkness spoke lightly: ”How is the mission I entrusted to the four of you going?”

These words were filled with coldness and an air of superiority, giving a sense of arrogance.

Upon hearing this, the three men exchanged glances, and then the leader hesitated for a moment before speaking: ”Reporting to Mr. Bernstein, the mission....failed.”

”Failed!?”

Upon hearing this, the man referred to as Bernstein, sitting in the shadows on the laptop screen, suddenly raised his voice, coldness evident in it.

”Yes, yes!”

Upon hearing Bernstein’s words, the leader shivered with fear but continued to report: ”This time, when we followed Lu Yu, he surprisingly noticed us. Not only that, but…”

Getting to this point, the leader’s voice abruptly lowered.

”And what!? Speak!”

Upon hearing these words, Bernstein spoke with anger.

Upon hearing this, the leader trembled, fear evident in his eyes, he swallowed, and then spoke: ”We also lost a companion!”

”Useless!”

Upon hearing this, Bernstein’s voice sounded immediately: ”As members of the Shadow Martial Alliance, all I asked was for you to monitor Lu Yu, collect information, and find out his origins, yet you couldn’t even accomplish that small task, and on top of that, lost a comrade!”

”You are a disgrace to the Shadow Martial Alliance!”

These words were charged with anger, showing Bernstein’s dissatisfaction with these Shadow Dancer Alliance members!

”But, Mr. Bernstein!”

Upon hearing these words, the leader spoke: ”This Lu Yu is exceedingly strong, his skills are far beyond ours, even when we all attacked together, we weren’t his match, and the comrade we lost was severely injured by a single kick from him, forcing us to silence him to evade exposure!”

The leader’s words were filled with grievance.

”Hmph, are you trying to find excuses for your failure?”

Regarding the man’s statement, Bernstein showed disdain, sneering and saying: ”If Lu Yu was merely a nobody or trivial person, would I have asked you to monitor and gather information on him!?”

”Not only do you not feel remorse for your mistakes, but you seek to shift blame!”

Bernstein’s words were stern and authoritative: ”I’m deeply disappointed in you!”

”Calm your anger, Mr. Bernstein, we are willing to accept punishment for this mission failure!”

Upon hearing Bernstein’s words, the three men shivered and spoke respectfully, appearing very humble!

”Of course you will be punished, but before that, gathering information on Lu Yu is the most crucial thing!”

Upon hearing the three men’s words, Bernstein spoke: ”Considering this failure, I’ll dispatch someone capable of leading you in three days, and I hope you will cooperate with him to redeem yourselves!”

Upon hearing this, the three men trembled, then joy showed in their eyes, and they quickly said: ”Thank you, sir, we will definitely redeem ourselves!”

These words were filled with sincerity and reverence, along with deep gratitude!

”I hope so!”

Upon hearing these words from the men, Bernstein spoke coldly, then he stood up, and the image on the laptop was completely cut off in an instant.
