Villainous Family Young Master: My Life is Over

No, I could not waste time here.

Uncle Henric and the others would definitely track the traces of the Beast Lord’s Bell. Mother might even come personally. If I stayed here too long, I would definitely be caught.

I took a deep breath and pulled the hood lower over my head.

This was fine. Yes, this was fine, I had prepared for this.

Before leaving the palace, I had read a travel guide called ”Traveling Safely Through Human Countries”.

The book said that important people who did not want to be recognized often wore masks, glasses, and cloaks when going outside. So I had prepared everything.

A mask, a pair of large glasses and an oversized traveler’s cloak.

With this, no one would know my real identity, at least, that was what I thought.

After walking along the road for a while, I followed the crowd into the city.

The city was much noisier than I expected.

Merchants shouted from both sides of the street. Adventurers carried weapons openly. Human children ran past me while holding bread, and carriages moved continuously along the stone-paved road.

Everything felt new and strange to me.

I had visited human countries before, but I had always been surrounded by guards, maids, and diplomats. This was the first time I had walked among ordinary people like this.

At first, I was nervous then I gradually became excited. So this was how ordinary travelers felt. For a short while, I almost forgot that I was running away.

Unfortunately, the people around me kept looking at me.

Strange, why were they looking? Was my disguise not perfect?

No, that should not be possible. The book clearly said this method worked.

While thinking like this, I touched the mask on my face, then touched the glasses.

Soon, I found the magic train station.

The building was much larger than I imagined. Tall pillars supported the arched roof, and a clock tower stood proudly at the front.

People constantly entered and exited the station, and loud announcements echoed from inside.

I hesitated for a moment because I had never used a Magic Train before nor had I ever brought a train ticket.

But I could not retreat here.

I followed the line in front of the ticket counter and waited nervously.

When it was finally my turn, the woman behind the counter looked at me.

For some reason, her expression became a little strange.

”Where would you like to go?”

”W-Western Ridges.”

You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.

”First class, Second Class, Third class, or ordinary seat?”

”First class.”

I answered without hesitation.

There were fewer people in first class, so it should be safer.

Then the woman told me the price and I paid quickly, took the ticket, and left before she could ask anything else.

After that, I followed the directions to the platform and boarded the train.

The first-class carriage was quieter than the outside.

There were wealthy merchants, adventurers, and a few people who looked like knights, but no nobles which made me feel slightly relieved.

If there were too many nobles, I might be recognized.

I walked carefully through the aisle while carrying the leather bag I had just bought in the market in order to look like an ordinary traveller.

Unfortunately, the bag was a bit too big.

”Excuse me… sorry… please let me pass…”

I squeezed through the aisle, but the bag bumped lightly against the side of a seat out of nervousness of first travel.

”Ah!”

I almost fell.

My heart nearly jumped out of my chest and I hurriedly hugged the bag tightly and looked around.

Several people glanced at me, then looked away.

Good! No one recognized me.

Still, my face felt hot beneath the mask.

Calm down, calm down, you are now an ordinary traveler. Yes just an ordinary traveller.

At this moment, I noticed a boy sitting beside the window.

His black hair was neat, his posture was calm, and he had the kind of quiet expression that made him look different from his peers.

But that wasn’t important. What was important was that...

Behind that boy, I saw a terrifying black shadow which seemed to have no end in sight.

It looked like a distorted giant standing behind him, but at the same time, it also looked like an endless abyss that had taken human shape. Its outline was unclear, constantly twisting and collapsing, as if even space itself could not properly contain it.

Just looking at it, I could feel the power of contained. That power, it was far more terrifying than anything I had ever seen.

’What the hell is this?’

I don’t understand, I really don’t understand. How could a human body have such a terrifying Fate?

Yes, Fate!

I have a special pair of Magic Eyes which can see through Fate. It’s called ”Eyes of the Heavenly Fox”.

Of courses, it’s function isn’t limited to seeing through Fate. But I have yet to unlock it’s other functions as I am only a Fifth Order Mage.

Normally, the Fate of an ordinary function was like a small fire.

The Fate of a trained soldier was stronger, like a steady fire burning in the wind.

Talented Martial Artist and Mages had brighter flames. Some burned like torches, some like bonfires, and some carried special colors depending on their talent, bloodline, or blessing from Elemental Spirits.

As for truly powerful people, their Fate was not just a flame, it was a huge light pillar.

A blazing column of fire that rose from their body and pierced toward the sky, as if announcing to the world that they were destined to stand above others.

Mother’s Fate was very beautiful but also very terrifying. White scared pillar of fire rose through the clouds with a vague image of nine tailed fox swaying within it. It was so bright that any ordinary person and even a genius would be eclipsed in front of her.

Auntie’s Fate was a golden flame pillar with vague shadow of a lion, proud and majestic. It rose high above ordinary people, carrying her dignity and pride.

Uncle Henric, one of the strongest knights in the Beast Kingdom, had a silver flame pillar that rose like a war banner, sharp and firm enough to pierce the clouds.

But this boy was different.

This kind of bizzare Fate which seemed to be able to swallow the entire world was something that I had never seen.

For a moment, I couldn’t help but be curious.

Who was this boy? Why was his Fate so terrifying?

If he is destined to such heights in the future, can he help me save my sister?

Thinking so, I greeted the boy.

”H-Hello!”

”Hello, I am Robert!” The boy replied simply.

So he is called Robert.

I curiously looked at the boy and started chatting with him.

When he talked about how suspicious I looked, I couldn’t help but freeze and blush, feeling embarrassed.

At the same time, I also felt worried whether my Mom and Dad had received any news about me.

I had been in this city for quite a while now and with the network of the Kingdom, it was entirely possible.

Shaking my head. I decided to temporarily ignore it. As long as I was fast enough, Mother and the others wouldn’t be able to catch up to me.

Rather than thinking about troublesome stuff, it was better to ask about the Fairyland from Robert.

Since he had such extraordinary Fate, his identity must be extraordinary. He could very well be the Prince of the Empire.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed, he wasn’t from the Royal family and knew nothing about the Fairyland.

Forget it, just consider this making a friend.

Investing in this guy, won’t be a losing business. After all, judging from his fate, he would reached higher height than my mother.
