Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 315. The Bagua Diagram Appears Once More, Layers of Mist

Lu Yuan had already entered and exited more than one secret realm. But a situation like today’s was the first he had ever encountered.

Especially that strange force. It only deepened the unease in his heart.

Shaking his head, Lu Yuan took a deep breath and then gave the order.

”Let’s first explore this world a little.”

The Immortal’s Cave was the place where Guang Chengzi attained the Dao.

Everyone knew that fortune surely existed within. Though no one knew exactly what it was, it would certainly not be ordinary.

He remembered very clearly that, in his previous life, it was precisely because one mythical secret realm after another emerged that Earth’s Awakened steadily grew stronger.

The only problem back then was that there had been no one capable of suppressing the beings from the Outer Cosmos. As a result, most of the fortune had been seized by them.

But now things were different.

With Lu Yuan’s suppression, and with the Celestial Court having grown as it had today, he had to make use of every opportunity when a mythical secret realm opened.

He had to let his people obtain as much fortune as possible.

”King Lu, what should we do next?”

At this moment, Chunyang walked over. They had come here for the sake of training themselves, and for fortune that could help them advance. As for other things, they did not wish to dwell on it, because it would be useless even if they did due to one simple reason. The overall strength of the Outer Cosmos beings still exceeded theirs. Later on, they would likely have no choice but to contend with those people.

Right now, their most important task was to preserve their strength while continuing to improve. That approach felt somewhat stifling, but there was no helping it.

The Celestial Court had only just managed to accumulate some strength with great difficulty. Under such circumstances, if even a slight problem arose, then what were they to do afterward?

Everything was for the sake of what lay ahead.

At the side, after hearing this, Jiang Haokong could not help nodding as well.

He had already observed that the Immortal’s Cave was enormous. Even if they knew that certain places might contain fortune, it was impossible to search through them one by one.

If they did that, it would take far too much time. And who knew when the secret realm might close?

”That part is simple.”

Yet at this moment, Lu Yuan merely smiled and turned his hand over.

In an instant, streak after streak of light appeared in his palm. Within that radiance, a scroll slowly manifested.

It was none other than the Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram.

Lu Yuan had obtained this scroll back in Shennongjia, and it had been a very long time since he had last used it.

It had two major functions.

The first was to help one find the correct path through the cosmos. The cosmos was vast. Even Sages, or even immortals, could become lost if they lacked the proper coordinates and route.

But with the Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram, things were entirely different. There was no need to worry about that at all.

Its second function was to calculate the movements of the heavens and seek out fortunes. That was the function that Lu Yuan was able to draw from it as of now.

The reason he had taken it out was precisely to use it to search for the fortunes within the Immortal’s Cave.

”Take this. I’ve already infused it with my blood essence. You only need to activate it with your own power, and it will lead you to fortunes,” Lu Yuan spoke with a faint smile in his eyes.

For the Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram to react at all, the item in question had to be at least at the divine item level. And within the Immortal’s Cave, such things would definitely not be rare.

Before Zhu Qingyu and the others could say anything, Jiang Haokong had already grown curious.

”It can actively search for fortune? It’s that powerful?”

He quickly walked over and stared intently at the Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram.

At first, he did not think much of it. After all, as the Holy Son of the Jiang Clan, what kind of treasures had he not seen?

But the more he observed, the more astonishment rose within his eyes. The longer he looked, the more silent he became. At last, he lifted his head and was about to say more.

But very quickly, Lu Yuan waved a hand.

”It’s enough that you’ve already made your guesses. There’s no need to say it out loud.”

It was not that he did not trust Chunyang and the others. It was simply that some things were better left unknown to them for now.

In his previous life, when the Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram first appeared, it had sparked a great battle. If others learned of it now, they would certainly come to seize it.

It was not that Lu Yuan feared such a thing. He simply did not want to create unnecessary trouble.

”Okay.” Hearing that, Jiang Haokong nodded.

Then he asked again, ”So you don’t intend to move together with us?”

The moment Lu Yuan took this thing out, it was obvious he did not intend to move with the rest of them.

Although Jiang Haokong would have liked to go with him, there was no helping it. He had already promised before that he would protect these people.

”I believe the greatest secret of the Immortal’s Cave lies within that giant mountain. So I must go and take a look,” Lu Yuan spoke, then turned his gaze toward the colossal peak everyone had seen the moment they first entered.

Anyone could tell that it was the very heart of the secret realm. And those Outer Cosmos beings who had already entered before them were likely all heading in that direction by now.

Lu Yuan did not know how long this secret realm would remain open. So naturally, there was no way he could accompany Zhu Qingyu and the others in their search for fortune.

That would waste too much time. And since he happened to have free labor in the form of Jiang Haokong, why not use it?

”Fine. We’ll meet up again later.”

Jiang Haokong did not say anything more. He directly took out a jade pendant, one very similar to the one Jiang Ningxian had given to Lu Yuan before.

With it, they could maintain a certain degree of contact. After all, within a place like this, ordinary communicators no longer worked.

After that, Lu Yuan gave a few more instructions, then directly stepped forward and vanished from where he stood.

”Well then, all of you may decide for yourselves where to go next. I’ll follow behind. But remember, do not be too reckless. There may be times when I will not step in,” Jiang Haokong said with a smile.

He understood perfectly well why Lu Yuan had brought him here. It was to protect Zhu Qingyu and the others while they trained. But he also could not intervene in everything. If he did, then there would be no training at all.

”We understand.”

Chunyang and the others nodded. In truth, they had no intention of relying on Jiang Haokong to carry them through every danger. If they could solve something themselves, then they would do so.

At once, with Zhu Qingyu and the others taking the lead, they activated the Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram. Very quickly, it pointed out a blessed land of fortune.

Without the slightest hesitation, they moved at once.

Meanwhile, Lu Yuan was crossing the air at great speed, continuously drawing closer to the mountain at the very center of the secret realm.

Along the way, he encountered numerous Secret Realm Wraiths. Without exception, all of them had been corrupted by some kind of special force.

And the closer he drew to the core region, the more violent those spirits became. Their strength also grew increasingly terrifying. Some of the Outer Cosmos beings had already suffered great damage because of them.

What is it that has turned the Secret Realm Wraiths into this?

The more Lu Yuan thought about it, the stranger it seemed. He simply could not understand it.

But the one thing he could be certain of was that they had been corrupted by some kind of force and that force did not belong to this world.

As for why such a thing had appeared within the Immortal’s Cave, he still had no idea.

Everything remained shrouded in layer upon layer of mist.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Yet just as Lu Yuan was lost in thought, a tremendous roar shook this entire secret realm.

He lifted his head at once, and his expression changed slightly.

The scene in front of him was so shocking that it left him stunned.
