Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1032: Chapter 1032: My birthday in 2 days?

Third Lu mingled among them, rushing to be the first to get on the bridge. He bent down to look at the red carp in the water and raised his head to say to Erbai, “Second Brother, your fish are not good enough. You should raise some big grass carp. You can catch one whenever you want to eat, much more convenient.”

As soon as Dabao heard about eating, he swallowed his saliva, “I want to eat braised fish. Second Uncle, will there be braised fish tonight?”

Erbai couldn’t help but laugh, “Yes, not only braised fish but also your favorite braised pork.”

Dabao was satisfied, pulling back Baoya who was about to throw herself into the water, and wiped his mouth hard.

Speaking of tonight’s dinner, Yuan Shanchuan couldn’t help but ask, “Second Brother, when are you planning to host the moving-in banquet?”

Logically, today is the moving-in day, so it should be held tonight.

However, some people move first and then invite guests later. It seems like it will still require picking a day since it’s just the Lu family siblings here now.

Erbai smiled and said, “In a couple of days, it will be Yu’s Coming-of-age Day, so we’ll host it together with the moving-in feast.”

Coming-of-age Day?

Shu Yu was startled, “My Coming-of-age Day? In a couple of days, it’s my birthday?”

Upon hearing this, everyone else was stunned, all turning to look at her, “Yu, didn’t you know?”

“We’ve been busy preparing for the invitations these days, haven’t you known?”

Shu Yu, “…”

She certainly knew about the invitations. The old lady even asked her whom to invite.

Considering all the time she had spent in Jiangyuan County, it was barely four months. Apart from her relatives in the Lu family, she didn’t have many acquaintances.

Ding Yuehua was one, Doctor Xu was another, as well as Madam Deng and Jiang Yi, along with several people from the county office like Xiang Weinan.

Oh, due to the store business, Shu Yu had also dealt with Lord Yu a few times recently. Counting him as a friend in business, she included him on the list.

It was Meng Yunzheng who wrote the invitations. Shu Yu was very busy, only responsible for giving the guest list to the old lady, who then had the servants deliver them to their homes one by one.

Thus, she hadn’t even read the content of the invitations.

Shu Yu knew that guests were to be invited in a couple of days, but she thought the reason was for the new home’s housewarming. Who knew it was actually to attend her Coming-of-age Ceremony??

“So, it really is my birthday in a couple of days?”

“Of course, there’s nothing more important now than your Coming-of-age Ceremony.” The old lady said helplessly, “How could you forget your own birthday…”

Halfway through her sentence, the old lady suddenly fell silent, as if she had thought of something. She grasped Shu Yu’s hand and said sorrowfully, “Yes, you left us when you were little. That Mrs. Xue from the Shu family took you away and didn’t treat you well. How could she know when your birthday is.”

At the thought of the conduct of those people from the Shu family, and seeing Shu Yu’s sudden realization, the old lady felt even worse.

Yu probably not only didn’t know her own birth date but might not have celebrated a birthday all her life, which explained her lack of reaction.

Others thought of this too, and Madam Ruan stepped forward to hold Shu Yu’s other hand, saying, “Last year when you came back, your birthday had already passed. This time is your first birthday since reuniting with us, and it is also your most important Coming-of-age Day. We must celebrate it well.”

Shu Yu suddenly started to understand, “So, that’s why Father was in such a rush to renovate the house within this month and move in today?”
