Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Upon hearing Wen Ya’s words, Lu Yu was momentarily stunned. He hesitated for a moment and then opened his mouth to ask, ”Why?”

At these words, Wen Ya gently shook her head, a touch of sadness appearing on her beautiful face, ”It’s because of the inheritance!”

Inheritance!?

Hearing this, Lu Yu was slightly taken aback. He had no idea what had happened in between, so when he heard Wen Ya’s words, he didn’t say anything but quietly waited for Wen Ya to continue.

”Twenty years ago, after my mother and I were kicked out of our home, with the help of my mother’s friends, we managed to open a small tavern in Lanling City.”

At this moment, a hint of reminiscence appeared on Wen Ya’s face, ”During that time, for my mother’s sake trying to raise me into an adult, she endured countless hardships. Although the tavern’s business wasn’t particularly good, it wasn’t bad either. It could completely sustain the two of us.”

As she spoke, the pain on Wen Ya’s face deepened, ”About ten years ago, one day I came home from school and unexpectedly saw my father at my mother’s tavern.”

”Your father?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s brows gradually furrowed.

According to Wen Ya’s previous words, when she and her mother were kicked out of their home, her father didn’t even stand up to speak for them. Why did he suddenly appear at that time?

”You find it ironic too, don’t you?”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wen Ya said, ”When we were kicked out of our home, he didn’t even say a word for us. It’s truly ironic that he suddenly appeared back then!”

As she spoke, a complex look appeared in Wen Ya’s eyes, ”I later found out that at the time, he was already terminally ill. Under the torment of a severe illness and the pangs of his conscience, he sought out me and my mother, hoping to compensate us.”

”Compensate you…”

Upon hearing Wen Ya’s words, Lu Yu shook his head, a complex expression appearing on his face.

A woman and her daughter were driven out by her husband’s father, and her husband did not stand up for his wife at the time. Such trauma to the soul is absolutely excruciating!

And such trauma is absolutely impossible to compensate for!

Because this man hurt the hearts of his wife and daughter!

”At that time, my mother’s expression was just like yours now.”

Seeing Lu Yu’s expression, Wen Ya said, ”The mental trauma of ten years to us mother and daughter, how could he possibly compensate for it?”

Between the words, Wen Ya’s voice was low, sounding full of pain.

”And then?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu looked at Wen Ya in front of him and asked, his words full of tenderness. Only now did he realize that this alluring woman in front of him, who was charming to the bone, lacked warmth and a sense of security the most!

”Later, I only knew that he transferred all fifteen pieces of land under his name to mine when he was critically ill.”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wen Ya shook her head, ”Such a decision was completely unexpected even to me. It was so generous of him at the time of his death!”

Hearing this, a hint of confusion appeared in Lu Yu’s eyes.

It must be known that fifteen pieces of land amount to a huge inheritance. In today’s rapidly changing and fast-developing world, owning land means having plenty of capital!

Since Wen Ya has such a huge fortune, why would she leave her hometown and come to LA City to be an exposed marketing director?

Perhaps seeing Lu Yu’s confusion, Wen Ya shook her head and then opened her mouth to say, ”My personality follows my mother’s; we’re both very strong. I will never forget what that man did to abandon us mother and child, so I haven’t bothered with those fifteen pieces of land!”

As she spoke, a hint of reminiscence appeared in Wen Ya’s eyes, ”All these years, I’ve been striving hard in my studies and work, all to give my mother the best possible life. Unfortunately, my mother was weak and sickly and became chronically ill from years of hard work to raise me. She passed away before I could repay her.”

Speaking of this, Wen Ya seemed to recall some sad past events, took a huge gulp of wine, and then said, ”Because of my mother’s affair, I completely lost faith in the place of Lanling City. I left Lanling City directly by myself at that time, came to Lin’an, and joined the Ascension Group. I’ve been working my way up to the position of marketing director!”

”And those fifteen pieces of land, after all these years of ups and downs, have long become prime locations in Lanling City, accounting for thirty-six percent of the Wen Family’s total assets. This is why my brother came looking to have me let go of these fifteen pieces of land!”

As she spoke, a bitter smile appeared on Wen Ya’s face, ”I’ve seen a lot of human nature in so many years in the business world, but this is the first time I’ve seen such shamelessness!”

”Indeed, it’s extremely shameless!”

Hearing Wen Ya’s words, Lu Yu also said lowly. Initially, he didn’t know much about this matter, but after finding out, he realized that making Wenxuan kowtow twenty times was still too lenient!

”So what will you do in the future?”

At this moment, Lu Yu looked at the Wen Ya in front of him and asked. If what Wen Ya said is true, that those fifteen pieces of land account for thirty-six percent of the Wen Family’s total assets, then the Wen Family will never let this go!

”Take it one step at a time!”

At this moment, Wen Ya had already regained her composure. She shook her head and said, ”After all, even if those fifteen pieces of land rot in my hands, I will never give them to the Wen Family. I will never forget what the Wen Family did to us mother and child!”

Between her words, a hint of determination appeared on Wen Ya’s face.

”Sister Demon, if the value of these fifteen pieces of land is really that great, neither Wenxuan nor the Wen Family will easily give up!”

At this moment, Lu Yu lightly patted Wen Ya’s shoulder and then said, ”We need to take the initiative in this matter!”

”Take the initiative?”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wen Ya was slightly stunned, then she said, ”How to take the initiative?”

”It’s simple.”

Hearing Wen Ya’s words, Lu Yu calmly said, ”You’ve been away for so many years, it’s time to go back and see. I just happen to be free, so I can accompany you to visit my aunt’s grave and resolve this matter.”
