Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1316: Chapter 1316: Exclusive Sales? Impossible!

Ren Huai pondered for a moment, then looked up and smiled at Shu Yu, “Monarch Lu Xiang, this matter is indeed a bit sudden. We still need to think it over, after all, the current situation differs somewhat from what we reported to the main family. Can you give me some time to consider?”

“Of course, no problem at all. I am very sincere about collaborating with the Passion Fruit Shop.”

Shu Yu stood up, “In that case, Young Master Ren can take some time to think, and we’ll take our leave now?”

“Wait a moment.” Ren Huai also stood up, “Though it might be abrupt, we would like to visit Monarch Lu Xiang’s melon seed workshop tomorrow, if it’s convenient.”

“Of course, I’ll come to pick up Young Master Ren early tomorrow morning.”

“Sorry to trouble you, Monarch Lu Xiang.” Ren Huai said to Steward Xu, “See Monarch Lu Xiang off.”

Steward Xu escorted Shu Yu out of the teahouse. After watching the two masters and servants get into the carriage, he returned with a furrowed brow.

Back in the private room, Steward Xu eagerly asked Ren Huai, “Cousin Young Master, do you think what Monarch Lu Xiang said is true? Are we really just a couple of days apart?”

Ren Huai glanced at him, “Whether it’s true or not, Monarch Lu Xiang has already laid it out this way. In any case, it seems impossible for us to retain exclusive sales rights.”

Steward Xu sat down and gloomily took a sip of tea, “What should we do now?”

The business deal could not possibly fall through.

“Since we can’t negotiate that condition, we have to try to push the price down as much as possible. Tomorrow, when we visit the workshop, let’s cooperate and find their shortcomings. The lower the price we can negotiate, the better.”

Steward Xu nodded, “I understand.”

Inside the carriage, Shu Yu and Ying Xi were also chatting. Ying Xi had been present during the earlier conversation and heard everything.

She was a little puzzled, “Miss, will they refuse to cooperate with us because the terms couldn’t be agreed upon?”

Shu Yu leaned against the carriage door, lowering her head as she peeled melon seeds, “No, they came all the way here. If they gave up because of such a minor obstacle, the Passion Fruit Shop wouldn’t have grown this big. Besides, if the Passion Fruit Shop made it all the way to Jiangyuan County, if Xiang Wei Nan got the news, wouldn’t the other shops in the capital know too? It’s just that the Passion Fruit Shop is a large enterprise with swift operations, while others are still observing. Believe me, if our cooperation with the Liao Family fails, another partner will come knocking soon enough.”

Ying Xi nodded, “That makes sense.”

“Moreover, if they truly weren’t interested, why would they propose to visit the workshop tomorrow? It’s just a ploy to delay and take the opportunity to suppress the price. These are common tactics. You’ll understand once you see more of it in the future.”

Ying Xi laughed, “Do they think Miss is new to business and knows nothing?”

“Indeed, they even want me to sell all my goods to them. How could that be possible?”

Admittedly, if the Passion Fruit Shop were to buy all the melon seeds, it would save her the selling process, sparing a lot of trouble, as she would only need to focus on production.

Yet at the same time, the initiative would then be in the hands of the Passion Fruit Shop.

Currently, she is the only workshop producing melon seeds, but that might not be the case in the future.

When melon seeds are being sold everywhere in a year or two, she won’t have the advantage anymore, and by then the Passion Fruit Shop would definitely want to lower the price. If she doesn’t agree, their cooperation would break down.

At that time, wouldn’t she still have to find a place to open her own shop or seek out commercial partners?

But by then, would there still be a place for her Lu’s Melon Seed in the market?

Exclusive sales, impossible!!
